102A Araluen Drive, Hardy’s Bay. 1.5 hours north of Sydney on the Central Coast. Gravel driveway Small pink cottage, 3 small bedrooms, 2 double and one with 2 single beds. Magnificent water view. Large glass enclosed deck to soak in the sunset and enjoy a barbecue. Safe for a dog. Easy walk to restaurants, club and cafes. Kayaks available to hire in the bay. Killcare surf 10 minute walk. Unlimited wifi with smart tv. Block out curtains on bedrooms. Has highchair. No cot. Kitchen with air fryer, microwave, Westinghouse ceramic cooktop & full oven, dishwasher, mixmaster, blender & coffee machine. Air conditioned. Extra blankets. Heater and electric mosquito repellers. Heated towel rack and heated floor in the bathroom. Enclosed hot outdoor shower to wash off after a swim. Children's toys. Plenty of reading material. Games, DVDs, records and old VHS. Electric barbecue. Mosquito zapper. Not suitable for guests with mobility problems as there are two sets of small stairs. Restaurants walking distance and are pet friendly. Beach between Putty and Killcare is pet friendly. Quiet, private, eclectic 1920 fisherman's cottage. Relaxed atmosphere. Dogs must be approved.

Very disappointed with the house. Not advised that the access to the premises was poor. My husband has a bad knee and the uneven rickety stairs were very difficult for him to negotiate. The driveway is no more than a goat track, only usable for small vehicles and difficult to turn around. The house has an uneven floor which means the doors do not close????? The outside shower was exceptionally unstable and the door did not close. The name of the house being the “Pink Nipple” could be very offensive and very over down. Very over rated and very over priced. You are advertising the house with a view, showing no other photos of outside shower etc. I feel that Stays.com should make an effort to view the property because it is not as advertised and we are exceptionally disappointed with the quality of this accommodation as advertised by your organisation.

Rainy weekend away

Had a lovely time in Hardys Bay sampling all the little cafes and restaurants which are very conveniently located to the property. Loved the outdoor shower!

Magic

Our ten day relaxing stay was lovely. Cafes and restaurants are a short scenic stroll, wonderful food and service. Plenty of walking with a short stroll to Killcare to let the dog run and bodysurf. We spent most of our time on the huge balcony overlooking the water. It’s a lovely place to unwind and our pooch just loved it as every second person appears to own a dog.we shall be back in the future.

Great place to stay!

My family and I absolutely loved this house. As description says, it was built a long time ago, however, it is recently renovated and well maintained. There's a lot of character in this place with a vintage feel.Plenty of toys for kids and games for teenagers.Great host who set the place for Xmas celebration, she gave us info about events in the local area during our stay and offered an early check in. I will definitely stay at this house again in the future.

You need to stay here to experience this beautiful little cottage for yourself. It has absolutely everything. It’s a step back in time and such a beautiful spot to unwind. 5 stars all round.

Excellent Area

Hardy's Bay, Killcare is great in some ways and needs a little work in other areas. As portrayed, the kitchen and lounge area are newly renovated and comfortable. Excellent array of equipment and a new electric weber bbq on a very spacious entertainers deck. The bathroom, although newly renovated may not suit everyone as it is only a hot tub. There is a shower outside however due to wet weather it was impossible to shower amongst the mosquitoes. Probably the thing that undoes the good work that the owners put in, are the poor quality of beds and dilapidated cramped rooms that need attention. The main comfortable bed was positioned in the back room and difficult for two people to access. The bed pictured in the front room was too soft for both my husband and I and although there were 2 single beds in the middle room, one of the beds was also too soft therefore my husband slept on the pull out couch, notably most comfortable and I slept in the back room, which was interesting. The driveway and gardens could do with a lot of attention. We chose to drive up the very narrow driveway only to escape the mosquitoes, however all exits required several attempts at reversing. The owner was very attentive and helpful & I think in time this will be a great property however, for my family and I this isn't somewhere I would return to. Overall, good for the price and in an excellent area especially to try out boating and to access many beautiful beaches in this amazing gorgeous area.

Cosy cottage with views!!

We all enjoyed our stay at Hardys Bay. It was a picturesque location and the home was comfortable and well equiped. Loved the large outdoor deck with great views of the bay and had an unforgettable Christmas bbq lunch. Nicely appointed spot and able to park near the cottage.

Perfect for what we needed, super close to the wedding venue. Clean, tidy, great outdoor area and the host Bronwyn is amazing!

Great View and Location for Event we were attending

Property has lovely views. Was clean except for ice tray-for some reason this often occurs . There is an outdoor shower. inside have to attach shower hose to bathtub tap and sit down in tub as there is no curtain. Heated floor was great. No screens on windows or doors, as allergic to mozzies -even though I didn't see any-didn't leave doors open. Stayed 3 nights in Oct 2023

Issues with “shower” as well as electricity going off.

Property has lovely views. Was reasonably clean. There is no proper shower. Have to attach shower hose to bathtub tap and sit down in tub as there is no curtain. The power went off numerous times. It was so hot and the air conditioner stopped working, along with the rest of the power and lights. No gauze on windows or doors, so couldn’t even get fresh air in fear of bugs and mosquitoes.

Awesome location

Quirky cottage, fabulous location, literally steps to the Bay. 5 minutes walk from the local Club for food and drinks. Easy walk to Pretty Beach, couple of minutes drive to Putty Beach. Lovely place to sit and watch the sun go down and join the locals on the grass overlooking the Bay with a cold one. Great host, very accommodating and helpful.

Cute cottage in beautiful Hardys Bay

The location is excellent. It has all the facilities you need. Internet easy to access. The deck is large and shady so we felt safe to leave our bulldog at home. Perfect spot to sit and enjoy the view.

Comfortable and Convenient

The owner took pride in the vintage retro feel of the property, it’s low key and has everything we need. Close to the water and local shops. Nice view from the deck and beautiful beaches are only a short drive away. If you have a low car, it’s probably best to park on-street because the driveway isn’t paved.

Great location.

We had a great family holiday in Hardy’s bay. Practical large deck with a lovely view over the bay. Great we were able to bring our puppy dog.

My husband and I are barristers. We purchased this little fisherman's cottage in 1978 and have made many wonderful memories there. We built a pole home behind and now enjoy giving other families the opportunity to have an affordable holiday in beautiful Hardys Bay.

Original fisherman's cottage in natural bush setting. Contains old time VHS and records. Plenty of reading material and toys for children. Unlimited wifi. Outside heated shower. Underfloor heating in the bathroom. It may not be the Hyatt but it is a special part of paradise.
