The very basics
I’ve never written a negative review before but I feel it’s important to forewarn others
When traveling I strive for accommodations as good or better than my home. This rental offers the very least in basic accommodations. The 2 rolls of toilet paper were one ply “see through” paper product. No starter roll of paper towels. Floors and based boards very dirty. One trash bag. The hallway and bathroom rugs were so old that the nap was worn flat. The rug in front of stove was curled up on edge. Tripped on it and the rug moved revealing someone’s earring and dirt. Mattresses very old and uncomfortable. No sheets for sofa bed. No hair dryer. Balcony area was dirty and needs to be repainted. We had to go out and purchase some cooking spoons and spatula as there were enough on hand to prepare a meal. Manual can opener would not work. The stove oven needs to be recalibrated as temperature settings were off. The elevators were being worked on everyday. On Thursday my nephew was stuck in elevator for 45 minutes. Even lint was leftover in dryer. The dishwasher and washer/dryer were good. I did stop by Dunes Realty to complain about cleanliness and was told they could not do anything about issues as they only handle reservations. In mid-May we stayed in Hilton Head directly on the beach and accommodations were wonderful. And the price differences between these 2 vacations was less than $100. So I guess I’ll research more carefully next time I want to vacation in this area.
