Clean well equiped property with an amazing view of the night sky. The daytime view is great too. The hiking trails are good too. Ill definitely stay again.

Our stay at mountain Top Resort

We LOVED our stay! Barbara & Charles were great hosts, providing everything you could think of to make our stay comfortable, private and enjoyable. The goodie basket was very thoughtful, and not to mention the incredible views. We will definitely return!

Amazing view with a quiet and peaceful stay

We stayed here for our 22nd anniversary for a nice and quiet weekend getaway. The property was easy to get to and the hosts were very easy to work with. It had everything we needed and the view was amazing. Hosts also made us feel welcome by recognizing our anniversary and recommended a great restaurant for dinner. We really enjoyed staying here. 5 Stars all around!

Secluded just how we like it.

Absolutely gorgeous view. We felt at home right away. Owners are very welcoming. Everything was so helpful with the information and even had us a basket of goodies waiting on us. We enjoyed the stay very much!

very clean incredible views

Totally wonderful experience for anyone that wants to just get away! very secluded but only 15 minutes from the interstate.Pictures do not do it justice!Every thing we needed plus Very friendly hosts. Hiking trails and golf course very close by. great kitchen to cook in.

My go to place

It was as beautiful as we remembered. Charles and his wife are great hosts and fun to talk with. When we know we're going to be in TN this is the first place we check out. We schedule our stay and look no further. It'll always be our go to place.

Million dollar view and hosts!

This was our second stay with Barbara and Charles and it was just like coming home! We absolutely love them and their home. The views and seclusion are just the icing on an already amazing cake. The room was, as always, immaculate and very accommodating. The area is a nice drive to all of the places we typically go and very convenient for us. We love it there and are planning to make it an annual visit, if not more! Thank you again!

Great Place in the Mountains

Chuck and Barbara are the best! From the property location, cleanliness, and scenary, you just cannot beat it! We enjoyed visiting and will definitely be back in the fall. The house has everything you need, just bring yourself and enjoy! Thank you so much. We will keep in touch!

This is a heavenly place! Views are amazing and the pictures don’t do it justice. Barb and Chuck are fantastic hosts, and this place felt like our home away from home. We celebrated my mother’s 76th birthday and it will be a memory we will hold dear to our hearts. We WILL be back soon! Love you Barb and Chuck! Thank you for giving us such an amazing memory. 🙏❤️

Perfect getaway with an awesome view!

Charles and Barbara are great hosts with a unique, private guest house attached to the main home. I couldn’t expect anything better for a weekend stay! Very clean, very private, with a bluff view of the gulf of London Creek. Fully stocked kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. They have thought of everything for a stay with them. Even snacks! A great value for the price of this stay. This place is on my list to return to!

Beyond Amazing!!!

Charles & Barbara are the absolute best! They went above & beyond! Their home is gorgeous, feels like home and the view from the back porch is beyond amazing. Very clean, comfortable and had everything we would need. Our expectations were exceeded on every level. We HIGHLY reccomend! We will definately be staying there again-hopefully in the near future.

Breathtaking view

I cannot say anything negative about this place. The view was breathtaking and amazing. It was so beautiful during the day and it was even more beautiful with so many stars at night. Me and my husband typically stay at a hotel in Cookeville but we have decided that this place would be our place when we visit the area next time. Also, I have never visited any guest houses where offers little breakfast items and beverages. The owners so generous to have a care basket with snacks and breakfast items for us. We loved everything about this place and we will make sure to visit again. :)

I could live there!

I can't say enough great things about this property and the owners! From the communication before to the ease of check-In & out. The apartment is charming and comfortable, which is really important to anyone that has spent the day hiking the beautiful areas of TN. The accommodations were spotless, the view breathtaking and Charles and Barbara were so friendly and easy to visit with. We hiked the Burgess Falls State Park and then the Cowpen Trail right in the neighborhood! We recommend both, the Cowpen is a bit difficult so if you aren't used to hiking try one of the easier ones. We hope to return and spend more time exploring the area and plan to stay there again! Thank you Charles & Barbara for making such a wonderful place available to visitors!

I got my Peaceful Sweet Mountain Retreat and more...

I'm a business owner & refugee from the New Orleans hurricane. I wanted this to be a mountain retreat where I could have internet to work peacefully from here and also have the opportunity to go hiking and enjoy the area as well. Host Barbara kindly showed me directly into my new home & it was certainly stocked with everything I needed! This host is SO thoughtful, all I needed was the few clothes I brought and the food I had picked up for the well stocked kitchen. (I enjoy cooking) The bath was well stocked as well with everything a lady needs to feel at home, and a treat to find a big bathtub/ shower. The screened porch is lovely, the view, heaven. They've given great sketches and info for the nearby trails & parks & things to do but frankly staying here was a gift for me. The roads to Nashville & Cookeville were easy & gorgeous what a lovely drive! These hosts are excellent if you need them & quiet if you don't. I know I will love to visit them again. Jaime

Perfect getaway, perfect host/hostess with a fantastic view will leave you wishing you lived there!!

Our week stay was not enough! The apartment is on the other side of the house with the huge garage between the main house and the apartment. Separate entrance. It was IMMACULATE and had everything you need. It had the best layout of any vacation rental we have experienced, and we have been to many. Fantastic screened in porch to enjoy and you still have the view. We spent every evening on the back deck patio table enjoying the view. Oh, and I always read about the beds...this king size bed was SO comfortable that we were looking for the mattress tag to see the brand so we could buy one. Barbara and Chuck met us when we arrived to give us a folder with all of the private hiking trails right there in the community, suggested restaurants, etc. We are from Houston, where restaurants are top rated. We were amazed at the restaurants in Cookeville and Crossville. Fantastic! We had the full kitchen with everything, and I mean everything. Barbara had a welcome basket that was packed. I pack everything when going to a vacation rental because you never know what will be provided. This place had everything. A huge closet with lots of hangers, travel shampoos and conditioners, bar soap, pump soap, extra razors, shaving cream, I could go on and on. I was ecstatic about the hangers. Wine opener, pizza cutter, plastic containers for left overs. Barb thought of EVERYTHING. And it is decorated so cute. We thoroughly enjoyed Barb and Chuck's company, however they were very cognizant of our privacy . We picked their brains on retiring in that area and had a wonderful time learning the history of the area. We had a blast with them. I wish they were my neighbors! We plan on returning in January to check out the weather. P.S. If you need a hair cut, Chuck trained under Vidal Sassoon.

Absolutely Wonderful
