The property was fantastic. Updated and high end in every way. Communication with the owner was super easy for any questions we had. Trip was with families of teenagers. Room setups were perfect for that. Main living area was also great for holiday bowl games with a sensational hot tub to take the edge off tough skiing days. Definitely recommend it.

The house is beautifull and was super clean. Plenty of supplies like pillows, towells, etc.Michael goes out of gis way to be helpfull, and as a bonus the sunset ciew from the porch is amazing.Booking next year again!!!!

We had a lovely stay. Michael was an excellent host. He provided several ideas for a family vacation and they were a lot of fun! I can't say enough about the home. It is beautiful and more than big enough for two families. Having coffee in the morning on the porch overlooking the mountains was a highlight. For the eleven year old kids, one of the best parts was the Gore Creek Trail hike that's either a 20 minute walk or 3 minute car ride away! I hope we'll be back!

Lovely home with beautiful views in a nice quiet neighborhood. We were incredibly comfortable, this house is furnished well. Michael is the perfect host. Very friendly and available when we had a question (even when he was in Europe!) One of our best VRBO experiences.

Top Notch Vail Stay

This home was beyond amazing—beautifully designed, incredibly comfortable, and perfectly located in East Vail. The views of the Gore Range were breathtaking, and the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after outdoor adventures. We loved the open living space, modern kitchen, and luxurious master suite. Everything was thoughtfully appointed, down to the boot dryer! Can’t wait to come back—5 stars all the way and a huge thank you to Michael who crushed it as a host and made sure we had a perfect stay!

Fantastic Place to Stay!

This house was perfect and Michael was a great host! We had two families (4 adults and 4 boys ages 8-11). The house was very spacious with three levels allowing us to spread out, and also had a great open main level ideal for comfortably hanging out all together. It was clean, well stocked and a great location to grab the local bus to Vail skiing. The hot tub was wonderful to jump in at the end of the ski day and the views were beautiful. Michael gave us great local recommendations prior to our trip and checked in on us when we received a significant amount of snow during our trip. Overall a wonderful trip and we would stay again!

Winter Wonderland

This property was perfect for our group, which included 6 adults and 2 children! The house is modern and well decorated but still provides a cozy atmosphere. The kitchen was very well stocked and great for the times we cooked at home! The hot tub was perfect and easy to use. Michael, the host, was very helpful and informative and very easy to communicate with! The house is about a 5-10 minute walk to the bus stop that takes you in town to vail village - the bus is a very convenient way to get to and from the village! We would love to stay here again!

Fantastic stay with lovely views

Great home with everything we needed. Great living room to hang with lovely views of mountains. Going in private hot tub after skiing was great way to end the day. Hosts are wonderful and very responsive and accommodating.

Outstanding Property

This house was perfect for our family trip to vail. It was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. You can tell the owners take wonderful care of this property. It is warm and inviting with a modern twist. We loved looking at the views from the windows and relaxing in the hot tub. The kitchen had absolutely everything that you could need. Bedrooms and living areas were perfect for resting up for another day of skiing. The host was amazing! He was so attentive and thoughtful. I can not recommend this property enough.

Great July vacation

Nine of us (six adults and three tweens) had a wonderful stay! The house is updated and had everything we needed. The hot tub and sounds from the creek next to the house were an added bonus! It was a short drive into town, and Michael checked in with us often and provided great suggestions for local activities. We definitely would stay here again!

A dream house in Vail Colorado

This house was exceptional. Lots of room for two families of four to coexist and a wonderful central living room kitchen in which to gather. The house was very well appointed with a beautiful large kitchen and we never ran out of dishes, cups or cutlery. Access to the garage let us store our ski gear easily and the ski boot warmers in the downstairs were a luxurious touch. The hot tub fit four adults comfortably and the views are spectacular. Access to Vail village was easy as the bus stop was just down the road or a 10 minute drive to parking in the village. All in all the home was spotlessly clean, well appointed and the communication and service were the best. When we come back to vail as a large group, we will absolutely stay at Michael's home again. Honestly, could not have been better!

