Beautiful scenery, peaceful, great cabin. The river is closer to the cabin than what it looks like in the pictures. You can fall asleep listening to the river. So relaxing. Has a great firepit. Lovely.

Charming Mountain Escape

This property was better than we expected! Such attention to detail and the home is all you would hope a log cabin to be. We were celebrating two anniversaries and spent 6 nights and 7 days playing cards, exploring the outdoors and amazing river access, hiking at nearby Copper falls, eating at Good Grief restaurant, fishing, hanging out on the back deck, cooking family meals, laughing, visiting, and it was all perfect! We hope to come back next year. Our grandsons had a blast! Thank you for sharing your beautiful, inviting, and cozy home!

Cozy cabin in private location

If you are looking for a get away with full privacy this is the place. The cabin is wonderful, warm and cozy..looking out on the creek next to it. You have everything to your means, only bring your clothes and food and drinks as the city is a bit of a drive away..there is a local small store but it was closed as we were staying during the holidays. Perfect place to spend some quality time with your loved ones surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Beautiful river views

Wonderful home with amazing view of river. Just a few steps out the door and you are at the river. House was cozy and clean. Hope we can come back next year!

The Cabin at Rivendell can only be described as the happiest of dreams but in real life. It was rustic and elegant intertwined. You felt you could truly leave it ALL behind so as to breath easily once again and feel all your senses, seeing the stars, hearing the river, warming by the outdoor fire pit amongst the tall looming evergreens. Will be going back.

Beautiful property

We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and the view of the river. The bed downstairs was uncomfortable so we ended up upstairs.

Lovely getaway

This cabin was bigger than I imagined! It was a nice cabin to have while we were visiting family. The only downside was the beds, I would recommend investing in some nice mattresses, other than that we enjoyed our stay here

Moyie River cabin

The cabin is very nice but the pictures on the VRBO site make it seem bigger, the internet was very poor (but that's Hughes net) the bbq on the back porch would not get above 250 degrees. The oven in the house was not the best but we made due. All the cupboards were full of things so we had to leave our food and clothes in boxes and the outside lighting on the porches were not good at all Also Evolve is not good to work with, I personally will not book another house with Evolve

What an amazing time we had at The Cabin at Rivendell ! The log cabin is a marvelous structure. It was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The backyard sits alongside the Moyie River which is beautiful. Such a tranquil place to be ! Ginger is the owner of the cabin and was a pleasure to deal with. From start to finish this was a most enjoyable experience. Thank you Ginger !

Family Time

The location of this property is splendid for the nature lover. The river is right out the back door, you are surrounded by woods and barely see a neighbor. We took a right out the driveway for morning walks. The road is quiet and scenic. After a walk, it was coffee on the back deck overlooking the river. There is a restaurant about 3.5 miles away - a fun lodge feel. We went to the restaurant one night and cooked the others. The kitchen is well stocked. We booked this property to be close to our parents who were celebrating a birthday. We wanted the family to have some time together in one spot. There were eight of us who stayed overnight, and our parents came by for an evening birthday dinner. The home sleeps 14 but for us, 8 was a tad cramped. 10 was a tight fit for everyone to sit in the living room. Perhaps if there were more kids, vs adults, it might have felt more comfortable. We were also there during winter so unable to spread to the outside. There was only one bathroom, which was challenging for coordinating getting ready and other use, but we made do. Ginger, our host, was terrific! Thank you to her for her attentiveness and kindness. Overall, the home is well stocked, cozy, comfortable and quaint. You can't beat the sound of the river and for a bonus, there was a visible eagle's nest out back. We hope to return, only next time with less adults.

Awesome cabin right on the river. Great sleeping arrangement for large family gathering. The only downside is that there is just one bathroom.

Great location and amenities

We loved being right on the river and hanging out at the cabin. The cabin worked great for our large family. The provided outside seating was ideal for us to relax outdoors together. Could definitely use a second bathroom for a big group but it was not a major drawback for us. We would come back and stay again!

Better than anticipated

We were in desperate need of a getaway after missing most of camping season this year for a variety of reasons. We booked a long weekend at the Cabin at Rivendell for its relative seclusion/quiet. We were so impressed with the layout of the home (it's huge!) and all the right amenities for a weekend away for two families with children age 5mo - 8years. This kids loved exploring the shallow river, watching trains go by, eating outside for all our meals, and the built in bunkbed was a huge hit. There were a couple of issues getting into the property (that were 100% my fault) and Ginger was super responsive and very helpful. It is obvious that the place has been well cared for as a loved family space.
