Ideal long weekend getaway

The house was spotless and had everything we needed for a few days of R&R in the gorgeous Grampians. Have stayed at The Gap Escape a couple of times now and has not disappointed.

All that you need!

A great location with an east walk to shops and cafes. The house is relaxed and very well equipped. Communication with the manager was excellent!

Was a great house although took a moment to work out the heating and when it rained, the water poured off the roof in the middle of the stairs making it impossible to pass either side and put bags in the car dry

Great family holiday

We had a wonderful family holiday with 2 adults and 2 children ages 4 and 6. The place was clean, well situated close to town and we had everything we could possibly need especially having a kitchen and laundry handy. I loved Halls Gap. The walks were manageable with kids and they loved Venus baths and the pool in the centre of town. 5 nights was not long enough. Janet was great with the communication and quick to answer the phone when we needed her assistance. I would definitely recommend to family and friends and wouldn't hesitate coming back.Thanks so much and have a wonderful new year.

The house was fabulous. It was clean, comfortable and convenient . We loved feeding the birds every morning and evening and we brought bird feed for wild birds with us so that we could had plenty for them. Thanks for having us.

Sehr altes kleines Haus. Bett war sauber. Bad sehr klein aber neu und sauber. Sehr gute Waschmaschine und Trockner. Aber wenn die Waschmaschine schleudert vibriert das ganze Haus.Geschirr wurde leider von vorigen Gästen schmutzig in den Kasten gestellt. Tassen hatten Schimmel darin. Wir haben daher nur 2 Tassen, 2Teller, 2 Gläser und 2 Gabeln sauber gemacht und benützt. Leider kein Geschirrspüler. Der Herd ist sehr ! antik, hat aber funktioniert. Das Beste waren die vielen tollen Tiere rundum. Hinter dem Haus schlafen und wohnen die Kängurus. Man kann sie vom Küchenfenster gut beobachten. Auf der vorderen Terrasse kommen Kakadus und bunte Vögel. Herrlich anzuschauen. Der Gesang der Kookaburras ist auch herrlich. Rundum kann man wandern und auch der Ort ist zu Fuß erreichbar. 2,2 km über Fuss und Radweg.

Very Comfortable stay

Nice place in a very lovely setting. We had very nice weather while we were in Halls Gap, so we were out and about most of the time and only really slept and showered here. Kitchen had everything we needed. No Wifi, which was good and bad (it helped limit the amount of screen time for the kids!). Thanks!

Lovely property in the perfect location!

A terrific property in a stunning location. Beautiful setting and an easy stroll to village and walking tracks. Standout features are the front and back outdoor spaces (loved the fire drum under the stars) the spacious living room, the shower and great king size bed in the master. The house was spotless on arrival and very well fitted out. Great comfy sofa and lovely linen and towels. Could have used a little more loo paper and we had to buy kindling and extra firewood as the logs provided wouldn’t burn. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!!! Thank-you!!!

This place is great! In a convenient location 10 minutes walk into town. Clean, newly renovated bathroom, and a great fireplace which warms the whole place up! Will definitely be staying here and recommending to friends which are heading to Halls Gap!

Quiet and tranquil bush setting an ideal place to unwind and enjoy all that the Grampians offer. Just a walk or short drive to Halls Gap town centre. The hosts have provided a simple but spotlessly clean cabin to enjoy with all the modern daily amenities and appliances included. It is comfortable, freshly painted internally, as new bathroom and shower, combustion wood heater (wood provided), reverse cycle heating and cooling, excellent bed and outdoor deck with table and chairs. An enjoyable place to stay.
