Family getaway/business trip

I brought my family with me while I was on a business trip. Great location, the kids could explore central Newcastle on foot, plenty of great food on the doorstep and the beach was just down the road. The house was lovely and spacious with great amenities.

The place was easy to find, clear instructions about how to get in & garage was a bonus.

The experience was lovely. Very spacious and loved the parent’s retreat with en-suite on the top level. The beds were comfortable with extra blankets in the linen cupboard. The cleanliness was not up to my standard. More attention to vacuuming under the beds, the skirtboards, floors etc would have been appreciated. The toilet brushes would be best replaced with ones where the water doesn’t leak onto the floor after being used. Small cockroaches were seen in the kitchen. The dish drainer was rusty so not used. A dishdrainer that fits into the sink would be useful. The dishwasher worked well. The placemats were not thoroughly cleaned. There was no sponge in the kitchen (so we bought one) and only 1 tea towel was not enough.

Nice house, lacking some amenities

The property was as described on the advert. The weekend we stayed it was 32 degrees and over. There is only aircon in the lounge and a ceiling fan in the very top bedroom. Other two bedrooms were far too hot to sleep in. Contacted the property manager who wasn’t able to assist with fans. We ended up having to go out and buy our own. We have left them there so hopefully future guests don’t have to do the same!!

We stayed here with my daughter who is having chemotherapy down here in Newcastle.

It was my son's 15th birthday and we got to spend 2 days with him and our family dog. My daughter and I had not seen either of them for 2 months. It was so good to be together. The property was in a perfect location and pet friendly.

Below expectations

The property was ok but definitely did not meet our expectations. Air conditioning was only provided in kitchen/dining lounge level, meaning bedrooms were hot. The toilet in main bathroom leaked & sinks in both bathrooms did not drain properly. When taking glasses from the cupboard, we needed to wash them as they still had lipstick on them. Cockroaches were also seen throughout the property.

Great Location

Great location - however it is on a busy street so you may need to pack your ear plugs. I’ve spoken to Leanne and she was very receptive to my feedback re cleaning and fans for the room. As only the common area has A/C and the master had a fan.

Great location...Highly recommend!

We stayed for the weekend and the place was in a perfect spot. Close to local restaurants, bars and coffee shops. There was plenty of room for 6 people, however if it is very hot, there is no air conditioning or fans in 2 of the bedrooms. Apart from that it suited our needs very well.
