Location! In the heart of Katoomba capturing the essence of the Blue Moutains

Warm and cosy and plenty of room for the family. Only a few hundred metres to public transport, shops and all the major attractions. Beautiful and spacious rooms and a big backyard. Fully catered kitchen and fresh quality linen and towels. The house will make you want to move to the blue mountains as you immerse yourself with the vintage touches.

The size of this house will surprise you with lost of places to sit and read, eat together as a group/family, enjoy the fireplace and take in the view. It is in a great spot. You will have every thing you need to feel like you are in the blue mountains.

Full equiped. 4 bedrooms, 10 bed space and three bathrooms.

Room 1 is luxurious with a king bed, gas fireplace. The bed can be made in two singles if requested.

Room 2 has two bunk beds.

Room 3 (upstairs) has a Queen Bed, balcony, electric fireplace, and a single bed.

Room 4 has three single beds, an electric fireplace, and sperate toilet and shower. As well as a small balcony with a view over looking Leura.

In the lower part of the house, is a small toy room, washing maching and dryer and an third toilet and shower. Making it perfect for groups.

Location was great. Communication was great. House was in need of a deep clean. Very dusty, the bathroom floor has hair and fluff on it when we checked in. Even though it's old it could be a lot cleaner. Showers had paint peeling off the walls. Expected more for the money we paid.

Long weekend stay

Beware extra hidden charges for this booking. The listing says it sleeps 10 and our booking was for 10 people. Despite that we were charged extra. Total extra charges were more than one nights stay which is unreasonable.

Perfect location for a girls weekend

Alia was very accomodating and we had everything we needed. The house was cosy and the heating worked a treat. Very central location to shops, dining and the three sisters. The house has a lot of old world charm. We really enjoyed our stay.

An excellent Katoomba break

The cottage is very well-located, just a short walk around from Katoomba Street, and just a short drive to Echo Point. it is a large and comfortable old house, clean and well -maintained and with all the facilities you might want. Just be aware that this house may not suit some groups (like mine) which include elderly or disabled members because on the entry level, there is only a king bed room and a bunkroom. The remaining beds and bedrooms are upstairs. Although there are three bathrooms/showers, none are ensuite. Otherwise this house is such a great choice for a larger group. The host Alia was very helpful and accomodating. (... she contacted us quickly when the cleaner found that one of our party left a bag behind and we quickly arranged for the retrieval.). And yes, I would definitely stay here again.

Convenient location in the heart of Katoomba

Place was clean and conveniently located in Katoomba. Host was very helpful and accommodating to an earlier check in. House is old and the dryer doesn’t work very well. Lots of items on display which can easily beBroken so wouldn’t really recommend very young children

Beautiful house in prime location

Lovely 10-sleeper home, just one street away from the main drag of Katoomba, and a 30min walk from Echo Point and the Three Sisters! While the house was definitely more built for winter than summer, it was still a lovely place to stay to celebrate my 21st birthday with my loced ones.

Well located haven

Located close to Katoomba's main shops, this house has generous living areas. Several well presented bedrooms make it suitable for a mid sized group, including kids. Plenty of heating makes it a cozy haven on a cold evening.

Lovely, quaint home

We loved exploring this lovely old property. Every room seemed to hold some beautiful artifacts or furniture, and you never knew what you would find behind the next door! The stairs to the top floor were steep and would not really be suitable for the elderly or for toddlers. The beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets and pillows, and we loved the view over Katoomba from the dining room windows. It is well located, being just a short walk to the centre of town. The communication with the host was great, she kept us up to date with all we needed to know. I would recommend this home to someone not wanting an ultra-modern place to stay, but one that is comfortable and with plenty of character.

Enjoyable stay at Katoomba

The property is very close to the main street of Katoomba. It was a very cold weekend but the property had enough heaters and electric blankets for everyone. We managed to walk to the main street for dinner and breakfast, even though there were cooking facilities in the property. We initially had some login issues with a streaming service but the owner was very responsive and helpful, and the issue was rectified quickly. In summary, it was a very enjoyable weekend for my family.

Misleading listing

The photos make this property look much better than it is. The positives: good shower (though bath needs re-enamelling), generous toiletries in the shower, nice main bedroom, heating and fire work well. The negatives: multiple items not working or broken (kitchen bin lid, sandwich toaster, coffee milk frother), location is on a busy street (might suit some), kitchen very poorly stocked so it’s hard to enjoy cooking (eg blunt knives), if that’s your thing, furniture very poor quality, garden a bit of a mess and unsightly, whole downstairs area just has the feeling of a junk room/attic. Don’t like to be critical. Read all the reviews - most much more positive than this one - and make up your own mind. Personally I felt duped by the listing.
