Cabin was cozy and perfect for our weekend getaway. It was clean and the amenities provided (washer/dryer, hair dryer, coffee pot, grill, fire pit, hammock, etc…) were helpful. Our teenage sons enjoyed fishing in the pond and my wife and I enjoyed coffee on the front porch swing looking over horse pastures and the beautiful fall colors as we looked out to the hills of the Missouri countryside. Our host, Nick, met us on arrival and made sure to answer any questions we had. Such a great property!!

Peace and Paradise

A truly beautiful country setting—peaceful, relaxing, and the perfect place to recharge. We left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Nick was a wonderful and accommodating host who made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend to anyone looking to unwind. We’ll definitely be back!

Stormy St Patrick’s weekend

Stay was amazing for our family. Did have to shelter in the owners house during a bad storm. Owners and family were supper friendly to our family and friends that stopped by and walked the property. The cabin is really comfortable and homey. Would or planning to stay again in the future .Ken Moeser

Amazing Getaway!!

Very quiet, beautiful and amazing place to stay. Loved watching the birds at the feeder right outside the front porch. Enjoyed seeing and petting the horses. Great view from the front porch. Hosts were great and took care of any needs that we had. Highly recommend!!

A peaceful retreat!

This cabin and its location were perfect for getting away from it all! We loved hiking on the property, the pond, and sitting out on the front lawn watching the sunsets! The cabin is super cozy and had all we needed! The host was also extremely helpful and had great communication! We hope to come back in the future! Thanks for a great stay!

Great Stay, Great Host

We had a great time at the cabin. Nick was a fantastic host. We really appreciated getting to see the bees and enjoyed the frequent visits from Graham and Teddy (two very loving golden retrievers).

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway to this lovely cabin. We adored the horses and the views. The cabin was rustic, comfortable and cozy. We have a wonderful time! Nick, our host, was hospitable and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.

Wedding retreat

My daughter was getting married at the Daniel boone historic home on Saturday. Friday night the bride and bridesmaid stayed on the property and we all got ready from the cabin. After that the new couple enjoyed the peace and quiet for the weekend. Location was perfect! Quiet and the most beautiful grounds.

Coziest Cabin with a Magnificent View

This darling cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Located in beautiful Defiance, MO, but nothing beats the view from the front porch in the most comfortable swing. The horses, the birds and lots of deer. We slept great in the extremely comfortable bed. One night there was some severe weather and Nick was so kind to offer us to come over and stsy in there basement. The owners are so very nice. We hope to return in the future.

Tranquility

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin so much. It was great being around so much nature for a change. Birds, horses, hummingbirds, chickens, fishing, visits from Graham (friendly dog of the owners) were some of the highlights. Close to several wineries and easy to get to. We will definitely be back

Absolutely perfect

This was just what we were looking for! So cozy! We brought several things with us just Incase we needed them and found that there was no use for bringing it! Kitchen is fully stocked to prepare meals. There was a fan and space heater. Chargers on night stands. And plenty of blankets to cozy up with on the couch. The horses were super friendly and would come to the fence when we stopped. The dog is super friendly too! We would love to go back and stay longer!

Heaven in the Hills!

This is a great getaway cabin - just click the book button, you won’t be disappointed in any way. Very clean, stocked with everything you would need and it comes with amazing views. The owners live on the property as well and are very nice and responsive should you have any questions. Coffee on the front porch watching dozens of birds come to the feeders and seeing the horses in the pasture was relaxing. A big plus were the visits from the owners golden retriever Graham! We are already planning another trip back in the spring and can’t wait to get back!
