The Space:

Welcome to By the Sea on Sackville, a stunning ground-level apartment located in the vibrant Fitzroy area of New Plymouth. Just a short walk from the beautiful Fitzroy Beach, Scenic Coastal Walkway, Fitzroy Golf Course, and Fitzroy Shops, this property offers the perfect base for your coastal adventures. Enjoy swimming, surfing, windsurfing, or a leisurely round of golf. Relaxing

Lovely place to stay, very cosy and relaxing. Was great to come back to after a long day of hikes and fun. Would definitely come back again!

a great getaway

excellent location, great to be able to walk to the beach. Lovely crisp sheets on the bed. Bed and seating very comfortable. We had everything in the bach except hairdryer, good to know before hand so i could bring my own. The owners that lived above were friendly on the few occasions we saw them.

Exactly what we wanted, clean, spacious and the most comfortable bed. Good heating - we were there in winter. Lovely private courtyard with the sun streaming in. Great sized bathroom with a large shower area. Comparably well priced. When next in New Plymouth we'll stay again.

Sackville by the sea is a lovely place to stay. It's small, but well laid out and very comfortable. We loved the comfortable bed and great shower.The location is handy, very close to the beach and the coastal walkway. The house is on a back section, at the end of a very long driveway and there is no place to turn. We opted to leave the car on the road for most of the time. It wasn't a problem for us, but could be for less mobile guests.The only thing that did bug us a little was how noisy the property is. Not from the street, but the rest of the house. We could hear the neighbours talking, their tv, footsteps, washing machine, cat meowing etc. Apart from that we absolutely loved our stay and would happily return!

A nice new apartment, however some issues need resolving!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a nice apartment in a good location and comfortable to stay in. Also reasonably priced. However, there are some real inconveniences that need to be sorted.Firstly, there’s a hair dryer in the bathroom, but no PowerPoints! Ok, I could dry my hair in the bedroom, but there’s no mirror. So I dried my hair in the kitchen using the reflection of the TV!Secondly, the driveway to the apartment is close to 200 metres long and you have to back out. No turning circle anywhere! The apartment is also quite stuffy on a warm day.

We enjoyed our stay. It is a couples accommodation only. The sofa bed was extremely hard and unsatisfactory for a sleeping arrangement for a third person. However the bed and bedroom were very comfortable
