Only 30 minutes from Devonport and central to a large variety of places to see and things to do we were incredibly happy with our stay at AAA Granary. It is a little dated and a few of the facilities were unusable, but this is quite easy to ignore staying in a country location with all the amazing views and abundant wildlife that share this location. Our family of 4 adults stayed in Rose Cottage which was comfortable and had all of the facilities we needed to cook our meals and relax on the rear deck with unbeatable views of Mt Roland after a long day of sightseeing. The nearby townships offer great shops, fantastic food, and interesting things to see. The area has a rich history and is an excellent jumping off point to visit places such as, Tazmazia & The Village of Lower Crackpot, Cradle Mountain, and Lake Barrington. The internet is a bit patchy which is common across Tasmania, the state infrastructure is currently undergoing upgrades so this will improve, I advise ensuring that you have a phone service provider that has reasonable coverage and download offline google maps. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, and provided us with local knowledge and advice on things to see. We will definitely be coming back here again!
