My brothers and my sister and I had a sibling reunion to catch up with each other in a beautiful setting. No wifi, no TV, no problem. It was just what we were hoping for. It was a very hot, humid weekend but the air conditioners in every room kept the house very comfortable. A wonderful weekend get together.

Quiet retreat

Our group had a wonderful time at the Mountain House! The kids had fun exploring the grounds and playing on the tire swing. We saw wildlife (bunnies, woodchucks, frogs). The property also afforded us a beautiful show from the fireflies. It was quiet and private but close to everything we needed (Lake Tobias and Chocolate World)!Only downside was the grill. We opened it up to make hamburgers and found that everything under the grates was completely rusted out. Bummer! Otherwise, would recommend this house!

Amazing property

Gorgeous property, old farmhouse beautifully remodeled. No tv’s but we all had so much fun exploring the woods and fields and playing their games, no one missed it! Owner called to give us the code to get in. The master bedroom has a toilet and tub but no sink- there is a full bath in the hall. There is a second full bath on the main floor. No bath on the 3rd floor. Hiking paths, huge yard. Pet friendly. Stocked kitchen with the tools you need. Lots of clean towels and washcloths. Tire swing! Would come back here again.

Wonderful spot for a family gathering

We rented the mountain house to celebrate my parents' 40th wedding anniversary, gathering siblings that live around PA. We had such a relaxing, peaceful time. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and serene. The house is clean, comfortable, and lovely. The rail trail immediately accessible was awesome for running and bike riding. Highly recommend!

3 families. All had a great time. We enjoyed the house and all it offered. I was well stocked with kitchenware, kid games, atmosphere, and Coffee! The location was peaceful and the deck view beautiful. It was a perfect location for day trips to local points of interest with enough time to travel back to the cabin and make a great family dinner.

It was nice and quiet. We will be staying there again on our next trip. The best thing was there was no TV so the whole family got to sit around and talk. There were toys for the grandkids to play with, so they were happy.

Great Weekend

The house was lovely, the views were beautiful, and our hosts were so accommodating. It was a wonderful weekend. I was curious as to whether we’d have cell service - especially since the place doesn’t have WiFi - but service was great and we had no problem communicating.

Idyllic county retreat

Beautiful space

I loved this property it was decorated so nicely and the location was quiet. The beds were comfy too. My complaints would be please spray for bugs inside and outside of that house with it being in the woods i understand their will be bugs but there were dead bugs in the sheets upstairs and spiders in all corners of the home and cabinets.. also the bathtub upstairs works but the water that was dispensed from the faucet left a brown ring around the tub… Other then those things we enjoyed our time!

Amazing!

We absolutely loved the house, in the back very quiet and beautiful view! My husband and I spent our 10th wedding anniversary there and the owners set the house up for us with roses on the bed, Mrs and Mrs coffee cups and a bottle of sparkling lemonade. It was perfect!

peace and quiet

The renovations make great accommodations. We enjoyed the various seating areas for relaxing, both inside and outside. The view into nature from the deck and the picturesque gazebo added to the relaxation and the fully-stocked kitchen made cooking easy and fun. We loved checking out downtown Millersburg, the arts and crafts shop and the ferry boat. It was a great get-away.

Tranquil getaway

The house is secluded and has a nice view of the mountains from the back. It also has a river running along the trail behind the property. The mountainside yard was perfect for sledding with the kids. Inside the house there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out or relax together. We especially loved gathering at the large dining table and warming up by the gas fireplace. In warmer seasons the huge back deck would be a great place to hang out, grill, and enjoy the sound of the river in the background. Our family had a great time at this house and agreed that we will definitely come back in the future.

Perfection!!!

Personally I’m from the area was staying locally so I could see family. This place was extremely well prepped for us! Tons of coffee options, seasonings to cook with, crockpot, pans, utensils absolutely everything!!! It made our life so easy. Can’t wait to come back!

Great stay
