Mountain getaway

This was our second stay at this beautiful mountain house, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. Perched at the top of a mountain in Tennessee, the views are absolutely breathtaking. The house is peaceful, cozy, and, most importantly for us, completely fragrance-free, which is a huge plus since I have allergies. It’s hard to find places that truly honor that, and we’re so grateful this one does. We only stayed two days, but it was the perfect little escape. We love it and will definitely be back again!

Location, view, comfort, appliances, dishes, beds, bath, etc, etc all awesome. 2 bd, 1 bath with great furnishings and deck. Hot tub but we didn’t use. Plenty of level parking

Great Getaway!!

My wife and I loved this beautiful mountain getaway!! The location was perfect. We were 25 minutes away from all of our favorite spots but yet were surrounded by nothing but quiet and calmness. We cant wait to book again!!

Never a Bad Day Waking Up to Those Views

Although we weren’t at the house much for our trip to Tennessee, we loved it! I sat every morning in complete awe of the views. The sunrise from the deck is breathtaking and my camera roll on my phone will tell you so. I couldn’t take enough pictures. The only thing I would suggest… and this is because during our stay there were 80 MPH winds up on the mountains (no exaggeration either)… the hot tub cover continued to fly off and to try and open the door to strap it back on was a bit scary. (especially with no power) My husband suggested maybe putting the brackets on the deck more to the corners of the hot tub so you could criss cross the straps to hold the cover on better. We tried criss crossing them where they currently are and it didn’t work and it really didn’t work straight across as it continued to blow off all night. Just a suggestion. Regardless of the crazy winds, we had an amazing experience! The memories we created are priceless!!

Best honeymoon stay!

My husband and I had an amazing time on Shell Mountain! The house was absolutely beautiful and the views were breathtaking! If I could rate this place 10 out of 5 stars I would! Very clean and welcome. We felt very comfortable and we will most definitely be back!

we loved our stay here and the morning view from the patio every single day during our stay. place was clean and it had everything we needed. it is in drivable distance to lots of places.

Amazing Veiws

Perfect stay

We loved this place. Check in was great, location was awesome, and cabin was spectacular. Good for a couples getaway or a small family. Not much to do right around the cabin but within the driving distance of so many fun attractions!

Absolutely Gorgeous View and Immaculate Property!

Wonderful Stay! The view was stunning! The home was beautifully decorated and in excellent repair! The cleanliness was exceptional! The location is ideally tucked away in the Smoky Mountains in a very quiet location. I highly recommend this VRBO, the property owner was organized, caring and communicated very well!

Absolutely stunning property!

My husband, 7 month old and I, could not have been happier with our stay here! Clean, spacious, and absolutely stunning views! The best views near gatlinburg you can find! The property manager was great. She even text me to tell me a guy was coming out to check the water filtration, so I wouldnt be scared. If we come back to gatlinburg, we will be sure to stay here again. Thank you Christina!

Beautiful home on top of a hill allowing for spectacular view of mountains and wildlife.

Hands down the best vrbo homes I have stayed in. The home provides I view that pictures just does not give justice to. The newly renovated kitchen allows us to stay in and cook meals to allow full utilization of the beautiful wrap around porch. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a home away from home getaway.

Charming and Spotless!

All of the reviews are spot on. Beautiful views, peaceful, breathtaking, etc. Let me emphasize the cleanliness. We have always tried to follow the rule of 'leaving a place better than you found it,' but that was not possible here. I am someone who cannot tolerate spiders, of any size, shape, or form so staying in the mountains can be risky. (I once canceled a rental because someone left a review about the hosts needing to spray for spiders.) When we arrived, it was not only spotless throughout the house but there were no webs anywhere outside either. It appeared the cleaning crew had cleaned the ceiling on the covered porches, light fixtures, between each rail on the deck, the legs on the chairs and every inch of the hot tub. This was the first rental I have ever been able to TRULY relax. 5 stars is just not enough. Thank you Kristina for being a stellar host!

My husband, Chris, is a retired Air Force Chaplain from Mississippi. He loves real estate & keeping us guessing-- "What could our next family adventure possibly be?!"

Although we have been stationed in every region of the country, "the smokies" have always remained a special place in our lives. When the opportunity arose to turn a long term rental into our very first vacation rental (Shell Mountain Cabin), we were thrilled and slightly terrified. Through the years, our business has grown.
