Moreton Island Retreat is a high set 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home located on the national park side of Cowan Cowan, only a 3 minute walk to the beach. This family home does suit 2 families the way it is designed with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom each end of the house, and the living/kitchen area in the middle. Good sized deck with a BBQ.
This nicely presented home is quite quirky with a feel of beach and Bali inside. There are 2 bedrooms in this property both with king size beds and built in wardrobes, one of the bedrooms upstairs has an ensuite, plus a double sofa couch in the lounge room. There is a second bathroom downstairs. Great sized lounge room with Balinese furniture and a TV, lounge area opens out on the deck. The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, gas stove top/oven, microwave, combined kitchen/dining area.

Linen hire is not included, if guests wish to hire sheets, towels, pillowcases and have made beds up prior to arrival, there is an additional fee of $50.00 per person not included in the nightly rates or clean fee.

Beautiful perfect holiday home

We rented this house there was 9 of us all up and there was plenty of room. It was perfect. Nice and clean . Loved the idea of the toilet/shower down stairs . Had a child gate on the front stairs. Plenty of games and dvds for the kids. Just a walk to the beach , in a quiet location. Thankyou very much for letting us rent your beautiful home. 🙂

Cowan Cowan house

Fantastic house for a couple of families. Has everything you need for a great holiday. 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, under covered parking. Feed the Kookaburras by hand, hear and see the local wildlife and have a relaxing time. The only thing missing (for me) was access to Wifi or signal so I could do a bit of work without having to drive out to the beach for signal.

Pure bliss

Driving up to the property had us all excited. The large undercover area was brilliant for storage of equipment and vehicles. The outdoor deck was a great size and frequently visited by (one at first but three towards the end of our trip) kookaburras that we hand fed mince. It was a short walk to the beach where we exited between the cowan cowan war bunkers. Location wise it was a great spot to be, short drive to bulwer, tangalooma wrecks and middle road to take us to the eastern side. The property was well maintained and clean, whilst containing a toaster, kettle, dishwasher, washing machone and plenty of dvds to entertain our kids when we were having down time back at the property. Photos do not do this home justice and the afternoon November breeze was beautiful out on the deck having dinner. There is an outdoor shower for sandy humans returning home after a beach trip and two shower/toilets which would easily be comfortable with two families. We had an amazing family holiday, the best one yet, Thank you to the owners who rented the property and to the great communication of Paula. 6 stars (Out of 5)

Beach Holiday

Staying in a house like this one just makes a beach holiday so easy. Literally the only thing missing is wi/fi so if you're holidaying with young children or need an internet connection for work or business this will definitely be an issue as the Island has very little phone service areas.

Great house for a wonderful break on Moreton Island

My husband and I and another couple stayed in the house for 3 nights. Very quiet, great location, house better than expectations. Very spacious for 2 families with plenty of bathrooms, large kitchen/living area and great deck and good BBQ. Plenty of room under the house as well but we didn't use it. Kitchen very well stocked with all the equipment you could possibly need. Very comfortable beds and furniture.
