Matariki Star suite is a uniquely decorated unit. A 50" smart TV, business table, cozy sofa, and standard kitchen facilities. A conform king bedroom with open wardrobe for business travel or couple short stay. Fresh linens, towels, and amenities are provided.

Free WIFI and a small kitchen for daily use. One unit on end has a ramp and wheelchair accessible entrance, and disability access bathroom.

Lake Tekapo is only three hours drive between Christchurch to Queenstown. Famous for stargazing.

everything you need

great facility with everything that you will need - including a washing machine/dryer which was a real bonus. Great administration team who kept in touch with us and popped in to check we had everything we need. Highly recommended.

Tekapo Stopover

Stayed in Lake Tekapo and planned to do Hooker track early the next morning. Property location good but amenities lacking. Only one washcloth for 2 adults for 2 nights. Lots of large group tourists in surrounding areas. Felt like sprawling hostels. Very noisy.

Tekapo

The unit is very quiet and very new, exceptionally clean and warm with a lovely bathroom and a kitchen included in the living area separate from the bedroom. The kitchen contained a fridge, microwave, and two element cooktop. This meant we could cook our dinner and not have to go out. There was no view of the lake and not really a view of the mountains. Parking is a little tricky and the first night we parked on the street and someone else's van was parked directly in front of the ranch slider of our unit. I like a firm flat bed and so did not like the bed. My husband had no problem with it.

Apartment was okay, tidy and clean, but the furniture was old and the vinyl cover on the sofa kept rubbing off and attaching to the clothes. Bathroom lacked a simple shelf over the sink to be able to store toileteries.

Suited our needs

After our previously booked accommodation cancelled on us, we booked here. For what we paid, it was very basic in comparison to the other homes we've stayed on our holiday.

Cozy, quiet place

We stayed one night in Lake Tekapo and enjoyed staying in our Matariki suite. We were in the middle suite (B) and the place provided everything we needed for an overnight stay. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great (includes a towel warming rack!). Parking is a bit tricky the way the driveway is laid out but manageable especially if you back in.Nice neighborhood to walk around and star gaze without the crowds.

Great Stay Near Lake Tekapo

The place was very comfortable with modern appliances. Washer was a plus. The place was near the lake and with restaurants nearby. Check in and check out was easy. The host provided clear instructions. We enjoyed our stay.

It was more than a walk to restaurants, but lovely clean and quiet. Check in was easy and the couch was made up. I received multiple messages which while helpful was confusing as they were over multiple platforms.
