Ocean Front complex! This unit has 2 master suites!! Main floor has an extra 1/2 bath.Fans in every room. Relax in the sun, lay by the pool, swim, paddle board, kayak, or snorkel with the turtles in the bay, take a walk on the white sandy beach, BBQ for lunch/dinner and dine on your private lanai where you can watch the whales! (Seasonal). Its a fun place for the whole family! Sleeps 4 people comfortably. Renovated and clean. Activity desk at the front office. Covered parking place in front of your condo. Air Conditioning throughout the condo. Kahana Sunset DOES NOT have a Hot tub.
Close to shopping and Restaurants. No smoking/vaping in the condo or on the lanai (Outside condo in designated area only)
The tax is a 18.712% on your nightly room rate and is something the state of Hawaii requires us to collect. Kahana Sunset resort fee $80.00
*************** PLEASE NOTE PRIOR TO BOOKING DURING THE TIME LINES BELOW --- The recent Kona storms caused substantial damage to the sinkholes near the A Building. There was also structural damage to the A Building. The board has been working aggressively with a team of legal counsel, project managers and engineers who in turn are working with the county to determine what we can and can't do and when. This has been a major undertaking with our team and the board to get as far as we are and we continue to push for as much as we can.
We now have a tentative work plan in place for stabilizing A Building. The anticipated start date is May 11th, 2026, with work expected to continue for approximately six to ten weeks.
During this period, expect large construction equipment on property. Noise, impacts to guest parking, temporary mess, and affected views are all anticipated as part of this work. We will send this message to the property managers who have current emails on file so they can notify guests, but please forward if you have a new management company or contact. Once this initial stabilization phase is complete we will continue to work with engineers, contractors and the county on long term solutions for the sinkhole. We appreciate your patience as these essential repairs move forward.***********************************

Beautiful relaxing vacation

Could not have asked for a more perfect location! The rooms were perfect, beds were comfortable and the whole place was very clean. The property is quiet and overall very relaxing. Would definitely stay here again next time we visit Maui!

The condo was clean and had a nice view of the ocean.The 2 lanais we’re an added bonus, along with the 2 suites. The beds were also comfortable. It was steps away from the ocean and had good snorkeling, but the beach area was small.

Beautiful property

This property has stunning views. The rental was clean and and in a great location. The double master was perfect. The half bath on the main level was also very nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent place for many reasons!

We had a great stay at Kahana Sunset D3! Dan was very easy to work with and made our stay very enjoyable...easy check in process, clear communication, and had the unit stocked with all essentials. I appreciated the extra towels, well stocked paper products, utensils, coffee maker, beach equipment, large smart TV's, etc. The view was impressive and the resort was very quiet, clean and fun to hang out. We would stay there again.

Great place to stay on West Maui!

Property and condo is awesome! Has all the amenities you could ask for, including AC. Private beach is great, grounds are very pretty and condo is clean and comfortable. Views are beautiful. Location is close to a market & coffee shop. Dan is a great host, answered any questions we had! We hope to be back - thank you!

Perfect Vacation

The property is so beautiful, and the unit we stayed in fabulous! Check in and out was a breeze, and they had some kick boards, pool noodles and other fun things for the kids to use. They also had basics like dish soap, body wash, laundry detergent, garbage bags, etc. that was very appreciated! The staff for the property is also very friendly! Saw lots of turtles, whales and lizards here so that was a bonus! Thanks so much for an awesome stay!

Heaven on earth :)

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Kahana Sunset. It was 3 adults and 2 kids ages 8 and 15. The kids loved being able to go to the beach and swim with turtles close by. And some days they just enjoyed being in the pool! The views are incredible in D3. Everyday was magical just looking outside in the balcony and even caught a rainbow the next day after getting there. The place had everything we needed for 8 days and 7 nights including beach stuff that came so much in handy while going out. We will definitely be back and seriously can’t wait. Thank you for everything.

Unbearably Hot NO AC

All the fans in Hawaii could not have cooled this unit down. It was the only unit in BUILDING D without an awning over the west facing patio. No TV the entire stay. Property manager told me, in an email, he would be by to get it working but never showed. WIFI was slow barely enough speed to get Prime Movies to stream. I WOULD STAY AT THIS RESORT AGAIN BUT NOT AT THIS UNIT.

Aloha, We are sorry for the hot weather we had lately. We did have 6 fans in the house. Owner did sign a contract to have AC installation for Oct.14-21st 2019 . We will have AC installed in all bedrooms and living room areas as of 10/21/19. Regarding the WIFI we are working with Spectrum to upgrade us to the fastest WIFI . We did check on the TV, it works, its a smart TV ,we will leave the instruction manual by the TV from here on out. The owner is also aware of needing a new awning for more sun protection. Thank you so much for your feed back. We greatly appreciate it and will make the changes. Mahalo

Fantastic beach front location

This was a wonderful spot, and the beach at the property was fantastic. Dan was attentive and quick to respond to anything we needed! The unit was well stocked with anything we needed. This resort is very family friendly.

Ladies surf vacay

This unit was clean and quiet, had everything we needed for a break from the PNW rain. Close to the best surf breaks, snorkeling and shopping. I will book again when I visit Maui with my family.

Hidden gem in West Maui

Wonderful views and access to the ocean, beautiful property including use of grills. This unit was fully supplied unit that was beautifully furnished, well maintained, and clean. We had great views from the lanai that was perfect for dinners watching the sunset. We needed extra bedding and got prompt response from the property manager. We would definitely stay there again!!!

Wonderful stay!

The property was perfect for our group of 5. Nice to have AC, an easy check in process, and nice touches like boogie boards to use and beach chairs! Would definitely stay here again.

Maui 21 Trip

Property and management were fantastic. The concierge board was a great help. Only drawbacks were the pool hours, the quiet hours and lack of smoking areas. Would stay again for sure.
