Perfect location for a fishing trip

Private, safe and clean. The house met all of our needs. Laurie was great and answered all of my questions. Very good place.

Great place to rest up from a long fishing day on Ray Roberts

Comfortable and good water pressure for showers/laundry. Privacy for those who like a nice retreat.

Get away from noise of city

This a little pice of haven on Texas a beautiful place Very quiet, a real break from the city and of course, the ranch is spectacular, Laurei is a great person, she gave us a tour of the stables, it was incredible, thanks to this whole family, we definitely recommend this great place, thank you so much

Great Place

Everything was just as described. Perfect place to get away from the city life. Nice and quiet. Huge gated yard if you want to bring your dog. And plenty of other places within driving distance if you want to go on hikes or just walk around by the lake. Huge thank you to the host.

Graduation Weekend

We were in town for our grandson’s HS graduation. The little cabin was perfect for us. The inside was spacious with all the amenities we needed. Outside was wonderful with a full front porch, plenty of seating, overlooking a large fenced in lawn area for our dogs to run and grands to play. There is an outdoor BBQ for hamburgers and a fire pit area for making s’mores or roasting hotdogs with the kids. Surrounded by a working ranch and beautiful countryside. The cabin is very near Lake Ray Roberts. Bicycles were provided and covered parking.

Absolutely wonderful! It was wonderful. Our first time in Texas and it was an absolute joy! The host was lovely and let my niece feed the baby goat and cows and sit on a horse. Definitely recommend everyone stays here on their next stop in Texas. Thank you so much so the stay! We will be booking again soon!

Wonderful!!!

Clean and well stocked. All single beds was a little weird with me and the husband. The fenced in front yard was AWESOME! We really enjoyed our stay and wished it was longer. Communication with host was great. Would definitely recommend for a quiet getaway.

Peaceful Retreat with Stunning Views and Comfortable Luxury

Our stay at this VRBO house was absolutely perfect! The home was impeccably clean, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The beds were incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night’s sleep after our days of exploring. One of the highlights was the stunning view—picturesque landscapes as far as the eye could see. We also loved spending time with the beautiful horses on the property, who were clearly well cared for and added such a peaceful and charming touch to the experience. This property is truly a gem!

A Great place near the Lake

The Cabin is fantastic. Its quiet , private. very clean. surrounded by a beautiful North Texas countryside. Cabin is perfect for 2-4 guests. it was stocked with fresh towels and linens upon our arrival. The Host is very gracious and the communication was outstanding. 5 stars all the way around

Second time here! We love it!

We stayed at The Texas Countryside Retreat for a second time. The setting is idyllic and relaxing. There are beautiful horses, sheep and goats grazing in paddocks around the cabin. It is very quiet and peaceful. It is nice retreat from the bustling traffic and activity of the greater Dallas area. The cabin was comfortable. It has all the amenities needed to cook our meals, relax on a comfy sofa, or sit on the front porch with our coffee in the morning. The property manager responds to questions quickly. I definitely recommend this property. I would stay again.

Wonderful secluded weekend with our pups!

This house was a perfect place to get away and functioned as home base for us for an out of town tennis tournament. The beds (4 twin beds - 2 in each spacious bedroom) were very comfortable. The living room was cozy and relaxing. The little kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils, coffee maker, toaster, oven/stovetop, microwave oven, air fryer and a barbecue gas grill outside. We cooked and enjoyed several meals there. The fenced-in front yard was a wonderful and safe place for our dogs to play and roam. The horses all around the ranch were beautiful and so peaceful. I wish we had more time to explore and go for a bike ride. It was relaxing to sit on the front porch drinking coffee while watching the horses and letting our dogs roam in the yard. The host was very responsive and answered questions immediately. I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.

Excellent cabin in the country

We had to spend 3 nights away from our home in Frisco due to ongoing renovations. We were fortunate to find this cabin. It's a 2 bedroom, with a living room, dining room and kitchen. There are two window a/c units that kept the cabin nice and cool. The yard is spacious and fenced so our dogs did not have to be leashed. The property is by itself, very quiet. The porch was nice to sit in and chat. We walked in the mornings and biked (bikes were on the property) in the evenings. The owner communicated with us proactively and was easy to reach. There were snacks provided that we were able to take advantage of. Excellent stay, and I'd love to visit again.
