Imagine yourself waking up in BelAmour. You quietly leave the comfy king-size bed, walk to the bay window, and push away the curtain. Your husband stirs a bit in the bed, while the soft Caribbean morning light penetrates into the bedroom.
From the window, you have a glimpse of the spectacular view over the Caribbean sea, the northwestern coast of St Barts, and the nearby islets of Bonhomme and Chevreau. In the background, over the stretch of seawater, you can see the very hilly St Martin and the very flat Anguilla. As the villa is cliffside right above the sea, you feel like being in the cabin of a luxurious cruise ship and, at the same time, on board a private jet.
You walk past the dressing room and put a featherlight robe on. You slide open the wooden door and enter the living room. On your left, your eyes wander past the sofas to contemplate the pool and the sea beyond it. On your right, you look past the dinner table in the patio to admire once more the mural painting. It is called “Miracle of Love” and has been designed by French fashion designer and artist Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, exclusively for you and for the very few who get to stay at BelAmour.
You walk into the kitchen, make yourself an espresso and you go outside, to the deck, by the pool. All is quiet, the soft sea breeze is like a caress on your skin. You can see and hear the waves crashing at the feet of the villa, 100 feet blow. This is just you enjoying a perfect morning. The high walls of the villa make this experience very private.
You decide to leave the villa for 5 minutes, just to walk a bit around the quiet neighborhood of Pointe Milou. The sun is rising over the sea, at the east. You contemplate the sunrise, rested, and happy.
You finish your coffee and walk back into BelAmour, close the mysterious red door that separates the villa from the outside world. You hear the water running in the shower. You decide to join your husband to give a great start to this new romantic day in BelAmour.

GENEROUS OPEN-CONCEPT LIVING ROOM / POOL / PATIO IN A PRIVATE VILLA
When couples come and visit St. Barths, they often end up choosing a hotel room, as there are only a few luxury 1-bedroom villas on the island. Yet, no 5-star hotel can provide the private experience of your own special villa.
Another big difference is the space available for your couple: instead of a small hotel bedroom with a tiny sofa, BelAmour offers you a generous space.
First, the open concept living room, patio and pool has a contemporary yet welcoming vibe. Perfect for relaxing as a couple and also for entertaining a few guests, the space features large sofas for 6, a coffee table, and a TV (US satellite TV + Apple TV).
To immerse yourself in the soft St. Barths light, you can slide open the large bay windows that separate the living room from the pool. Bring outside in by making disappear the windows and their frames. You will then enjoy romantic sunsets on the sea, with clouds over St. Martin taking spectacular, yet always different, colors every evening.
The space feels even bigger with the patio, which is an extension to the living room. Thanks to a state of the art rooftop, you can open the roof of the patio, leave closed, and let the light and the breeze flow in as much as you want.
Colorful items like cushions adorned by Jean-Paul Gaultier fabric and tableware from acclaimed Balinese ceramics maker Jengala add a sensual undertone to the contemporary architecture.
Candlelight dinners in the patio are very romantic.

HAND-PAINTED MURAL PAINTING BY JC DE CASTELBAJAC
The wall of the patio features a wonderful mural painting by French fashion designer and artist Jean-Charles de Castalbajac. I had invited him to BelAmour as an artist in residency.
Inspired by the romantic atmosphere, he decided to create an amazing, unique, large hand-painted mural designed on the theme of love.

ROMANCE AND CHARM IN THE BEDROOM
I have conceived the large space connecting the bedroom, the bathroom, and the dressing area so that you can feel sexy: Dress, undress, spend a passionate night, take a beauty sleep, enjoy a nice shower with upscale toiletries while looking at the sea.
I live part of the year in Bali and the bedroom is really where the Balinese influence is the strongest. I used a lot of wood and stone from Indonesia and had the bed shipped from Bali to St. Barths.
The bedroom and the bathroom merge into one big space, open on the sea thanks to large bay windows that can disappear in the walls of the villa.
From the large, comfy bed, you have a privileged view on the sea, on the nearby islets, and on St. Martin. The villa was thought out so that when you are in the shower, when you are near the sinks or when you are in bed, you can still enjoy the sea view.
The shower is large enough for 2 and has a convenient little bench that you can use for all kinds of things. There are 2 sinks, that I got made in Bali just for the villa.
The bedroom also has a side window overlooking the pool and a small desk where you can put your iPad or your sun hat.
The dressing area is directly connected to the bedroom. All made in wood from Bali, it enables you to store your fabulous evening wear for a night in Gustavia's trendiest places, as well as your favorite summer clothes.

WIFI: WORK HARD, PLAY HARD
Between the Bedroom and the Living Room, I have set up my personal office. Feel free to use my desk, my computer, and my printer if you really have to work while on vacation. Sometimes, it makes your vacation less stressful if you can keep an eye on your business, and I understand this.
The wifi connection is the 3rd fastest on the island. I know that guests like you want the best, so I have set up a dedicated internet signal to the villa.
You can also use this strong wifi connection to play; for instance, you can watch movies on the AppleTV or stream your favorite fitness workouts on your iPad.

A FEAST OF THE SENSES IN THE KITCHEN
You can make what you want of the kitchen. I know that some couples never cook in St. Barths, as they are too busy sampling the wonderful restaurants of the island. For them, the only really vital thing in the kitchen is the Nespresso machine.
On the other hand, some couples use their time on this French island to buy great ingredients at the local supermarket and prepare wonderful dinners. They can use the 2 ovens (regular and micro-wave, the gas cooker, the multiple cooking utensils). As this is my real home in St. Barths, you can be sure to find here all the plates that a Frenchman think are necessary for a decent kitchen.
Take the time to prepare a nice meal, set up the table in the patio, light on the candles, turn off the lights, and enjoy the start of a very romantic evening in BelAmour.

PRIVACY AND ROMANCE BY THE POOL
Thanks to its high walls, BelAmour offers maximum privacy. Feel free to relax on the deck, to cuddle on the bench, and to skinny dip in the 12-meters long pool.
Get into the relatively deep pool and look at the sea straight in front of you. On your left, you can the bay of St Jean. On your right, it is the blue ocean.
Have your spouse serve you a cocktail by the pool while you contemplate the sunset. This is the perfect occasion to strengthen the bonds of your relationship.

SERVICES: BE STRESS-FREE, FOCUS ON YOUR HAPPINESS
When you book the villa, you and I will exchange a few emails where you will be able to let me know about your trip. For instance, I will ask you whether you are coming to celebrate something and how I can help.
We follow strict enhanced cleaning protocols and guidelines. We pay specific attention to high-touch surfaces, linens, towels, and to the bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen areas. We usually provide daily cleaning services from Sandra, our very professional and reliable villa manager. If you wish so, we can arrange for her to either come at her normal frequency (with the relevant personal protections), to come less during the week, or to come only when you are not present at the villa (which has always been the case, as privacy has been our motto).
On your arrival day, my team can wait for you at the airport, show you the way to BelAmour and introduce the house. Our personal welcome is already contact-less but we can also arrange a complete self-check-in and check-out experience. I am also happy to arrange your car rental or to stock up your fridge.
