Located on two private city lots in Movie Colony East, this walled and gated five-bedroom property combines Old Hollywood glamour with modern resort-style amenities. With one of the largest private pools in Palm Springs, multiple outdoor living areas, a spa, pavilion, casita, and pool house, this iconic retreat is designed for families, groups, and anyone seeking a one-of-a-kind desert getaway. Beds: K, K, K, K, Q OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES The estate opens with breathtaking mountain views and a 45-foot resort-style pool surrounded by chaise lounges, alfresco dining, and a fire pit lounge. The rear yard features a private spa, a covered outdoor living pavilion, a second dining area for ten or more, and a built-in BBQ. Guests can enjoy yard games including shuffleboard, croquet, foosball, darts, and lawn games, all shaded by towering palms and citrus trees. Whether you're sunning by the pool, dining under the pavilion, or gathering around the fire pit at sunset, the outdoor spaces deliver the perfect blend of relaxation and entertainment. ** The pool will be heated upon request with an additional service fee. Please let us know if you'd like to heat the pool so we can ensure it is heated before your arrival. If you home has a spa or hot tub, heating the spa is included with your rental at no extra cost ** ** Please Note: 1. This fee is not included in the quoted price on some booking platforms. 2. Pool heating may be added in minimum of 3 day blocks per request ** INDOOR LIVING SPACES Inside, the estate has been thoughtfully updated while preserving its historic charm. Hollywood Regency art, midcentury furnishings, custom wallpaper, and nods to the Hope family create a vibrant backdrop for your stay. The free-flowing floor plan features high ceilings, walls of glass, and travertine marble floors that keep the interiors light and airy. Guests can pour a martini at the original mirrored bar where Bob once entertained Hollywood legends, then relax in the spacious living areas designed for conversation, cocktails, and connection. With multiple lounge spaces, colorful décor, and plenty of photo-worthy details, the interiors are as Instagrammable as they are comfortable. ** The term "Pets Allowed" or "Pets Accepted" at an ACME House Company vacation rental means that we welcome dogs only. No other pets are allowed. ** SLEEPING QUARTERS The main house features three suites, each with its own personality. The Bob Hope Suite — Bob's original bedroom — includes a king bed, mirrored walls, a flatscreen TV, ensuite marble bath with double vanity, and walk-in closet with his original tie rack and shoe shelf. The Dolores Suite features a king bed, walk-in closet, private half bath, and fabulous wallpaper. The Atomic Room offers a queen bed, starburst wallpaper, and a connected bath. The detached Casita provides a private entrance, king bed, ensuite bath, desk, and a tropical Old Hollywood vibe. The Pink Lemonade Pool House, located at the front of the property, includes a king bed, ensuite bath with restored vintage tile, and private entrance. An additional cabana bath with shower is conveniently located off the pool area. With three suites in the main house, plus a casita and a pool house, this estate offers both privacy and flexibility — ideal for large groups or multi-generational getaways. THE LOCATION Movie Colony East is one of Palm Springs' most prestigious neighborhoods, celebrated for its architecture, history, and walkability. This was the PERFECT rental for a group of 10 college friends celebrating our 50ths (could also be good for couples or bachelorette group)! We enjoyed the house and all of the amenities. Loved the citrus trees for limes and lemons in our drinks! The pool and hot tub were great after a hot day of shopping and the tram. Walkable to downtown. Short Uber ride from airport. Fun to see photos in house of Bob Hope and his family. Would highly recommend.

Great Family Getaway

The home and property was clean, well-appointed and beautiful. We had a group of 10 and always felt like we had plenty of room to gather together but also spend some quiet time alone. The beds were very comfortable. Just short walk to shops, restaurants and bars. It was a fantastic stay!

Amazing historic property.

Wonderful property. Exactly as described and shown in pictures. It was perfect for our group of friends, including children. Very comfortable beds and a perfect layout. We so enjoyed our stay and the fabulous pool.

Palm Springs break

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Thanks for the Memory. The house is spacious, retro and comfortable. The pool was the center of entertainment for all ages. The location is near a park and restaurants. Our spring break was a total success!

What a great time we had this past weekend luxuriating in fabulous house. The layout, the decor, the appointments were perfect. Bob Hope would have been proud of all the laughter and good cheer experienced during out stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay. The house had everything we needed and plenty of indoor and outdoor space for our group! The quiet street was fantastic but we loved being a short stroll or bike ride from downtown Palm Springs.

