Historic Woodbine Cottage

Built in the late 1800's, as a cottage by H. Ramsay, a local merchant. This was to be his summer residence. Lovingly restored by it's current owners, this home offers three bedrooms, two full baths and air conditioning for your holiday enjoyment. Located in the beautiful region of Tyne Valley the cottage is a peaceful and comfortable getaway for the traveler who wants the perfect island experience. Close to restaurants, golfing, beaches and parks. Cavendish and Charlottetown are only a light commute away. We have added a new outdoor hot tub for you to use during your stay. We hope you enjoy your stay with us, if there is anything that you might need, we are only minutes away. We look forward to your visit!!

We absolutely loved our stay. I would suggest block-out blinds in the besroom so you could run the air-conditioner without the curtains pulled in front of it. Bigger mirror in up-stairs bathroom. We loved how well appointed the kitchen was. A wonderful rental. Thanks

Woodbine Cottage was an absolute dream! A beautiful home & property, where everything to make a guests stay was thought of...from lobster tools, assorted different teas, games, books, backyard bbq area & hot tub, so many amenities I can't list them all! I highly recommend this cottage and would definitely book it again should we return to PEI in the future!

Perfect Getaway

We wanted an opportunity to explore the western side of PEI, celebrate a couple of family occasions, and simply unplug from busy lives. The Woodbine Cottage provided us the perfect setting for achieving all of this.The house was wonderful: clean, well-equipped, quiet, and convenient to the places we wanted to visit. Since our arrival was later than originally planned, I was initially concerned that it might be difficult to find, and difficult to enter in the dark. However, Jon left some lights on for us and the check-in process was so easy that I had no reason to worry. Throughout our stay, he was very responsive to our every question, and also offered suggestions for places to visit and shop.We cooked several of our meals at the house, and were happy to find that the kitchen is well-stocked with all the cookware that one might need. It really made us feel like we had transported our home to PEI for the week. Although the drives to various places we visited were typically 30-45 minutes, we really enjoyed having that time to enjoy the scenery, and the bountiful wildflowers everywhere, especially lupine. Waking up in the morning to sunshine and bird calls was a special treat for a family of city-dwellers!Overall, our experience during our stay on PEI was memorable and relaxing— a perfect getaway for all of us, made possible by this charming house situated in a rural paradise. I highly recommend the Woodbine Cottage to others who may be looking for a place to unwind!

Perfect Getaway

When we arrived and walked in I knew I had found the perfect cottage for our trip to PEI. We loved the history of the home, the grounds and farm fields surrounding it, and of course the hot tub. We were able to do all things “Anne” and then some and this was a relaxing retreat to come back to. Owner was very kind and very responsive. We would highly recommend this place!

Vacances parfaites dans un endroit parfait.

Merci kim et Jon de nous avoir partagé cette magnifique propriété. Nous avons pu y créer des moments inoubliables avec nos 3 enfants . Cet endroit est paisible et nous avons tout aimé de cette jolie demeure décoré avec goût. Le café le matin, les enfants qui courent sur le grand terrain, la vue, les livres d’histoire sur la maison, etc.

Wonderful house

The house is located in the less touristy west side of the island. There isnplenty to do in the area. The house itself is very clean. The kitchen has everything you need. We had a wonderful time and feel this place should get 5 star rating. Jon commented with us promptly prior to checkbin and afterwards. We highly recommend.

Awesome experience

The cottage was a three bedroom, two bathroom character farmhouse that was spectacularly set up for guests. It has all of the expected items for cooking and enjoying the house - and more. The house was super clean and the bedding was beautiful, comfortable, and plentiful. The bed was super comfortable and the quilt was warm and inviting. We were a couple but the place has room for a large extended family or three couples. Lovely! Although we were there in late April, the home was perfect for our needs and allowed us to easily tour the west and north of PEI. Jon was very available and responded to emails every quickly. Loved it! Highly recommend!

Adult family time

We totally enjoyed our stay away. Clean, quiet, and was perfect for a family get together! Altho a distance away from the centre of the island we loved the privacy and quaintness of the area. The owners have thought of every detail and modern convenience in a historical residence with appealing decor!!!
