Fabulous property with a super responsive host. Had everything we needed and then some. Donkeys in the pasture were very friendly. Overall we had a fantastic experience that we will be talking about for a long time. Highly recommend for large groups.

Wonderful experience staying here. This property was even better than the listing shows. The home is absolutely gorgeous! The beds were comfortable and the hostess was gracious and thought of everything! She even stopped over to let us know that the weather might be dicey one night if we wanted to put our vehicle in the garage. No detail was overlooked and being able to interact with the horse and rescue donkeys just made the stay that much better. We will definitely be returning!

Great property and host/manager

We have stayed in several larger VRBOs and this is an exceptional place and host. There were eight in our party and we had plenty of room to spread out but many areas for gathering as well. Especially enjoyed the outside fire pit and the donkeys were fun to interact with. The host was the most responsive and helpful of any place we have stayed

Bourbon trail friends retreat

I cant say enough about this amazing property! We are a group of 5 couples getting together to experience part of the bourbon trail. This home was beautiful, and in stunning horse country. The house had everything we needed, and the owners were so helpful, and friendly.

Great Place to Stay with Friends!

This house was a great place for our 4 couples to stay on our Keeneland trip. This is our 3rd year of meeting someplace that has a track and this is hands down the best house we’ve stayed in. The house was very clean, well stocked (including plenty of bath towels) with a great floor plan and location. We loved having the donkeys and horse in the “backyard”. Rebecca provided a lot of nice touches to make our stay more enjoyable and always was quick to respond to any communications. If you ever need a larger home in Lexington, I’m convinced you can’t find a better one than this.

Excellent property and the property manager is outstanding! Extremely thoughtful and very accommodating. Extremely well provisions with thoughtful items you might forget for a trip! Excellent property. Enjoyed the visit extremely. Can’t wait to come back.

Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect. The home is as advertised with all the amenities you would expect. The home is ideal for large groups, we have 10 people, 5 couples who all had their own private bedroom and bath. We will absolutely seek out this property on our next visit to Lexington.

We had an amazing time staying on the farm! Absolutely beautiful! The owners even leave you carrots and apples to feed the horses and donkeys AND wood for the solo stove outside!! They thought of everything! ❤️

Very special place on short notice!

Had a family reunion scheduled elsewhere and they canceled the night before with no explanation. There were 10 in our party but we were celebrating Thanksgiving with my son and his family who live in Lexington. The house was a blessing for us to find!

Wonderful stay with life long friends. House was immaculate and beautiful. Loved the donkeys and Lady. Fire pit was great. Dining room was perfect for 5 couples. Only recommendations would be to label all the light switches (very confusing), sharper knives, and instructions for the a/c. Possibly a user/owner’s manual.

Texans visiting Lexington

The property and grounds were beautiful. The property contact was responsive and very helpful. We had 4 couples on the trip and had lots of room to gather in the evenings. Bedrooms were very nice. Property owner supplies apples to feed the donkeys and horse, which was a treat. Would recommend this location for a big group or family event.

Whole family approved

From Florida to KY for a college graduation, this house was PERFECT for the whole family. Nicely equipped with all the amenities, plenty of privacy but also plenty of gathering space. The view is breathtaking! Our family celebrated a great accomplishment and we were able to do it all together under one roof comfortably. Beautiful memories made & we WILL return again for sure!

Amazing House

What a wonderful stay! Rebecca, our host, was gracious and welcoming. Her accommodations were amazing. The property is located in a beautiful area and is a country estate. The 5 bedroom/5 bath house was perfect for our group of 10. All the rooms, bathrooms, and living areas were exceptionally clean. As with most get-togethers, we tend to gather in the kitchen, which was ideal. It was spacious and extremely well equipped. All of us had a great time and we can certainly recommend this property!

Base Camp

Stayed at the property for a week with four other couples using it as a base camp for motorcycle riding in the area. Everything was great… Plenty of room and parking for vehicles, trailers, and motorcycles. Easy to get to various attractions in middle KY. Home was spotless and comfortable for all with each bed room having its own bathroom. Property owner/manager was very helpful and made themselves available checking on us via email throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

What a FANTASTIC vacation!!!!!

This property is phenomenal! Spotless and beautiful throughout. Becky is super sweet and supplied so many things from toilet paper to snacks, which most home owners don’t, to make our trip outstanding. She even supplies firewood. Mini donkeys and a horse to feed and pet added to the vacation too. We’ve rented a lot of vacation homes over the years, but this one in the BEST ever!! Hope to return in the near future!

Black Locust Farm Review - Lexington Kentucky

The best VRBO location ever... Rebecca was an absolutely joy to work with before and during our stay. The house was clean, orderly and had plenty of amenities to support our stay. All questions where answered as soon as I text Rebecca and there were only a few. Rebecca was very attentive to any needs we had and was always in the background and out of our way during our stay. We will definitely return in the future.

UK Graduation Stay

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful stay for our daughter's UK graduation. The best home rental we have ever stayed in. Everything about this property is absolutely first rate and impressive. If you are wavering between this property and another, stay here! You will not be disappointed at all. The home and property are beautiful with many sitting areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, patios even a pasture out back with donkeys, which we fed carrots & apples every day! Communication was beyond excellent, both before and during our stay. Questions were answered almost immediately with every effort made to accommodate us. Our host went above and beyond. We really appreciate all the efforts, attention and special touches to help us celebrate and make the weekend memorable. These memories will be with us forever. 5 stars is not enough! I hope to be back!

We have a grown son and daughter. Our daughter is married and they have our two grandchildren. They live in Sugar Land Texas. Our son lives in Lexington.
