The location of the apartment was perfect for us, very close to everything that we needed. If you are a light sleeper, the street noise could be a little loud but honestly that was to be expected. The host went above and beyond to help us, getting us a different coffee maker, letting us borrow a drill and a few other of our odd requests! The beds were comfortable, you did have to turn the hot water beforehand but that was never an issue. The views and sunsets were gorgeous. We were very happy! Thank you for everything again!

Great spot in Heraklion

The apartment was clean, convenient and close to shopping and dining. Alex was a great host. We had a great time visiting the local sites. As with most cities, parking can be a challenge. Expect to park and walk a bit to the apartment.

A beautiful view in the city!

The apartment was big, very nice, clean, and well equipped and included an elevator. The view is as pictured but it is in a busy part of the city. The change of pace worked well for us and access to so many wonderful restaurants and tavernas was excellent. food in the area was aesthetici

Great property near the marina.

Great location at the edge of the old city. We booked this property for the last 2 nights of a 2 week vacation in Crete. We had an early morning flight (5 am) out on our last night and the property was convenient to the airport and convenient to great restaurants in the old city.

A true Gem

I knew next to nothing about Crete and booked this place based on the post. I can’t stress enough how impressed I was not only with the place itself, but with the communication. Alexandros is amazing! One member of our group was having a birthday during our stay so I asked him if he could recommend a place to eat. Not only did he do that but he also arranged for us to have a cake there. Thank god for his recommendation. He booked us in a place we never would have found on our own, and at the end of our week traveling around the country we agreed that the dinner at Apiri in Heraklion was hands down the best of the whole trip. I highly recommend this place. We got in early, and Alexandros came down to meet us and store our bags until the room was ready. If you’re planning a trip to Crete which I highly recommend. Definitely stay here.

Lovely Stay

We loved our stay! The property is in a historic building, yet the apartment is fully modernized. The location is perfect - so close to many attractions and a short walk to the ferry port. In addition, our hosts were very responsive and made us feel very welcome. We highly recommended this property for future renters!

Premium location and upscale feel

This property was one of the better Vrbo/private rental experiences we’ve had! It is in an excellent location - right in between the buzzing old town and harbor/sea wall. It has what must be one of the best views of any private rental in Old Town Heraklion. Alex, the host, was very pleasant and met us in person to walk through the check in when we arrived. He was very responsive in correspondence and, while we never needed anything from him, seeing how reachable he was put us at ease. Overall, just a great way to significantly elevate any stay you make in Heraklion!

Wonderful modern apartment in great location.

Great communication

We were unable to make the trip due to a medical emergency. However, the property manager was extremely helpful and communicated with us extensively about things to do and places to go. We’ll stay here when we are finally able to make the trip!

Great spot right on the water- in the middle of it all!

We were very pleased with our stay in Heraklion. Alexandros met us on our arrival and gave us a tour and told us many of his recommendations for the area. The apartment is quite nice and the AC works great (key for Summer). Around the apartment are many shops and places to eat- so that will never be a problem. We were very happy with our stay and definitely recommend a stay with Alexandros at his travel-central apartment!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in dem Apartment sehr genossen. Alex war ein sehr aufmerksamer und zuvorkommender Gastgeber, dem unser Wohlbefinden sehr am Herzen lag. Getting around the city and its sites requires no means of transport as all the major attractions are within walking distance from the apartment.
All major transport means are within walking distance from the apartment (busses, taxis).
Distance from the airport to the apartment is about 5 minutes with car and so is the port. Guests can find 3 parking facilities located within 1 minute walk from the apartment and can rent a space for their car (which I can help you organize) with an easy access to the major exits for the highway.
All major resorts and beaches are about 20 minutes from the location of the apartment. Also the famous archeological "Knossos Palace" is about 15 minutes away.

For guests the book with me I have several suggestions regarding restaurants and drinking with a special discount set for them.
