We (2 adults) stayed here for a week in June, 2026, and found it to be exactly as described and a perfect base of operations for our Michigan trip. Just about every day, we enjoyed the short, comfortable walk to the shops and restaurants, and returning to the quiet, secluded-feeling, woods surrounding the property. As now-middle-aged birders, we were particularly delighted by the variety of warblers we could hear singing in the yard and along other side streets leading down to the lake, as well as the proximity -- a pretty 6-minute drive -- to the Glen Haven / Coast Guard / Sleeping Bear Point beaches where piping plovers nest. The house itself is well-stocked (in terms of all appliances and amenities), everything was clean and in very good working order, and Pete was prompt and helpful responding to a couple of questions that we had. The single-floor layout of the house is convenient but still afforded us plenty of space to spread out.All in all, this is a fantastic property, and we look forward to having the opportunity to stay here again.
