Red Rock Cottage is a luxury peaceful hideaway sitting on the edge of the ocean at Clarks Beach in New Zealand. It is absolute beachfront, go to sleep with the birds calling over the water, and wake up to the movement of the ocean tides.

In our brand new 2-bedroom oasis you will find peace, modern amenities such as unlimited WIFI, and all your need for relaxing each day. Take out a paddleboard, go kayaking, or lie on the beach.

Clarks beach is tidal, with an every changing landscape. It can be peaceful and still, or wild and stormy!

Clarks beach is part of a little village that holds all you need... Get a massage, go to golf at our Top10 links course, buy supplies like food or drink, or pop down to our local restaurant or cafe. If you are feeling adventurous come fishing with your hosts Craig and Megan, and cross your fingers for a change to see a passing Orca or catch a fish for dinner!! Love to see you! Megan and Craig ❤

Beautiful, Peaceful and Convenient

This property and the hosts are phenomenal. We could not have asked for a better experience or a more comfortable cottage. It’s even nicer than the pictures! The neighborhood was quiet and the cottage had everything we needed to enjoy travels to New Zealand. We traveled from the States and found the location to be perfect for day trips to the city, Hamilton, Raglan, Waitomo (glow worm caves), Hobbiton, and surrounding areas. We highly recommend!

Couldn't be any better

We had to find temporary accommodation while house repairs were being done, and we were so lucky to find Craig and Megan with their pristine bach. While we weren't on holiday and still had work and school drop offs, we couldn't have picked a more suitable residence. The bach has literally everything you need and more. From USB wall outlets, to blazingly fast WiFi speeds, and super comfortable beds we felt right at home. While also being able to wake up to incredible ocean views that made you think maybe there really is a God, right on our doorstep too! We had our own privacy right from day one. Craig and Megan would periodically text us making sure everything was perfect for our stay. 10/10 hosts. If you're gonna book a bach, book this one. Be it for a holiday kayaking on the ocean, or a working holiday to escape the city. It's worth every penny.

Craig and Megan are awesome hosts and extremely helpful and kind. The beach house is such beautiful stay with everything you need I would highly recommend this rental and would book again in a heartbeat. Thank you for such a great experience.

Wonderful hosts and house

Red rock cottage was an idyllic property just on the water. Very modern amenities and excellent add ons such as kayaks, paddle board, life jacket, Netflix etc. Will definitely be staying again Megan and Craig were wonderful hosts

What an amazing week we had, from the very first communication when we booked through to our greeting at the cottage, it was the best way to start our holiday and it set us up for the most relaxing holiday in a long time. Exactly as seen on the pictures!

This is an absolutely immaculate property. So stylish and the property finishes and appliances are top class. The view is just incredible and the hosts are so friendly and helpful. This is by far the most beautiful bach we have ever stayed at that allowed our fur babies on our family holiday. Highly recommended.

Beachfront Stunner

Can’t recommend Red Rock Cottage highly enough. It is beautifully appointed with everything you could need for a break away from the hustle of everyday life. It was absolutely spotless, and communication with the owners was superb. Loved everything about this cottage and am already planning our return.

Amazing little cottage and location

What a lovely break away we had. The cottage is beautifully appointed, very modern and lovely interior. Clarkes Beach was a previously undiscovered and wonderful surprise. To have the water at our door step was magical and the birds at low tide were mesmerising to watch - especially for our enthusiastic little dog! Megan and Craig are great hosts and this property has everything you need. Thank you!

Lovely host. Friendly neighbours had great chats walking along the beach. such a beautiful cosy cottage. Booked a couple nights with some friends for a lil relaxing getaway. Used the kayaks and paddle boards provided to catch sunrise and sunset such an amazing experience and awesome view off the calm waters . Will definitely book again :)

Relaxing beachfront location!

This cute modern cottage is in a great beachfront location with a really safe beach for kids to kayak and swim at high tide. We really appreciated the air con, well equipped kitchen and washing machine, along with the use of the kayaks. The owner was also great to deal with, thanks so much!!

Chill out in Clarks Beach

Wonderful 'Red Rock ' cottage a real gem amongst the beach stones & shells . Love the decor, great bed and views to die for Craig and Megan have created a cottage to be proud of with all the necessities holiday breaks require.. We will be back.

Amazing getaway with high tech feel.

Everything you need from heated outdoor shower, to state of the art interior with an open flow with beautiful beach view. We enjoyed the ocean view relaxing from the deck which has a BBQ and was fenced which was ideal for our dog. Amazing service from very helpful owners just a ph call away. We would highly recommend and plan to come back for another stay.

This was exactly the kind of weekend getaway my Daughter & I needed!

This peaceful little slice of paradise was the perfect "Mum & Daughter" space we were hoping to find! The hosts are totally cut out for this & were so friendly & helpful ... so much appreciated, thanks! The cottage is beautiful, tastefully decorated & designed, with everything you need. The heat pump kept us nice & toasty, for our winter weekend. The quietness of this lovely setting is glorious & we had perfect weather! My Daughter enjoyed a gentle kayak on flat water & the sunset was incredible! We're from the suburbs of Auckland, so having somewhere so close, yet so removed was fabulous! We both hope to stay at Red Rock Cottage again & totally recommend staying here!!!
