Overall a very nice place to stay, especially if you want somewhere out of the way.
The GOOD: very quiet, great beds, newer kitchen and bathrooms, lots of property to explore, open floor plan.
The BAD: ice maker in freezer did not work, spiral staircase makes a LOT of noise and moves a lot when going up or down, mud in front yard makes it hard to go into house without getting shoes muddy, internet was not working (note left asking us to try and fix - really?), if you do not have AT&T cell phone service there is no cell coverage.
Best part of the stay was meeting Ken Amon (2 driveways north on PA-428 on same side of street). We came for the fishing and tried both creeks, 2 Mile Lake and the Allegheny River, all with no luck. Ken has a pay lake and offered to let my family fish there. Bluegill (caught more than we could count), bass (largest was a 4#/20 inch large mouth) and catfish (largest was a 15#/30 inch channel cat) abound and some of the largest trout I have ever seen! Ken has an artesian well on his property for drinking water and can supply information on local areas of interest. Highly recommend stopping by during your visit.
