Grand 50th Surprise for my Hubbie

I couldn’t have asked for better weather or a more perfect setting for a surprise getaway to celebrate my husband’s 50th! The house was spacious with a gorgeous view, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. We had a few minor issues, but the host responded promptly and was very accommodating. The owner even helped me arrange a golf outing for my husband and his friends, which made the trip extra special. I’d love to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake and all the amenities that were limited at the end of the season.

Incredible View

The property was very well-maintained with one of the most incredible views I've ever seen. The outdoor lounging area was wonderful and we spent a lot of time out there. We had a group age ranging from 9-45 and we all loved it!

Beautiful Home, Amazing View

We spent Thanksgiving here with our extended family. Every room is beautiful and comfortable. The view from the deck/covered porch is just amazing. The kitchen is a cook's dream! The location is very private and quiet. We absolutely love this house!!!

Great location and view

We were in the area from Ohio for a family event and the house was the perfect size for our group. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The outdoor deck and fireplace was used everyday!! Beautiful views of the lake. If we need a larger house again in the future, we will definitely book again.

Lovely home with a great view

Stunning view and great impression as soon as you open the front door. Plenty of room for a family of 11. Loved the outdoor space…the fireplace was wonderful for a rainy week. Kitchen had lots of equipment for pulling together a Christmas meal. But, you have to go a ways for groceries. The local places aren’t great.

Fabulous house for the whole family.

We had a wonderful four nights at Greer's Ferry Lake with the extended family. The house was beyond beautiful with an picture perfect view of the lake. The kitchen and baths were well stocked. The house was very clean and the garden was beautifully landscaped. The property manager was extremely helpful with lots of great local recommendations. There was something for everyone. We fished, swam, hiked, and enjoyed the view. Would absolutely recommend this property to friends and relatives.

Great house for large family

Booked this place for a family reunion and it was great for gathering together. The kitchen, patio, and open concept living/dining room made it easy to enjoy meals together. Had a bit of trouble with water pressure, but communication with property manager solved it in less than 24 hours and then we were fine. Took away one star for check-in since it was difficult to get the check in instructions to access the home. Would suggest upgrading to a keyless entry to make it easier for guests. The view? 10/10.

Absolutely stunning fall views!

Our blended family enjoyed every moment of this gorgeous house. Spectacular views & great conversations made our Thanksgiving weekend definitely one to remember. Bedrooms on all 3 levels worked out perfectly for our couples.

Family Lake Getaway

We have rented this house two times now and love the views and how many people it can accommodate. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need and the back deck offers a great gathering spot. We did have a few maintenance issues but they were resolved. My only complaint would be unless you like waking up to the sunrise do not sleep in the master bedroom, it has no curtains on the windows facing east and it is extremely bright! Curtains or blinds on those windows would be nice.

Great Week

We had a great week-long family vacation. This property was perfect for our extended family of 14. Everyone had their own space and the main floor and kitchen were large enough for the whole group to hang out comfortably. We had one minor issue and it was handled cheerfully and immediately. Lots of things to do in the area. This property is terrific, especially for larger groups.

Beautiful View!

My brothers' and sisters' family reunion at Grand View Lodge was a huge success. Spacious inside with all the comforts and conveniences you would expect from a luxury home. We spent much of our time outside under the roof with a gentle breeze to keep us cool. The view is amazing and far enough from the water not to hear all the noise of passing boats. A glorious four days at Greers Ferry Lake!

Wonderful Property, Better Property Management

This home is located on a hill overlooking the lake and the views through living room windows, or one of the back or side decks are amazing. The house was very clean and it may have been the best stocked kitchen from a standpoint of dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc…. No doubt they expect families to prepare meals in this kitchen. The beds were comfortable and there was space for all 9 of our party to have space when they needed it. **** Now the bad, that turned out to be the good. When we arrived, with 3 young adults / teenagers, they immediately noticed that the internet and most of the TV’s didn’t work. We noticed that some of the lights didn’t work in specific parts of the house. We found out later that there were several lightning storms recently and all indications are that a strike took out most of the electronic equipment and some of the electrical. Now the good part of this… We unpacked and messaged Mrs. Margaret and immediately got a response. She had someone come check it out within right away and this was on a Sunday of a holiday weekend. They tested and attempted to remedy the issues with no luck. Mrs. Margaret then communicated the results and that she would locate someone to come out the next day, Memorial Day, and they did. They brought new equipment and installed it and still no luck, which confirmed that the issue was likely caused by a lightning strike. Tuesday morning started a parade of people fixing things and getting everything back right. The responses were immediate and the property management team was relentless in getting everything fixed and back working again. We’ve done many short term rentals at this point and have never had them be so responsive and committed to making things right. We had a wonderful trip and even though we only had internet for a day, it was no one’s fault and the team did everything possible to get it fixed quickly. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. We also brought our boat and spent a lot of time out on the lake as there are several marinas and boat launches close by so that definitely helped divert attention away from the internet issue. To be clear, Mrs Margaret and team were the best we’ve dealt with and were incredibly responsive. The internet and electrical issues were resolved during our stay as quickly as they could have been. And the property was exceptional for our family.

Wonderful Thanksgiving in Edgemont

We had a small Thanksgiving family gathering in Edgemont and everyone had a wonderful time. The house sits on a hill and has great views of Greers Ferry Lake from anywhere in the house. Our guest contact Margaret was very helpful. She found us a professional photographer in a very short notice. We are planning to go back there next year.

My husband’s 65th Birthday!

What a wonderful stay! We met family from Dallas and Memphis to celebrate my husband‘s 65th birthday! The place was amazing!!! Our contact person was so wonderful and friendly and helpful. She even met us there before we checked into the house! The house was spotless, the kitchen was stocked full of everything that we needed, the outside and inside fireplaces were wonderful, and the layout of the house was terrific, with three floors and everyone having their own space. Thank you for making everything so easy for us to have a terrific family vacation!

Awesome Lake House

The perfect place! The location couldn’t be any better. It’s so close to all the enjoyment the Lake has to offer, yet just far enough in the woods to be peaceful and serene. My family had a wonderful stay. This cabin has it all! The kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils and kitchen gadgets needed to cook anything. Our family had a great time hanging out on the porch, playing games, and visiting. We loved our time there. Margret was a great host! She was very responsive and helpful. Regardless of what I needed and what time of day she responded and even called me to make sure I had everything I needed. We didn’t want to leave because everything was so beautiful. It was nice to sit on the balcony in the mornings and enjoy the Breeze! Everything was so beautiful!!Would definitely recommend staying here.

Incredible Lake Views

Our family of 7 adults and one toddler had a wonderful weekend inside and outside this lovely home. We spent most of our time on the porch, though quite a few round of cornhole were played on the lawn downstairs. We had plenty of room for everyone to sleep, eat, read, rest, work puzzles, and play games. The views of the lake are amazing all day long.
