The Peacock on Kent - Vintage beachside comfort

Stay in a charming, newly renovated 1920s apartment. Decorated in keeping with the period but with modern amenities, you'll enjoy high ceilings, large rooms and an attached garage. 2 bedrooms, one with a king bed and walk in robe and one with a queen bed. A large bathroom offers a shower, large vanity and washer and dryer. A generous eat in kitchen is fully equipped and the large living room includes ample seating as well as a desk for working from home, if needed. You can see the ocean from the porch of this ground floor property, and the beach is only 50 metres away. Close to Jetty Rd with every service and entertainment you could need, as well as the tram to the city.

An excellent ground floor flat so close to the beach and all the shops. The flat was spacious, very comfortable and perfect for our week stay. Communication was excellent. Will definitely stay again in the future.

The apartment is perfectly set up for four. We had everything we needed and were only a short distance from shops for extras. Very close to the beach and to the tourist attractions of Glenelg. Great decor too.

Perfect position, however shame about the algae bloom in the ocean at the time of our stay but loved watching the sunset - beautiful, I suggest you take a glass wine with you or 2 I won’t estate to stay again.

Everything was good except for the microwave.Too heavy to move to kitchen bench to use. Or am I missing something! Loved the old house. Nice & clean, except the cleaning lady forgot to dust. Perfect location. Thank you.

Ideal Position

My second stay at Peacock on Kent was just as good as the first. It's in an ideal position, close to the beach, Jetty Road and great public transport.I will certainly book again.

The peacock on kent is a beautiful property. You can see the sea and beach and its a 5 min walk to shops, tram and buses. A 15 min tram ride into centre of Auckland.Everything you need for a home from home stay is provided and the area feels quiet and safe.

I did not see the owner. The toilet seat was very disgusting(we have to clean it), the dressing table in the king room was very dusty, and linen looks like it has not been replaced as it was not ironed.

Weekend Getaway

Though only 30mins from home, it really felt like being on a weekend away! So close to the beach and Jetty Road. Lovely place to stay and very enjoyable accommodation.

A great place to stay.

Clean and lovely house, short walk to beach and to Tram and eating and drinking places. lovely period furniture, it felt like we were living in the past with all modern conveniences.

This is a great location and ideal accommodation for 2 couples. Great sized rooms and comfortable furnishings. So close to the beach and main shopping area but far enough away to be quiet.
