Nice spot

The house is in a nice location. Quiet neighborhood with a park on the corner and beach within walking distance. Located between Duck and Nags Head. House was comfortable but as stated in the listing there are are stairs. The kitchen is upstairs so going up the stairs is unavoidable. There were minor issues but I reported them to the property contact so I assume they will be resolved. Beds were nice, they have both mattress and pillow covers for allergens and bugs. Everyone fit comfortably.

Family vacation

The keyless check in was outstanding but the grass was so tall it looked like an abandoned property. The home was very nice on the inside but the bed linen wasn't clean on some of the beds. There wasn't extra toilet paper in any of the bathrooms and the locks on the bathroom doors werent working. In the downstairs bedrooms we encountered several large Waterbugs. The home was the perfect size for our family. The great room and wrap around porch was outstanding. The neighborhood was really nice and quiet. Perfectly located to walk comfortably to the beach. The home is also in need of a little TLC/dusting of ceiling fan. In spite of the issues identified, we really enjoyed our vacation.

Hi Andrea, we want to make vacation rental easy for everyone, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your stay. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: -While we do have ongoing yard service that manages and keeps the yard in good order, the lawn gets serviced weekly, depending on the weather. however we understand your frustration with how this impacted your stay -Our service partner works very hard to clean and change out all linens between guests including the laundry and cleaning. We apologize for the inconvenience of the stain and purchased new ones to ensure our high standards are being met and exceeded. -With regards to bugs, we have had no reports of pests before your arrival and afterward from other guests. However, we do apologize for the pests that you experience. We have passed this along to pest control to ensure that this issue does not recur for future travelers. We take pride in our home and provide an exceptional stay to our guests!

Could have been better

When we got there our first impression was "i dont know" the lawn was over grown. As we entered the house it seemed ok and like someone had done some remodeling. It had nice floors and smelled clean. The kitchen and living room area is great and the balcony is great as well. The problem we had was the sheets had stains on every set, some clear some black, and the shower curtain looked like it had feces on it. There was also sand in all of the downstairs beds. Also, as I was getting in the shower, i put my hand on the wall and it crumbled with the tile falling off of the wall. You can tell it had been leaking for some time and had some mold behind it. I will not book here again.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: -We always look to provide guests with the best experience at our home -We are very sorry about your experience with the shower. We are working in the process of replacing the shower tile grout, unfortunately, the construction work did not get finished the same day as your check-in date. We were not notified by your group about any other issues regarding the home and did not receive any communication about the tile concerns until after your stay -Regarding the sheets, they are brand new, we were not aware of the stains and we will be replacing them to accommodate our future guests -The owner let us know they inspected the shower curtains and they are spotless -While we do have an ongoing yard service that manages and keeps the yard in good order, we work hard to keep the living areas landscaped with a full-time crew. We apologize for the inconvenience since we had let the previous landscapers go, and have hired a new team that will uphold our high standards moving forward Thank you for letting us know about your experience. We will ensure all concerns are addressed so that future guests find this home clean and comfortable.