Great house, great pool, perfect location

Pool was heated, Jacuzzi was excellent.Great kitchen, rooms were comfortable.Just wanted to note a couple things.Two of the rooms are not directly accessible from the main house. For us, this worked out well fortunately.There were a few ants inside the house, so may need some more attention.We got a kick out of the tour buses driving by

Wonderful Home

Beautiful home and very spacious! Neighborhood was beautiful and just over a mile walk to town which was very easy. Spacious park nearby too for walking. No twin beds. Management company was very quick to respond when we had an issue. Would definitely return.

Father's Day weekend and Kate's BD

We had the best time 8 adults in one family could ever have. Loved the pool, loved all the photos and art work in the home. This truly is a Home for Hope! I wish the spa was at ground level and part of the pool but you can't have everything? Overall it was very comfortable and very clean. Room to spread out and views of the mountains were amazing too. Service from the team at Acme was exceptional!

Fantastic Choice!

All 9 of us had nothing but compliments when we first walked in the gate. That created a positive vibe that kept with us the entire time. The Bob & Delores Hope theme was present, yet complimented the Palm Springs "Movie Colony" feel. Open environment with the living room engaged with the kitchen and outdoor pool deck. Pool, Jacuzzi, darts, shuffle board, BBQ, and more. Rooms were large and spacious with one of them cute but decorated to make you smile. Close to downtown Palm Springs, 111 highway, Tram, and hikes. We left with great memories!

Exquisite Vacation And Home

This was a 75th birthday that included 6 adults and 3 children under 6. The spaciousness of the home allowed for us all to be under one roof, but to have ample rooms for sleeping, playing and quiet. The pool, with available toys, was amazing. Sitting under the awning in the hot Palm Springs air was divine. The back sitting area allowed for meals outside d lots of running room for children. The kitchen was well supplied. The home itself brought Bob and Delores Hope to life. What a privilege to stay in their well appointed home. Acme Rental was superb. They were responsive to questions and requests, and always friendly. This company is the best I’ve encountered. This felt like a genuine Palm Springs vacation. We are all ready to come back.

Wonderful weekend getaway

This property left us wanting for nothing! It was exactly as described. The pictures don’t convey how spacious it actually is. It sits on a corner and occupies two lots. You really have a lot of space to enjoy, whether it’s in the front pool area, in the home or in the backyard. The pool is absolutely massive and we liked how there was also a jacuzzi in the backyard. We really loved how each bedroom had its own full bathroom and there were even 1.5 extra bathrooms on top of that! Property Management was quick to send someone out when we notified them that we couldn’t access the pool inflatables, which were locked in the garage. Our group likes to cook and they had good quality cookware, which was impressive. We can’t wait for an excuse to stay here again! Five out of five stars!

Excellent location, home and pool!

Loved this location in Movie Colony East. Walkable to downtown and to a nice city park. The home is nicely appointed with all bedrooms spread out and offering their own bathrooms. There were 10 of us and I would have appreciated having more than 1 bath towel/person for a 5 night stay, but, it was nice having 1 pool towel/person and we just had to do a little extra laundry to have clean bath towels. The kitchen could have been stocked better, but it was manageable. We loved having the bar with all of the stemware and plastic cup options for the pool. The home is furnished with Target and Ikea quality items, but, it is very functional and still has that fun mid-century modern vibe. Overall, a wonderful property and high marks for ACME House Rentals, whom I will use again.

An Escape Back in Time

Lovely, incredibly well-maintained property. Sparkling clean. The grounds are beautiful, and the property (which sits on two lots) is larger than it appears in the photos. LOVED the nostalgic, mid-century decor. Despite the new appliances and modern conveniences, we felt transported back in time. Quiet neighborhood, yet just 5 minutes from downtown Palm Springs. Excellent communication with responsive property management. Would absolutely return.

Classic Palm Springs

Awesome vacation with our family. Huge lot and pool. Property is excellently decorated and stocked. Tastefully redone while honoring the history of being Bob Hope’s former house. Acme manages this property and has timely and great service. Thanks for the memories!

Loved the Property's History

The history of the property initially grabbed out interest. It was in the ideal location, close to our conference location. The large pool allowed us some down time between meetings. Would definitely stay again!

Loved this celebrity home

This was a great home for our girl’s retreat. Great kitchen to cook and fabulous pool. Loved Palm Springs. Acne house was very responsive.
