We followed up with the owner, who would like to clarify the following:- Due to the home’s elevation, nearly 3,000 feet in the Blue Ridge Mountains, WiFi connectivity can occasionally be limited, especially following last year’s storm. We understand the importance of reliable internet and regret that the service did not meet your expectations during your visit.- Although we rely on the best available provider in the area, we are continuing to explore stronger options to improve connectivity for future guests.- As a gesture of goodwill, we have reimbursed $140 for the inconvenience you experienced.Thank you again for sharing your experience. Hi Kativa, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - As with most mountain homes, ours is on a well system and the water has a natural-occurring sulfur smell; however, we recently had a water professional come out and service the current filtration system that we have to help with this issue. We have also had the county come out to test the water as well. We do have a UV light that kills all bacteria in the water so we do know that it is safe to use in the home. - We will be inspecting all of the locks and will fix them accordingly. - Our home is in the mountains in a natural setting there is wildlife, bugs, and insects everywhere. We have taken time to remove all the current webs and honeycombs and will keep an eye on this in the future. - We have changed the schedule of our landscaper and yard person to be more frequent now. - The garage door has been fixed, there had been a power outage between guests. - The AC batteries have been fixed and extra batteries are now available for on the property. We will certainly take this constructive feedback and we will and have made the changes listed above.
