Perfect Gateway Near Beautiful Torch Lake

We had a great stay at the Cortina Condo! The place was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Karen was such a thoughtful host; she responded quickly to any questions and even put together a wonderful binder full of helpful information about the condo and the area. It made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to unwind and enjoy northern Michigan!

Great place to stay!

We love this location for a fall color tour. Condo was clean and well stocked. Owner has excellent communication skills and made sure our stay was outstanding!

Pleasent visit

The condo was as represented. The beds are comfortable, and the place is in a quiet area. The shower has good water pressure. We were here on a guy's golf trip, we did not use the grill, or stove, we ate lunch and dinner out. We only ate breakfast at the condo and the toaster oven works great. We used it for bagels and heating up left over pizza. Only potential concern is the fridge is a little small, if you were going to be here for more than a few days and plan to cook in the condo, I would suggest bringing a cooler. I assume most of these units', the kitchens are set-up the same way at Schuss. When is the area again, we would stay at this unit if available.

Great Ski Condo

The property is perfect. Right across the parking lot to the ski lift. The pool and hot tub are right across the parking lot too. Condo was very clean and cozy!

The place was very clean! The area is quiet. She has a basket of booklets of ideas of places to see and eat plus a few goodies. If you have any issues (but you won't) or questions she is very easy to get a hold of. I highly recommend this place.

Great condo, excellent location!

Stayed at this condo for a ski weekend, we found it very conveniently located just a short walk from the slopes, Ivan's, and the lift ticket office. The condo was stocked with everything we needed, plus a few welcome goodies which was really nice. It was very clean! The second bedroom was a tight squeeze, but there's extra storage in the main bedroom. Communication with the owner was easy, as was check in and check out. Wonderful place to stay!

Perfect Summer Trip

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay very much! The condo was perfect size and layout. The bunk beds for kids were a treat. Very clean and kept well for a comfortable stay. The option for pools was also very convenient with the kiddos. Karen is a wonderful host and gave plenty of ideas for fun in the surrounding areas. We will be back!

Perfect location and little extras that made life easier .

Wonderful weekend at Schuss thanks to this perfect condo. Great communication from the owner, Ski-in/out ease, comfortable beds, and it was well-stocked with dishes, cookware and the little extras like aluminum foil, dish soap and cooking spray that are often forgotten. The thoughtfulness that went into making the stay easy and comfortable for guests is clear. Looking forward to visiting again in a few weeks!

Property was very clean and it was very quiet! She even gives you a basket full of recommendations of places to visit and eat along with some treats. We didn't have any issues but if we did it was nice to know she was easy to get ahold of.

This is an excellent condo to stay at in Shanty Creek. kids could walk to the slopes. Its on the main level, no steps. The room is broke up nicely for several guests. Wood was there for fireplace. All utensils and things you need. Will be back!

I want to start by saying that the property owner Karen was top notch! She was attentive, kind, and incredibly accommodating. There were a few glitches for our family. The listing shows a photo of an outdoor pool and also lists it as an amenity. There was no outdoor pool. This was a HUGE disappointment for us. While it may sound silly, it was actually one of the main things that drew us to this property in the first place. When asking about it, we were told that the photo should have been removed. At 9:30pm our first night ( a Friday) while watching a movie, a maintenance man, with a cigarette hanging from his mouth, blowing smoke into the living room, asked from the open window next to us “can you close the window, I don’t want you to get the paint fumes” We were startled and confused, but closed the window. Turns out he was painting the window trim. At 9:45pm. On a Friday. Let Karen know, she also was shocked and let the resort know. ( Again, not her fault) Because it was so nice we had turned the AC off and opened windows that night to sleep. When we woke up the condo smelled like very strong cat pee. Starting to almost feel badly, I texted Karen yet again… she apologized profusely and offered someone to come right away, which we declined. She did refund our cleaning fee though and that was greatly appreciated and she was going to have her cleaning crew come in and clean the carpets after our check out.

Awesome stay

This condo was great. It was clean and had everything we needed. The condo is very warm and cozy with the fireplace. Just steps from the ski slopes. Hot tub and pool right across the parking lot. Lots of skiing and family time making memories!

Perfect family ski weekend!

My family of five loved our stay at this home! The location is ideal as a base camp for a family ski trip with a short walk across a parking lot to the pink lift. Upon arrival we were happy to find the entire home was clean, comfortable, and my kids loved the fact that there was a thoughtfully prepared welcome basket. We will definitely check this location when we return to ski Schuss.

Nice place with a great view!

The condo fit our family of four just perfectly! We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The indoor fireplace and patio (with tabletop fire feature) was a bonus. There were extra touches like the snacks left for us. The owner was very helpful to answer questions and was very responsive. We would stay again.

Wonderful location!

We had a great weekend get-away at this condo. The owner provided a lot of extras that most owners do not. We did not need anything! She also gave us great recommendations of things to do in the area. I would definitely recommend this condo for couples!

Sweet Condo for family with young kiddos

This condo is great for a family with small kiddos. You are a walk across the street from the indoor pool and the neighborhood is great for walks and play. We drank coffee on the patio in the morning and had dinner around the table in the evening. It’s a short drive to all the beautiful lakes here in Michigan. We had dinner at The Pelican, Torch Lake Cafe, Toonies and ordered pizza from The Pizza Shop. My only suggestion is to study the area beforehand to plan you days. Everything is a little drive, especially with little ones. Karen was great and available with any questions - which provided great ease. Wonderful trip! Thanks again for opening up your place to us!

Nice getaway

Condo was super clean, comfortable and good proximity to lots of “up north” destinations. Enjoyed access to all pools in the 3 Shanty Creek villages, deck overlooking golf course was great for morning coffee and evening family time. Owner was great & responsive.
