Topsail Dunes

This is our third time staying at the Topsail Dunes complex. The location is perfect, just steps from the beach and a community pool. The condo had all the amenities we needed and the second bedroom worked well for our three kids. We will definitely be back.

Great week!

This was the third unit we’ve stayed in at Topsail Dunes and it has been our favorite. The master bathroom is extremely tight - very little room between the shower and the sink and not much more room between the toilet and sink. We had to clean the master shower before we could use it, but the rest of the unit was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the unit is in a great location - close to both the steps from the parking lot and the steps to the beach. Excellent communication with the owners and we did not have any issues during our stay.

My wife and I came here to celebrate our Anniversary and it was the best!! Beautiful location, if we weren’t out in the beach we were spending our time on the balcony looking and listening to the beautiful ocean! Would totally recommend!

Exactly as advertised! The location was fantastic with super easy beach access. It met all our expectations! We stayed with our 8-week-old baby and the place was impeccably maintained. I highly recommend it, especially due to how close you are to the ocean. We will definitely be coming back!

Summer get away

This property was located right on the beach , you could sit on the balcony and enjoy the ocean view and sound of the waves . Very clean and comfortably slept 6. The beach is just a few steps away . And the property manager was easily accessible and answered all questions promptly. Would definitely stay here again!

Just Perfect

We absolutely loved here. We were mere steps from the beach which just perfect. The complex was very well maintained as well. The kids loved the pool after a long day on the beach. There was area right by the condo where we could clean off sand. And that view from the balcony was just perfect.

Wonderful week- beautiful beach!! Area is very nice with a lot of great restaurants. The condo was clean and updated- the master bath is very small, and hard to maneuver in. Other than that issue, all was great

Beginning of summer celebration

This was the closest we’ve ever stayed to the shore…this condo is truly ON the beach. Building 1 has the best views. Would not want to overlook the pool as some of the other buildings do. The condo is comfortable and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Owners are very nice to deal with.

Very comfortable with a Million Dollar view

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this property. It was very comfortable and fully furnished. It’s is right on the ocean where you can see hear and smell everything. I really enjoyed waking up with a cup of coffee sitting out on the balcony. The location is ideal for someone that wants to get away and stay on the beach. It’s is further from shopping and dining than some might prefer. The only real negative for me was there are significant fees added onto the nightly rate including a cleaning fee. That is understandable however the checkout procedure requires you to strip beds, remove all trash and load the dishwasher. That feels to me like it should be included in the cleaning fee.

Wonderful Beach Getaway

A friend and I decided to do a last minute beach get away and Tony and Amy’s condo turned out to be a wonderful choice for that get away. The check in process went smoothly and Tony and Amy were very prompt in answering any of our questions. The condo was very nicely furnished and the beds were quite comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked although we never managed to do any cooking instead opting to try local restaurants. We lucked out with warm weather for February and spent a lot of time on the covered back deck. The view of the ocean from there was absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed listening to the waves, watching for dolphins, and did numerous walks on the beach looking for shells. I particularly liked that along the beach there are a fair number of homes and the area is not as heavily developed as other beaches can be. I look forward to a return trip. Thanks Tony and Amy.

We will not stay here again

There are some positives about this property. It is steps away from the beach and a good location on the island. However, prepare to be deceived. It was not clean when we checked in; crumbs on the tables, sand on the floor, a dead cockroach in a corner, filthy baseboards, dust bunnies in corners and along walls of the bedrooms, and an ant problem in the kitchen. It was disgusting and especially surprising in these covid times. We dealt with it by cleaning ourselves and buying some ant bait. But nasty. Also, the pictures make it look like you've got nice privacy. You don't. The main access point to the beach for this building is right next to your deck, so you're always on display. Also, be aware that the listing is actually through evolve so you get to pay both vrbo and evolve fees. If you really want to stay here (and I recommend you look elsewhere), book through evolve instead to save some money. We had a nice visit by were disappointed with the accommodations. For this, we cannot recommend this property and certainly won't stay at it again.

Hi Mark, it’s disappointing to hear that this house was not the house for you. Our partner sites, including Vrbo, do charge booking platform fees, but we're sorry that caught you off guard. The owners have some feedback about your stay: - we’re glad that you enjoyed the proximity of our house to the beach, as many before you have also loved that. For that reason, they have found that the advantage of proximity outweighs the boardwalk entrance also being close. - The housekeeper was unable to get the previous guests to vacate in time to clean as long as necessary, and we’re so sorry that they didn’t complete their job. I have addressed this and made sure they understand that it should be continued until it is thoroughly cleaned. If you had let us know, we would have sent them back right away to finish and made your stay much more enjoyable. We would love for you to visit us again, since our cleaning crew is always excellent under normal conditions, and we think you would be impressed.

HUGE COCKROACHES!

COCKROACHES! Crawling on the furniture and many on the balcony! I typically don’t write bad reviews but people need warning about this condo. I had friends fly in from out of state and the story of our weekend was huge cockroaches instead of a great vacation! I contacted the owner immediately, the following day he sent an exterminator who left a note saying he “didn’t see any bugs”. The owner then ‘Door Dashed’ us a can of Raid. The next day the housekeeper just showed up, wanting to verify we had bugs. She saw them, didn’t clean it, said she would let the owners know. The condo was not clean, sheets were dirty, the trash can had dried food/liquids down the front of it, glasses were dirty with one having lipstick on it. The beach equipment is mainly unusable. They are missing pieces of the chairs and rusted out. The view is beautiful but we weren’t able to sit out there after dark due to the cockroaches. They’re all over the balcony. The beach equipment is kept on the balcony and had cockroaches on the chairs. We slept with the lights on in the condo at night to try and keep them out. This was our experience, choose another condo.

Nice the closeness’s to the ocean

Location to the beach, great kitchen and living room area. Master bed room a bit cramped. Very nice shower, Master bathroom. Way to cramped . No place for hanging clothes. Overall the condo was very good. You need the check the toilet tank in master. “Flapper valve need replacing “

Listen to the waves

This is such a lovely location. The ocean is right beyond the balcony, so you can hear the waves crashing and watch birds, boats, and the amazing sky from the living room. Each morning we ate our breakfast sitting on the balcony, feeling so lucky to be there enjoying the awesome view! The kitchen is well stocked with any pots, pans, and utensils you might need, the beds are comfortable, and the hosts have been super responsive the two times we needed help. We've been here twice now and plan to return.

2022 October getaway

The Salty Wave was everything and more. Great view from the balcony watching the sunrise. Loved taking long walks on the beach day and night. Thank you so much for this much needed time away from home. So relaxing. I hope to make it back next year!