Great Location in East Vail with a great host

What can I say about the property?! The property has everything that you will need. From the pans; to the bowls to the cooking utensils; to the screwdriver to tighten up your snowboard bindings. The master bedroom where I stayed, had a great bathroom, a large walk-in closet and a work desk right near the bed, including an extra monitor. For a workaholic entrepreneur like me, the desk right near the bed; came in handy! The property is beautiful and well maintained. You can relax in the hot tub and look at the snowcapped mountains from all sides. Michael is a great host, and the communication was superb. Overall, this house in conjunction with Michael as the owner ranks in my top 3 mountain homes of all time; and I have been renting from VRBO for over 15 years. Thanks again Michael for your hospitality.

Beautiful house

This house is perfect for a group that wants to hang out together but also needs privacy for the individual families. It is beautiful, clean, & spacious; exactly as the pictures portray. It’s also nice that each floor has its own heating/cooling system. The owner was also very accommodating & communicative.

In addition to getting 3+ days of powder skiing, the accommodations are exactly as advertised. The house is immaculate, beds comfortable and the views are amazing. We would absolutely come back.

BEST RENTAL in VAIL!!!

Everything was PERFECT ! I rented the house for a father /son ski trip. There were 3 Dads and 6 boys ages 12-17 and the space was great! The house is FULLY renovated and absolutely IMMACULATE! Michael the owner went above and beyond before and during our stay. He offered to set up an air mattress to give the kids more space with sleeping arrangements. The house had everything we needed. The hot tub was the best one we have ever been in. The jets were really strong and massaging which was welcome after a long day on the slopes. Micheal the owner emailed us "local" tips for skiing, parking, rentals, restaurants etc. We want to rent this house again in the summer it was so AMAZING and then again next ski season. The house and Michael EXCEEDED our expectations ....which is hard ....we are really particular and never imagined EVERYTHING could be as awesome as it was. THANK YOU !

Excellent Stay

We had an excellent stay at chez Barney. The house was perfect for our family of 5 including 3 boys 22, 20 and 16. Everyone had their own space to relax after a long day on the mountain on 3 levels of the house. The Barneys were excellent communicators and left detailed instructions on how to navigate both the house and skiing, which was very helpful for first time visitors to Vail. Everything was perfect and we enjoyed the coziness of the house each evening. It was like every aspect of the home was geared to maximize our relaxation. I was very happy with how well stocked the spice rack was since we cooked most evenings. It was a pleasure to meet Michael and Trisha before we left and we hope to visit again soon!

Perfection

This property is absolutely beautiful in a wonderful neighborhood. It is close enough to Vail village to take advantage of what the village has to offer yet removed enough to be peaceful. There is great hiking practically out the front door and a terrific park for the kids within walking distance. Michael made some fantastic suggestions including a most memorable rafting trip. We enjoyed evening soaks in the hot tub and dinner fresh off the grill on the lovely terrace. In short, this home is perfect.

Best place in East Vail!

This was our second stay at this property in East Vail and it continues to impress. Ideally located in a quiet neighborhood, this home is beautiful and spacious with every amenity, and a fabulous view of the mountains. Michael is easy to work with and always quick with a response to any questions. He gave us the inside scoop to efficiently navigate parking at the base and lift lines, thank you Michael!! Our property is owned by the Barney family who are long time Colorado residents and this is our second East Vail home over 20 years and enjoy sharing "local's" knowledge and suggestions with our guests. We have had many great memories from raising our two ski racing children in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Vail is a special place for us and since we are active skiers, hikers, bikers and fly fishermen, it has become our four season sanctuary.

This property is very special to us and is the result of our dream to build a mountain modern home that has breath taking views unique to the high alpine setting of East Vail. our design goal was to create a warm and functional home that allows us to entertain family and friends.

We were hands on during the design and build process and love the clean lines and inviting spaces. The views are amazing from all rooms of the house and the kitchen and large dining room are a great match. One of our favorite parts of the home is after a full day of skiing storing our ski clothes in the European cubbies, putting our ski boots on the 8 pair commercial dryer and then heading to the hot tub that is located directly off the great room for some hydro therapy and relaxation.
