Worst Experience Ever
Had a group coming in from out of town for a concert. Booked and confirmed a VRBO home within walking distance of venue. Arrived at check in only to find the property was occupied. Property owner said she notified VRBO weeks prior that the unit was not available. I believe the property owner was not at fault. She actually was able to finally find a hotel for us. Something VRBO refused to do. Contacted VRBO and was on the phone for over 2 hours with no satisfactory treatment. VRBO rep refused to book another VRBO or find hotel rooms. She kept sending me a link to a foreign travel agency that required a username and password which she refused to supply. Asked to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold for 1/2 hour only to be told no supervisor was available. VRBO rep said she would "accelerate" the case and a rebooking specialist would both call and email to rectify the situation. That never happened. Finally settled into a hotel 20 miles from the concert venue at 10:00PM. Horrible customer service from VRBO. Silver lining. I was going to use VRBO for a Caribbean trip next winter. Now I know better.
