Lakefront Getaway at the Cozy Stone House

Welcome to the Stone House located on Oneida Lake, famously known for its walleye and perch fishing, boating and stunning views. As you arrive on the gorgeous grounds, you are immediately struck by the beauty of the cobble stones used to construct the house over 130 years ago.

***The home has been transformed into 2 beautifully appointed apartments. Half of upstairs is occupied by a full time renter with their own private entrance and separate staircase. The rest of the home is available for weekly rental getaways. No spaces inside the home are shared. ***

The main apartment is accessible from the spacious deck perfect for morning coffee and evening BBQs, overlooking the lake. From there you enter the large fully equipped kitchen. From the kitchen you enter the dining room with a table for family dinners and game nights. It then opens into the living room with a wrap around sectional couch, plus an additional pullout sleeper sofa. Here, there is a Roku TV, a pellet stove for those extra chilly nights and a nice comfy area rug over original hardwood floors. You will then discover the “Fish Room" with bunkbeds for kids or 'kids at heart'. This is where one of a kind fish mounts from family catches are displayed, one being a 21" walleye that was caught right from shore! Attached to this room is a full bathroom with shower. Up the steps (Note: the steps are very steep as it's an old house) you'll find the master bedroom with amazing views of the lake. The bedroom includes a queen bed and a full size futon. Also upstairs is a half bath with washer and dryer. There's a large closet with extra linens (guests are encouraged to bring additional pillows, blankets and towels).

There is 20-foot water frontage where you can fish and swim (water shoes recommended as it is a rocky shoreline). We offer a small dock to enjoy sunsets and fish from. It's not recommended for overnight or unattended boat dockage.

The large lawn can be used for outdoor games. The perfect end to a day on the lake is being surrounded around the fire pit roasting s'mores with friends and family all while enjoying the beautiful views! During winter months, it's very easy to access the lake when it freezes for ice fishing and snowmobiling. Thank you for taking the time out to visit our page. Beautiful lake

This rental was very nice and on a beautiful lake. It was very clean and nicely decorated. Our stay was very relaxing and we would definitely recommend this property. The owner was very nice and helpful too.

Great home, host and location.

We stayed at the Stone House for a wedding at the Vanderkamp property. The location was perfect, lake views amazing and the home clean and inviting. Jeremy was a great host. Thanks for a fun filled weekend!

Great stay

We had a lovely visit to the Stone House as part of a wedding weekend at Vanderkamp! The house was just right for us, and the location was perfect. We loved the view and the large family room! The stairs are a bit steep, but that was not an issue for us. Great communication with the owner!

Perfect location!

We thought it was perfectly and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, even bug spray! And the magical way the fireplace was refilled when we used it and The full moon over the water was perfect.

Lake vacation

Quiet location right on the lake. We enjoyed sitting on the dock and watching fireworks. Not too far from Syracuse. Bedroom layout was a little tight for five adult size humans.

Fabulous little lake house

We were going to our son's graduation ceremonies at Syracuse University. We wanted a quiet location to go back to after our events each day/evening. This location was perfect and gave us the quiet we wanted each evening. Loved the lake views and the cozy living room!

Perfection

We had such a lovely stay. The property is exactly as listed. We enjoyed spending time on the porch outside and watching the sky over the lake. Plenty of room to cook and eat dinner inside. It was just the perfect place to spend a few fall days in Nee York.

The Stone House

This house was an incredible backdrop for so many beautiful memories,fun new connections and an introduction of New York. Jeremy was incredibly helpful and the little details were so perfect including the rowboat, games and beautiful home!

Love the Stone House

We had such a nice time at the stone house. Jeremy was great at responding to every question. The house was just beautiful and had everything we needed with some extra touches we loved. We swam in the lake and had coffee on the patio. Wish I was there longer and will definitely be my first choice to go back to.

Family getaway

My family a wonderful time at the Stone House. We loved the decor and appreciated all of the amenities available to us, especially the deck where we enjoyed our coffee early in the morning and did some great stargazing at night. The serenity of the lake and surrounding area allowed us all to recharge and enjoy each other's company. Jeremy was an attentive and communicative host and Daryl was so helpful during our stay and kept the property immaculate. Thank you Jeremy, Andy and Daryl for a lovely visit

Fantastic Holiday Home for Entire Family

We had a lovely time at the Stone House in Cleveland, NY. The proximity to the lake was a big hit with the whole family and we spent a lazy week swimming, fishing, s'moring (sp?), and cycling around Oneida Lake. We would highly recommend the Oswego County Recreation Trail for hiking, cycling and jogging and you can enter the trail just 500 meters from the Stone House. We had a lovely visit and hope to back again before too long. Thank you!

The Spectacular Stone House!

My husband and I can not say enough about our stay at the Stone House, in Cleveland New York! Simply loved everything about our three week stay! Hosts Andy and Jeremy were exceptional… always attentive and available, in a kind and caring manner. The beautiful lake and wildlife are inspiring. We will miss having our morning coffee on the deck, enjoying our afternoons down by the lake and spending our evenings by the fire pit! Comfy, Cozy, Casual and simply the best! 👍❤️😊

Charming and immaculate house

This 130-year-old stone house is full of charm. Fairly large kitchen with anything you would need, and really large living room. We were there for just three nights but went to some burger restaurants and the pancake house (Sylvan Beach). Jeremy was very responsive to any questions we had. Obvious that a lot of care was put into renovations to this home. Thank you, Jeremy!

Perfect getaway

We recently stayed at the Stone House for one week with our toddler son. There was plenty of room for the 3 of us to enjoy and relax on the deck for our meals and indoors when the heat was at its prime. The space was cozy, clean and pretty kid friendly. It’s a quiet location with beaches within a 20 minute drive, Trails for hiking and biking within a 30-40 min drive. We took the row boat out a couple of times and it was a nice treat! The owner was super responsive when we had questions and the caretaker was also friendly and available if we needed anything. Overall a great stay and we can see ourselves returning in the future!

Oneida Lake Stonehouse

A charming lake house rental that is clean and well maintained. The host, Jeremy, is responsive and easy to work with. The property has a beautiful view of the lake and access to the water with a dock. Since we could not travel to Quebec this summer, Oneida Lake was a natural alternative for its walleye fishery which we still have much to learn before we master it. The stone lake house is just northwest of the famed Silvan Beach hangout for the Central New York elite of the 50’s and. 60’s, where you can still have a fun afternoon walking the public beach and enjoying the many local restaurants.

Bachelorette party

Spent a weekend at the Stone house for a bachelorette party. This house is amazing. Not only has it's own character, but all the personal touches that the owner's have added makes it perfect. Most places you rent supplies only the very basic things, but this house has it all. From salt and pepper to foil (that we forgot) was there. In return, we left some things behind for future renters.
