Family Space

This home was perfect for a family stay. Only problem is the home is a little out dated and it had a smell of musty cigar smoke. Even though the smell was there upon arrival host still charged me for smoke smell. I see past reviews complaining of the smell so I fell like I was scammed in some sense

Updates needed

Lovely quaint house in quiet tree lined neighborhood. But..the house needs several important updates including railing going up stairs is falling off, the upstairs landing light fixture is hanging by bare wires, stair railing on deck steps is completely unattached, and front and back doorknobs function very poorly. It would be a great place to stay with a little loving maintenance. Safety on the indoor stairs and deck steps must be a priority.

It seemed a bit under kept. It would have been nice to have more kitchen utensils and pots/pans/bowls. Cookware was old and could be replaced with nicer (not scratched teflon) from the thrift store.

Great house near many attractions

We had a quick stay so didn’t spend too much time at the home but it was conveniently located to all the places we needed to be. Mark was very accommodating with our check-in time and allowing us to bring both our small pups. He communicated quickly and we really appreciate it. It was also nice to be able to park our car in the garage off the street.

Good for what we needed

The owner had good communication.The house itself was nice for what we needed. It was a little musty but to be expected with an older home. Would stay again.

Easy check in but smells pet friendly

Home was very old and smelled musty and pet friendly. I understand it’s pet friendly but needed to open windows and use air fresheners.

Cozy little house

The house was adorable and perfect for our stay. It was pretty clean and we felt safe. Huge plus having the garage in the northern winter!

Friendly neighborhood

This home is reasonably priced, and in a nice neighborhood. It has real vintage charm, along with some issues of and older home. The host was very responsive to any of our questions.

Enjoying life

We very much liked this cozy home. Two of us are over 70. So the garage door opener gave us a little trouble.. We walked the neighborhood and felt quite safe. Convenient to a wonderful market, downtown and some restaurants. More silver ware and towels needed for four people

Weekend getaway

Drove in for the weekend and enjoyed the sites and sounds that Milwaukee and Green Bay had to offer. The check in and stay were great and I received all the necessary information prior to the trip. Hopefully this listing is available when we travel North again later this year.

Safe and comfortable, close to stadium

Stayed here with 2 friends to see a concert at American Family field. Aporeciated the location, garage spaces for gursts, home was clean and had everything we needed. Host communicated well and a went snoothly.

Affordable place to stay...... close to much!

Very affordable 3 bedroom in the 'Tosa area. Can't get a hotel room for the price! As one other reviewer, noted if you are looking for a modern place, look elsewhere. We knew that this was an older house going in and yes, some updates need to be done, but the basics were furnished and the sheets were clean and the beds were comfortable. Was nice to have a garage that we could park in.

Milwaukee stay

the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked. those are the positives. Here are some things that should be improved: the kitchen was not well equipped. You could not cook a proper meal there. There were only 3 forks and only a couple of utensils. very few pots and pans. only a couple coffee mugs. the back yard and deck are in terrible shape. the man door on the garage had no doorknob, so it was not secure. we didn't spend a lot of time in the house, only to sleep and have breakfast.

Met our needs and good for pets

Great pet home, but needs TLC. Front door needs attention as well as garage doors. Garage door opener didn’t work as well as upstairs landing light fixture. Bedroom fan? Good communication from host.

Cozy house close to Milwaukee sights

House was clean & comfortable for our family of 4. Young adult children appreciated having their own sleeping spaces instead of sharing a hotel bed. 15 minutes or less from Miller Park and downtown, easy to get to our destinations. We’d stay here again on our next trip.

It worked

This house is pretty old and worn, but being pet friendly some of that is expected. It worked for what we needed for the weekend. PROS: GREAT communication with owner Nice neighborhood, felt safe, Though old things worked as far as appliances etc. Close to a decent little grocery store CONS Parking is really not good. Garage door opener didn't work and the door into it had no handle so can't be locked. Parked on the street, sometimes half a block away from the house Front door is super hard to lock/unlock and the door is so warped it never really closes well. It would do the owner well to replace the front door and install a keypad rather than an old style realtor box Mow the yard before renters arrive. Pet friendly is awesome and appreciated, but it is hard to clean up after a dog if the grass is so high you can't find the poop. We would rent from Mike again as the price reflects the condition and issues but would happily pay a bit more for a couple upgrades
