Beautiful home. Everything was clean and it was stocked with plenty of towels, soaps and shampoo. Would most definitely recommend!!

Enjoyable time with family

Our stay was quite enjoyable. The kitchen was well stocked and having 2 refrigerators, a washer and dryer was great. The living space and downstairs provided plenty of room for family to visit and play games. The overall layout of the house was good, except that there was no restroom downstairs. The front yard was great for a game of baseball and corn hole. Our favorite place was the back deck overlooking the river. The stairs down to the river needed some attention as they were very dangerous to use. Overall, we liked the property.

Exceptional property

Thirty years ago when we first started coming to Mountain View Jacks Fishing Resort was the first place we stayed. It as so special to be just down from Jacks. And the property had a special feel to it too. This property is renovated beautifully and well stocked!! We loved it.

Cousin trip

Lovely property and beautiful view. Yard had not been mowed and we feared we were at the wrong residence initially. Overall was clean, but some sticky ring places were on a couple tables, lamps without bulbs, etc. owner is lovely but may need to checkup on his cleaners. Showers weren’t sparkling.

Great vacation spot

Property is in a great location for spending time on the river and Sylamore creek. Access to the river at the property is a little challenging. The stairs and decks are rotted and do not go all the way to the water depending on water level. There was no dustpan in the house and limited amount of other cleaning supplies/trash bags.

On the White River

Perfect back porch and deck for watching the lazy river. The house is large and plenty of room for our large and diverse family. Loved fishing from the bank and swimming from the nearby creek with my grandkids. Could use some improvement to back stairs and bedroom decoration but everything else is great. The master bedroom and ensuite bath is awesome

Mountain View Riverfront

Absolutely wonderful! The house was so comfortable and cozy. We loved the wood burning fireplace and the huge kitchen. The dining area was perfect for eating together and playing evening games. The deck overlooking the river was so relaxing. It was the perfect spot for morning coffee and evening refreshments. The host was responsive and answered all questions quickly. The short drive to Blanchard Springs Recreation Area is a must see with an easy walking path along beautiful waterfalls and lake. We would absolutely come again!!

Awesome!!!

This stay was very relaxing. The view of the white river and the peacefulness of sitting on the back porch watching squirrels and birds every morning was great! I would recommend this to anyone wanting to break away from the business of life. I have three kids, 12-13 years of age, and they loved this. We are planning on returning!!! The host was amazing, also. Answered any and all questions I had within minutes of contact.

Family Vacation

Really enjoyed the entire area and the house. Interior is incredible and comfortable. Back deck and back porch could use some TLC. Great views and great location. Quiet neighborhood. Perfect home base for a week of mountain adventure. Zero cell signal while at the house. Be prepared to use wifi for calling, text and emails. Not a problem though.

Leaking roof

Overall it was a good trip. However, we have never stayed in a rental property that had personal pictures in the house. One of the rooms looked like a funeral viewing room. The downstairs had a leak in the ceiling every time someone showered and looked like black mold. There was a storm while we were there and both skylights leaked water and there was a leak in the ceiling behind the tv. The stairs outside need to be fixed and they are aware of it and have had reviews about it for two years and still not fixed.

Spring Break

Comfortable home with all needed amenities. Beds comfortable. Easy access to home, flat paved road great for bicycling. Very quiet, the river moves but silent. Close to Blanchard Springs Caverns and Mirror Lake Falls, both worth the trip. We ate at Spah Grill and shopped at Walmart, both close. Yes the back stairs need care but easy if you go slow. We would come back it was very nice and true to pictures,

Fantastic experience

Had the opportunity to stay in this house while fishing at Jack’s Fishing resort. The house is incredible! Had everything we needed to cook large meals! We spent the evenings on the back porch which has an unbelievable view of the White River rolling by. The 2 sets of Bunk beds in the bottom room had very comfortable mattresses. All of the bedding was way more than expected from a vacation rental. It is obvious the owners care about this property as well as your time there. There is no better place to stay and fish at Jacks in my opinion.

Annual Birthday Stay

We have celebrated my son’s birthday here for the past three years. We have four adults, and four kids all together in one space and never feel like we are too close. There is so much room. The teens and kid love the downstairs area. They claim it and spend the whole weekend in it only emerging for food and bathrooms. The adults love the view from the comfy, spacious living room. As the cook, I love the amazing open kitchen. Everything I need, except the food, is provided. And don’t get me started on the master bath! We have a few issues over the years that were immediately addressed. We are already planning our next trip here.

Christmas Break

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. When we arrived their was some miscommunication with the cleaning, but the host was quick to make it right. He immediately got it taken care off. The view of the river was beautiful, and we enjoyed a long walk checking out the area. Only suggestions I could make is having enough towels and washcloths for everyone. We also ran out of trashbags and toiletry items. Thank goodness Walmart was not far away. We enjoyed the stay and plan on returning to Mountain View in the spring for a side by side ride and possibly trout fishing.
