Another Wonderful Stay!

This was our 5th stay at this beautiful rental that feels like home to us. Location is beautiful and relaxing. Love sitting on the deck over the creek and fires in the firepit. Home is comfortable and clean. Kitchen is well stocked and has every small appliance you could possibly need. Will definitely return - as this is now a yearly destination for us. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing stay at Almost Heaven. From the amazing kitchen to the rolling creek out back, the property was ideal! Not only for us humans, but my pups loved all the special pet friendly items for them as well.

Great creek getaway

Wonderful in every way! The only problem we had was opening the bear proof garbage can. We left our bags of trash in the kitchen since the bear proof can was also human proof!!

Serene babbling brook

Beautiful cabin with breathtaking view of babbling brook. Offered every amenity desired, including treats for our fur babies. We'll definitely be back.

Just completed our fifth visit to this cozy cabin. Obviously, we love it. Clean, beautifully decorated, well stocked kitchen, and a peaceful piece of nature literally at your back door. We’ll be back.

Happy Place

This is our fourth stay at this “slice of heaven”. Each time we open the front door, it feels like coming home. Never disappoints…. extremely clean, kitchen well stocked, beautiful decor…. Just everything to make your stay comfortable. Every time we visit, we intend to go into downtown Elijay, but as soon as we sit on the back deck and listen to the soothing sounds of the river, we never leave the cabin. We’ll be back!

An amazing place; we could move right in!

Wow! Our host said we were in for a treat and she really meant it. It was the nicest of VRBO homes we have ever rented. Clean, fresh and everything you could ask for or need, and then some, in a home, right down to spices and even makeup clothes and cotton balls. They simply thought of everything! Location was perfect, neighbors were close, but quiet. Local deer even graced us with their presence on multiple days. Close enough to town and roads were easy to drive. Will definitely stay again, if we ever come back through Ellijay, GA. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

Beautiful Property

This is a beautiful cabin in an even more beautiful location. Cabin was decorated to perfection. Could have spent a week just setting on the deck watching and listening to creek. If we ever decide to go back to this area this is where we will stay.

Heaven

This was our second stay at Mountaintown Creek Escape and just as wonderful as the first time. Such a gorgeous property. The home had everything that we needed and is so comfortable. We cooked all of our breakfasts and dinners at home and the kitchen is well equipped. The balcony over the river is the perfect place for coffee and cocktails. We definitely spent most of our time out there. Contact with the host was easy and prompt. We love this vacation home and plan to return yearly!

It really is “almost” heaven

This was truly the perfect place to relax and unwind! The view is gorgeous, the home is gorgeous, the sound of the creek rushing over the waters was so peaceful, and it is only a short drive to the town of Ellijay. Truly the perfect getaway!

Truly Almost Heaven

I found this home through a VRBO recommendation and it was better than I thought it would be! The home is beautiful and very well decorated in a barn style with all the amenities. The property is located on Mountaintown Creek and the outdoor spaces lend themselves to sitting creek side enjoying nature. The city of Ellijay was very enjoyable with a lot of shops, antique hunting, and great restaurants. We had a great time and would definitely visit again!

Almost Heaven

I stole the title from a sign at the property because it was the perfect description for this place. The house is perfectly pristine with any and everything you would need for a relaxing stay. From the decor and bedding to the chef worthy kitchen and perfect placement next to the creek this place exemplifies the aforementioned “Almost Heaven”. My wife and I were there to unplug and restfully celebrate her birthday. We enjoyed sitting by a fire out by the creek at night and took advantage of all the amenities. We did not have a reason to leave for the 3 nights we were there. The host was very responsive as well. We will definitely be returning to this place.

Beautiful property

Location is really nice, very quiet road. Nice running creek. There is a ton of parking, lots of firewood, and the house itself is very tastefully done. And expensively done... Everything is high quality. Some other VRBO's are cheaply made just to look nice in the picture but that is not the case here. All high quality and luxury materials. Very well appointed with appliances, towels, comfortable bedding, coffee, dog treats, and just about anything else you could think of or need, it's there for you. When I had questions about the fireplace the homeowner answered very quickly, and was patient and kind. I would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

Pure Bliss

Words cannot describe how much we enjoyed every aspect of our stay at this cottage. First, I was worried the road leading to the cottage would be scary and it wasn’t at all so no fear of you are a Florida flat land driver like me. Every detail was thought of in this cabin and made it feel like home as soon as you walked in. The peace and tranquility of having the creek right outside the window was therapeutic. We couldn’t get enough. It snowed our first morning and we saw deer in the creek at the same time. The place is kept meticulous and has everything you need if you wanted to cook meals each night. We loved the decor, inspirational messages throughout the cottage and fireplace. My dogs also enjoyed walks along the path to and from the cottage as well as the fenced in backyard. Do keep your dogs on a leash as instructed. The neighbors let their dogs off leash and seemed to know their limits but do come on and near the property. It’s only a 10 minute drive to downtown Ellijay. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and can’t wait to return.
