Vonnie is the best! This place is beautiful and the most well equipped of any vacation rental property we have ever stayed at. Very comfortable and tastefully furnished. We would stay here again in a heartbeat (and we definitely will).

This is a really easy 5 star review. The host was wonderful. Great communicator. Property couldn't have worked out better for us. Kitchen well stocked and amazing. 1st class appliances. Bed extremely comfortable. If you like birds there were always about 20 species off the patio every morning. Healthy native plants surrounding the house. Oracle is out of the traffic but very convenient to Catalina and Oracle State Parks. Bio. Riot Grill is a favorite now.

This is a perfect little home to stay at. Quiet, clean & everything you need is here. Our hostess Vonnie was very accommodating. Check in-out was extremely easy & she even provided a pastry for our breakfast & left a basket of goodies. There were also a variation of coffees/teas & creamers. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Clear star gazing

A large house with warm in winter and cool in summer environments. Full kitchen with great treats and lots of coffee choices. Plus so close to Oracle State Park. Enjoyed staying there.

Great Little Place im a Cute Little Town

We stayed here 4 nights with our 2 dogs' The house was very clean and comfortable and so charmingly furnished and decorated. The is a wonderful place for a quiet get-away. Our host was very friedly and available. Would stay here again,

Great comfortable house!

We had a wonderful time at this house. Location was super convenient for us and our host was so welcoming and responsive. We loved the thoughtful extras like the baskets of breakfast options and choice of coffees. The place was immaculate and the beds very comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Beauty nestled in the desert

Peaceful Comfort

The Desert Gem was a very comfortable home for our family members during their recent visit. The home was clean & well furnished with newer appliances & furniture. Our check in/out process was easy & the host very accommodating. Our host even dropped off muffins as a welcome gift. The location in Oracle was very peaceful & made getting around in the area easy. We would highly recommend Desert Gem to anyone hoping to enjoy a quiet, comfortable visit in the mountains outside of Tucson.

Sweet and comfy close to hikes

We stayed for three nights and enjoyed it very much. Lots of local hikes. Oracle State Park is very close to the house. And the Oracle market and Café is delightful. The house is set up with everything you would need and lots of extras as well. It’s very quiet at night. Incredibly comfortable bed. The house is very well sorted and Adrienne was great to communicate with.

Incredible location and host

We really enjoyed our time in this home. The house and the host were extremely welcoming. Everything was squeaky clean. The beds were really really comfortable. The communication was flawless. We would not hesitate to return.

Comfortable Desert Home

Comfortable desert home near two state parks and lots of hiking and mountain biking trails. Perfect for anyone looking for a little outdoor adventure. The house is located in a peaceful neighborhood with a nice park just down the street. The well-appointed kitchen has everything you need to prepare your meals and the host even provides snacks and a breakfast treat for your first morning.

Amazing getaway

This was my first time in AZ and I couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay. With only being an hour away from Tucson its surprising but the night sky was breathtaking, the community was friendly and walking up the street to the little neighborhood park for a morning walk gave to some amazing sunrise views. The home itself was an amazing comfortable and clean spot to cook and relax in. The owner is extremely kind and generous, very communicative, and you can really tell she puts a lot of time and effort into making the house a home and makes sure your stay is the best it can be. Definitely hoping to be staying here again

Felt like home

From the moment we arrived, Vonnie’s place felt like home. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return next year. My husband Wally spent the days hunting coues deer while I worked from home. Our little dog Kasey Rae enjoyed the grounds and inside. The king bed was incredibly comfortable. The home was clean and well-supplied with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Vonnie even had coffee, breakfast muffins and treats to tide us over until we could get to a grocery store. Thank you! We will be back.

Lovely Home

We had a great 3 week stay at this property. Great communication with the host. This home exceeded our expectations. Coffee, muffins, oatmeal, granola bars all upon arrival and got us through until we did grocery shopping the next day. The home is fully stocked as we cooked a lot of our meals there. Highly recommend this home and would definitely stay here again. One highlight was the ATV rental from Titan located in the town of Oracle. This was an amazing all day rental that gets you out into the parts of the area you would never be able to do hiking. Oracle State Park is located just a few miles down the road. Nice place to hike and eat lunch.

Clean and homey stay in Oracle

This place is immaculately clean. Having kids, you always end up wiping up a little water from the floors from spills and splashes and almost every time a scary amount of dirt comes up with the paper towel. Not here - spotless house! In addition to being extremely clean, the home is well stocked and feels cozy. We were surprised that there is a travel trailer onsite (behind some fencing that sort of subdivides the lot) in full view of the patio/front of the home. While the occupant seemed very nice and it wasn't a major detractor in the end, it did give a different feel from what we expected based on the photos, which are taken from other angles. We also found that the drive to Tucson from Oracle was a little longer than we expected and we spent a lot of time driving. That's totally on us as you can obviously map the path and get accurate estimates, but we somehow failed to really factor it in. There is a fantastic cafe in town and we did love the slower pace in Oracle.

Great House | Fabulous Host!

The house is completely updated, has cheerful decor , and highly quality brand appliances, including the outdoor grill. The house feels extra spacious due to its generous 12 foot high walls. The house is well stocked, including extra bed linens. The master bed mattress I slept on was amazingly comfortable, and the sheet, blanket, bedcover combo was perfect for finding the right warmth/coolness throughout the night. And the kitchen! The coffee and coffee creamer selection is incredible. Vonnie provides both ground coffee and Keurig cup options—including decaf—and a dual Keurig coffee maker that provides both drip/carafe and K-cup brewing options. She also provides a large bowl generously stocked with a surprising variety of packaged snacks that can accommodate both the health conscious travelers and the ones with a bit of a sweet tooth. Vonnie also provides some breakfast goodies, with several options to suit guests’ tastes, to get them started off on their stay. The location obviously is not for the person who wants to do a lot of touristy things in a place with a vibrant night culture of fine dining and bars. For those who are interested in exploring the outdoors—or even working remotely in a quiet getaway—it is a great location. There is a dollar store in town that has a nice little supermarket within it that has a good variety of food selections. Vonnie is a superb host who is dedicated to ensuring that your stay is a good one. You are in good hands staying at Desert Gem!

Great little home

The home was clean, tidy, and very comfortable for myself and my associate. There were breakfast snacks and muffins left for us which was such a nice touch! Would highly recommend for anyone staying in Oracle.

Oracle house

I wonderful quiet house. The host was amazing. She was quick to respond and super helpful. She even let us extend our stay. The house was perfect for our needs. We were In the area visiting family and need a quiet retreat from the noise. Definitely will stay here again.
