Great location, great house

House is clean - smaller than the pictures imply though, but that wasn't an issue. Lovely back deck area where we spent most of our time. About a 15 minute river walk to Bright town centre. Just needs WiFi to make it perfect....

Excellent property

Beautiful place extremely well set up. Nothing short of. Close to town- can drive a good walk The only thing - no lighting outside near the main road so it’s hard to find the driveway in the dark.

A few days in Bright

The property was very well furnished, clean and had everything we needed. My only complaint would be the shower, very small , a fair bit of mould around the bottom edge, the shower caddy would fall if the shower head came down which happened to me twice!! So perhaps a new shower then it would be perfect.

Lovely, quiet unit in beautiful setting

Great base from which to explore Bright and surrounds. Lovely balcony overlooking rear grounds. Some minor maintenance needed and no internet with very poor 4G to make up for it (insufficient bandwidth for streaming). This may not be relevant for some.

Everything you need is here...from the bed linen to the kitchen (appliances, cookware, plates, utensils and basic pantry items) The lounge suite was super comfy and found it to be very quite as we were set back from the road. Will definitely becoming back every year to this scenic little gem. Well done to the owners for how well decorated this place was. We felt so at home and treated it like it was our own home.

Reviewer Comments: This property was perfectly located, close enough to walk into the main part of town and right on the walking track.It was very comfortable and perfectly set up for a lovely getaway weekend. Everything you would need to be able to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery surrounding the house, especially from the back porch. Being fireplace novices though it would have been nice to have some tips on how to use the fireplace in the guest book as well as WiFi which is usually a standard with all places. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to all.

Reviewer Comments: We go to Bright every year for the Gala weekend of the Autumn Festival. Every year we rebook when we return the keys. This year the rental agency DICKENS REAL ESTATE booked us for the wrong weekend!So while Bright was still beautiful, there was no market, no parade, & very little hype. When we called them on it, the manager said "YOU CAN'T RELY ON US" several times. So take note fellow travellers - YOU CAN'T RELY ON THEM!!! It's true, we also should have checked, but why would we after 6 years of doing the same thing?! That's their job, no?!!

We love coming to Bright, we bring our bicycles and like to have a garage to store them in safely, which it has. The house was clean and well stocked with appliances, most of which we didn't use, preferring to eat out locally most of the time. The king bed is very comfortable, the ensuite very small and dark, as there was only 2 of us, we used the bathroom instead. We were very disappointed to find that the advertised recliner chairs and foot stools were not in the house, and whilst the lounge seating looks nice, it's not appropriate seating for everyone, unless you like to lie around on the furniture. Older guests may find the lounge seating less accommodating. The photos on the website show curtains in the living area, there aren't any. This home is suitable for a small family and is lovely and quiet amongst a development of similar properties with what appears to be permanent residents.

Quiet Sanctuary with a stunning deck

The list as advertised was accurate, except that the kitchen was even better than expected; this was the owners holiday house so they have have not skimped on items. The king sized bed was comfortable and the second bedroom had a queen sized bunk against the far wall with a king single on top. Both these rooms face south-west, and there are outside blinds for the summer. The linen was crisp and top quality. The main bathroom is across from the main bedroom, and although slightly dated, was beautifully clean. There was also an ensuite. The wood burner a real boon as was the reverse cycle airconditioner. The unit is on the Harrietville side of town and is about a 15 minute walk to the numerous bars, restuarants and shops. Add another 5 minutes if walking to Woolworths. We had several email and verbal conversations with the owner prior to our stay, and she was delightful to deal with. We would thoroughly recommend this property to family and friends.

Just ok

The location is great and the white rocks in front help you locate the place especially at night. The house was not properly cleaned when we got in, as I found a used scrunched up cupcake wrapper on the floor near the couch, a kitchen towel and child's underwear in the laundry sink. There were ants which disappeared after we cleaned up the spots they were hanging out at. No firewood was provided even if there was a fireplace. Would have been nice to know where to buy some, since none were provided. Electric blankets on the bed were great and needed since there was no form of heating in the bedrooms. The master bedroom bathroom was super tiny, and both bathrooms could use an update (the showers sprayed and leaked at the connector joints when turned on), but they served their purpose. The kitchen sink tap was not secure and would move when being turned on or off. The house is adequate but the photos definitely make it look a lot nicer. The recliner chairs were probably the best part of the house. No wifi, which I knew prior to booking. For those with Vodafone, the signal isn't great and it's very slow. Optus is ok, it would have slow moments but not a lot and was definitely more reliable than Vodafone. Best thing about the property (aside from the recliner chairs) was dealing with Bright Holidays and the location.

Great location, close to everything and quiet.

We enjoyed our stay, we chose it for the quiet location where we could relax out side with a view. Had everything you need for a comfortable stay close to town and walking tracks. Only disappointment was it had tiered bathrooms with bad mould. And dirty windows with cobwebs. Other wise yes l would recommend.
