As you come through our front door, leave all your worries behind and immerse yourself in the tranquility.
'Avonlea' is only a two minute walk from the rugged northern Aldinga Beach and Snapper Point. A few minutes drive south along the Esplanade takes you to the town's popular drive-on beach, or to the Aldinga Conservation Park and Lookout. Drive a few minutes north along the coast to picturesque Port Willunga. Enjoy your time on our beautiful beaches, rated amongst the best in South Australia.
'Avonlea' is a lovely two-storey home, with plenty of coastal charm, in the quieter part of Aldinga Beach, but still close to the town's main shopping centre and restaurants. It is a 2 minute drive to the Aldinga Central Shopping Centre, or a 5 minute drive back to Old Aldinga main street and shops.
You will have sole use of 'Avonlea' for the duration of your stay. We hope you find it a peaceful retreat to base yourself in while you explore the many delights of South Australia's lovely Fleurieu Peninsula.
A short 15 minute drive will take you over to the historic old township of Willunga; or to the renowned wineries and restaurants of the McLaren Vale region - host to the annual June long weekend 'Sea & Vines' festival - the region's biggest annual food and wine event.
Of course, you may prefer to just simply spend your days relaxing at the beach or hiding away at home for some rest and relaxation. Our large backyard, with its beautiful garden, makes it a very pretty spot for a quiet romantic getaway for couples; or an ideal 'home away from home' family retreat. Within a short walking distance is Symonds Reserve, where there is a playground, as well as basketball, tennis and skate park facilities, and plenty of green grass for the children to play and run around on.
'Avonlea' comfortably accommodates up to 8 people, with a maximum of 6 adults.
Upstairs:
• Spacious main BR with queen bed, tallboy dresser, private balcony
• BR 2 with 2 seperate single beds and a built in wardrobe
• BR 3 with a king single bed and a single bed,
• Two-way main bathroom, separate shower/bath, toilet, vanity areas
Downstairs:
• Lounge, dining area that seats 8 comfortably
• Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, family size fridge
• Laundry with washing machine, handy second shower, separate toilet
• BR 4 with double bed and dresser; to make life a little easier if you find stairs a bit difficult
• Heating and cooling throughout
We are sure you will look after our home, but there will be a charge of up to $500 for any damage you are responsible for during your stay.
There is a strictly NO parties, NO pets, and NO smoking policy.
Linens, pillows and towels are provided, or feel free to bring your own.
