Quite & Clean Getaway

This property was very clean and had everything needed for our stay. My wife and I were looking for a quick getaway and this was the perfect place. It was close enough to town, but far enough away that you could enjoy the peace and quite of the outdoors. Very close to biking and hiking paths.

Wonderful, spacious and cozy!

We loved our stay here. So many cozy touches and TONS of space…. Basement, 2 floors and a loft area. It was very clean which I really appreciated because I’ve stayed at places similar to this that can be cob webby/dusty. I would definitely go back!!

Perfect place to disconnect

We found the home to be the perfect space to disconnect and recharge, it was close enough to downtown North Conway but far enough away where you could appreciate the surrounding woods. The four floors gave you ample space to stretch out and the updated kitchen was perfect for cooking and socializing. We are already looking forward to our next stay here!

Perfect 4 Level North Conway vacation spot

Very clean and quaint townhouse. Melinda is a fantastic host! Great communication and very flexible. We stayed here for the entire month of January and we had a great time. Couldn't have asked for more... Thanks Melinda!!

What a great place

Where to begin. Directions to home were spot on. As soon as we walked in we felt right at home. It was very clean. Plenty of room. Lots of amenities. Bed was comfortable. Only about 5 miles into town. We contacted the property manager to get a later checkout because of a big snowstorm. We were able to stay a little longer which made our ride home easier. Thank you for that! We would definitely recommend this townhouse and we will stay here again!

Our stay at the Birch

Upon arrival the driveway, walkway and entire outdoors including deck to the backyard were covered in caterpillars. You couldn’t walk without stepping on one which is completely disgusting. When entering the house I noticed every room had cobwebs the floors and counters were dirty. So after noticing that we took it upon ourselves to wipe everything down because even though they said they had a housecleaner I didn’t believe it. The dryer didn’t work correctly I had to drive my clothes twice on a high heat setting. Also noticed after washing the clothes they had a weird smell like they weren’t even cleaned. The bedrooms were a great size and fit my family correctly for what we needed it for so that was good. The table downstairs was extremely wobbly and was ready to fall apart as my family sat down to try to eat on the table. So that was pretty funny. Lastly the deck sliding door had a hole in the screen and caterpillars were on the stripping to where the door slides so if we wanted to leave it open for air you couldn’t because more caterpillars would come in. We paid good money to rent this house out and it didn’t have things in top notch to use so we cannot give 5 stars. Like if we wanted to use the grill to cook we couldn’t use anything out there. That was something we wanted to do so had to adjust.

Hi Karen, we are sorry you did not have a good experience. Since we live in a wooded environment, bordering the White Mountain National Forest, there are bugs around the property. Unfortunately, this year, there were a lot of gypsy moths and caterpillars. We reached out to professionals to get their advice, and because these critters only come for 2 weeks during the year (and generally once every 2-5 years) there was not much to be done, especially since we live right next to the National Forest and these critters were unavoidable this year. Upon reading your review, we reached out to our association and to Bartlett Tree service to see if anything could be done, and we received a similar response. We do have an amazing cleaning crew who we’ve had a good experience so far, so I’m not sure why the floors and counters were dirty, but I will relay the message so they know and receive the feedback as well.

Peaceful Getaway

Great place to stay in North Conway, tucked away in the woods but also only a short distance from the center of town, Fryeburg Fair, and Cathedral Ledge; all of which we enjoyed during our stay. The house was clean and cozy. Communication with the property owner was quick, easy, and kind. Would definitely come back and stay again!

Phenomenal Getaway in the White Mountains

Ideally situated near North Conway in a forested area, the house provided all the amenities needed for a wonderful getaway. The house has four floors, a well-equipped kitchen (including dishwasher), and gorgeous deck with charcoal for outdoor enjoyment. The house is part of a duplex, but we did not hear any noise from the neighbor, and the entire property feels incredibly private. Given the quiet area, this is not a place for parties, but rather for relaxing getaway with 1-2 families or a small group of friends. We hope to return soon!

No regrets

Wonderful staying here. Close to so many hikes and activities but yet so secluded. We were looking for a quiet peaceful place to relax at night after the daily excursions and this place was perfect. Great stay in the White Mountains!

We had a great stay in Melinda and Ben's townhouse. While it rained for the majority of our trip, we were cozy in the house and had lots of fun cooking together and enjoying each other's company. The location is great and we enjoyed exploring North Conway and nearby Diana's Baths, Cathedral Ledge, and Echo Lake. There was plenty of room in the townhouse for all of us, and Melinda was very communicative and helpful. We'd love to come back again! (Hopefully with more sun ;))
