This was my first experience with a VRBO so I was unsure what to expect. The check-in process was easy. The property was located in a perfect spot and was incredibly scenic. That's about where the good ended. The inside of the property was very stale smelling. There was mold on the ceiling of both of the bathrooms that could possibly be the source. There seemed to be a lot of deferred maintenance on the property. The cabinets in the kitchen didn't quite close in a lot of cases, the shower head in the main bathroom was detached from the wall, and one of the deck railing panels fell out due to the wind. The pictures on the site looked great but they must be from a few years ago as everything in person seemed to have aged a bit and looked ever so slightly worse for wear. It wasn't the worst place I've ever stayed but I would not stay here again.

Wonderful spot on Lake Murray

Nice, quiet area around Lake Murry with great water view and access. We were able to launch our boat on site, which was an additional plus.

Could be a great Lakefront rental

Owner needs to state boat ramp should only be for bass boats. We launch our boat with issues, had to go to public launch to take out. The public launch was close. Grill was not working. We always grill when we rent(which we rent on Lake Murray 5 to 7 times during the summer). 1st night we made do, next morning they came and picked up grill but didn't drop off a new one until the next day! Yes, owner was responsive, but I do not cook beef tenderloin steaks in the house! Last night I did get to grill burgers or would have had to order out. House does need new kitchen items. Salad size plates cannot go in microwave, glasses are very mismatched, knife set was dirty and not sharp. Luckily, I brought my own cookie sheet size pan (the only thing I could rely on). Kitchen cabinets are dated and do not stay closed. Secondary bathtub was horrible but luckily only used Master bath. Would not rent again for the nightly rate being charged.

Stayed for a bass tournament

Perfect place for our bass tournament. Property had plenty of parking for three trucks all with boats. The boat ramp on the property made it so convenient for us. I’ll definitely be staying here again when I’m in town.

A good short visit

The location and the house layout were both good. We loved being able to sit either on the outside deck or at the dining room table and have a panoramic view of a section of the lake. The house sits far enough off the road to eliminate road traffic issues and there was no neighborhood noise. The house layout accommodated two couples very well. We had everything we needed for our visit, however, the inside of the house is quite dated and could use a complete update to furnish it as a modern day rental facility. The cabinets all contained personal items shoved back to allow joint use by renters. If it is going to be a ”joint-use” facility it needs a bit better organization. The bar area was not set up for use and the fireplace and outside grill had not been cleaned after the last use. We enjoy having a glass of wine in the evening and were disappointed that it took a bit of an effort to find four real glass wine “glasses”. There were plastic wine glasses in the kitchen cabinets and the bar. However, we were not content to drink our wine from plastic glasses. Since the house is set up to accommodate six people, I would suggest stocking the bar with at least six, or preferably 12, “glass” wine glasses. The internet did not work when we arrived. Alicia called AT&T and they had it repaired and working by the end of the second day of our three-day visit. Alicia was a very responsive host and did what she could to respond to the internet issue. Overall-A good visit.

Sisters on the Lake

Overall, everything was perfect except for two things. The one thing is a personal preference. All the mattresses are SOFT. I couldn't handle that, so I had to sleep on the couch to even get a little bit of sleep. I need hard mattresses, so from now on, I need to find out about the mattresses. The second thing was we wanted to use the boat and/or the kayak there. They both had holes! It was appreciated when the slats on one bed broke. They were fixed within an hour! Thanks! learned

Great Place, but a tropical storm happened!

Our stay on beautiful Lake Murray was scheduled in January, for four nights in late September. Unfortunately, we and Storm Helene arrived at about the same time! Enjoyed our first day, then had to leave due to lengthy power and water outages. Owner was very accommodating and issued us a refund. The house is situated right on Lake Murray, beautiful views. I would recommend this property to anyone.

We had a lovely time and the accommodations were comfortable and as listed. The owner was very accessible for questions and right on time when we had an issue with the patio umbrella. Although the kitchen and second bath could use updates, we would stay here again

We had a wonderful stay on Lake Murray. View was beautiful, was able to launch our pontoon from ramp, and delightful stay at this lake house. We would stay again on our next trip to LM.

Owner was personable and accessible. Beautiful setting, views, lots of parking, easy access to docks and boat ramp. Got to play croquet on wonderful lawn. Recommend cleaning and organizing of cabinets and closets. Great fishing location. Would be awesome to add a fish cleaning station. Thank you.
