Fall Gathering

We stayed two nights and everything was great. We had several kids that stayed busy in the hot tub and playing all the games at the house. The adults had some pretty intense foosball games as well. As we were leaving, people in our group were saying that we need to rent it again next year. I would definitely recommend staying here if you have a large group, want to stay at a nice, clean and fun place.

Peaceful Retreat

Our Bible Study group met at The Copper Roost for 4 days over a weekend. Each member had a room and a bath! Well stocked kitchen with a great fire pit and hot tub on the back patio. Inside had plenty of seating for both TV viewing and eating. Shuffle board, foosball, ping pong & game table (complete with games) kept us busy even when it was raining ☔️. Quiet, peaceful and remote. Can’t wait to return!

This place was so fun for my bachelor trip. Enjoyed spending time in the open floor plan with all of the games. Plenty of toilets and showers were a great addition. Plenty of towels in the house worked out great for the large group.

Best Accommodations For a Large Group

We absolutely loved our stay at the Copper Roost. The home is wonderfully appointed and the pictures don’t fully do it justice. The location is very convenient and easy to find. We had 8 adults and two children, and still had room to spare. Our family is already looking forward to booking another stay at the Copper Roost.

Amazing gathering place !

Great location and plenty to do around the area. The home itself accommodated our large group and was great for multi-generations. Plenty of entertainment for all ages and very well stocked with indoor and outdoor games . Brenda is a great host and responded to any questions very promptly.

It was a nice place

When we got there, all air conditioner was off and it was hot in there. It took about a half a day to cool off that was not a good experience. One of the bedroom doors would not close and we had problems with one of the bathrooms downstairs that will not flush it needs a little bit of repairing other than that it’s a real nice place

Graduation / Big Family Get Together

This place was amazing! Lots and lots of space to spread out, the beds were comfortable. There was a maintenance hiccup which they were super quick to respond to and fix. Watching the variety of birds each morning and listening to the kids play foosball and pingpong inside, grilling and relaxing by the fire pit and hot tub. What a life. Thank you for having the place big enough to host such a big family. It is party of memories that we'll talk about for years.

OWNERS - I am giving them a 5 because the owners were quick to respond, answered all questions, and were very accommodating to our needs. The place was beautiful and great for large groups - easy to entertain with everything being wide open. There are also plenty of games and things for kids to do. The outdoor patio is nice. I do wish the bedrooms had TVs and a closet or dresser for clothes.MGMT COMPANY - I would give the property management company a 0 or 1 maybe. They can only be reached M-F and between certain hours, so those who stay on the weekend will not get a response (from management) if you need something. I sent text messages to the mgmt company because the hot tub was not on when we got there, and it was dirty. I also called and left messages because there were no laundry pods but I never got a response about any of my concerns during our stay (from the mgmt company). I had to message the owners through FB messenger, and they responded promptly, apologized, and wanted to make everything right. They seem like wonderful people who truly want their guests to enjoy their stay. I agree with other reviews regarding the mgmt of the property, but please know that with AirBnbs, you always run the risk of something missing, games not having every piece, something not working fully, etc but it is not the owners fault. Unfortunately they have a mgmt company that has failed them. We would definitely stay here again, just be a little more prepared next time.

Great Multi-Family Stay!

Our church group is made of 6 young families and we needed a place to host kids and adults in an intentional space for our annual retreat. The layout was a perfect solution for all of us to be able to hang out and fellowship in common areas, and also worked for having the kiddos go down in the evenings. The back patio and upper patio are awesome, though we did wish the sceptic water wasn't part of the main play area but understand that's country living. The added second refrigerator and pantry like storage as well as the extra games and mattresses and such were an unexpected and welcomed surprise. The seasonal decor made for homey touches. The individual room air units were amazing!It was a little tricky to know we couldn't get a response from the agents except Monday-Thursday, when our stay was Friday-Monday, only an issue when we couldn't find trash bags. Please know the fencing is all barbed wire, there are not railings/walls on one side of each of the 3 staircases, and there are no closets if you plan to stash a baby asleep in the dark, but it didn't pose too much issue for us. We would absolutely stay here again for our annual retreat!

Perfect for a family reunion

This property was perfect for our family reunion. The games kept the kids occupied. The game table was perfect for the older guests. There was plenty of room for meal preparation. There are 2 refrigerators. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. Plus there are multiple restaurants nearby for eating out. Overall, it more than met our needs for the 4 days we were there.

Great space for our family!

Our family really enjoyed the Copper Roost! We stayed the weekend after all the ice so the outside was really wet keeping us inside for the most part, luckily, it has huge spaces comfortably furnished, the kitchen, large dining table and serving island made being inside easy for our group. Everyone enjoyed the games and sitting areas, bedrooms and baths were roomy and perfect. We all agreed it was a great choice for our weekend regardless of the weather and we would absolutely rent it again, best compliment is return guests! Thanks for sharing such a special place with us and being great hosts through out the process!

Small problems add up at this vacation home

Upon arrival, the place was very clean and plenty of parking. The first thing we noticed was there is no cabinet pantry or place to put our bread, snacks, drinks, chips, cookies, canned goods, napkins, plastic cups, paper plates, etc. We were going to be there for 6 nights. We had 8 adults and 9 kids, So there was lots of food items. In the online pics we could see 2 doors next to the kitchen, so we thought one was a closet for food items and one was the downstairs laundry/ bathroom. Wrong! One door did lead to the laundry/ bathroom, but the other door was locked! After several hours of waiting for a response from the management company, about where to store our food items, We were told that closet next to the kitchen was for the cleaning people to use. There were No trash bags to be found, only 4 laundry pods, the ping pong ball was missing, The outdoor games are broken and/or missing pieces. The 2 indoor games are also missing pieces to play, so be sure and bring your own games. The only broom to clean up with is so bent up and out of shape we had to buy another to use. The basketballs for the throwing game all flat except 2, those would actually bounce. One of the worst problems we had was the backyard has aerobic septic system problems. It was constantly muddy and had tons of water puddles everywhere. Children couldn’t play outside at all. Another major problem was the chairs around the table were wobbly and falling apart. You could tell someone had tried to fix them by putting long screws from the outside of the chair. Maybe they need glue too? Mini splits in the individual rooms sound great but they are not so great ! Everyone has to be on the same heat or AC to work. (that should be stated somewhere in the instruction books they provide) That’s nutty! Advertised provided High chair has no front tray and port a crib has no sheets! Management co said it just went missing. Management company is a joke. If they do respond, it’s several hours later and they say, oh we just saw this. Sorry! This could be a really nice place to stay, if it were to be kept up better to reflect what is stated in their advertisements. The owners are actually really nice and accommodating, but that is not reflected by the management company they use!

This was the first planned trip for my cousins and I. And we thoroughly enjoyed the stay at the Copper Roost. Rooms and living quarters were amazing. Nice and quiet scenery. Kitchen was packed with supplies needed for cooking which made things so easy for us.

1st Cousins Trip

This was a nice property. Quiet and relaxing environment. Everything needed was provided. This was the first time our cousins tripped together in 25+ years. Be careful when planning- unable to use hot tub/patio due to rain and cold weather. Breaker ended up not working for us to use patio when no rain.

This was a great place to stay. Just far enough from city to feel away from it all, yet close enough to not have to drive forever to get something to eat or visit casino.
