Martin is great host and extremely gracious and responsive. The home is well-appointed and our group of 8 felt very comfortable in his house (we used the rollout couch for two teens). The view is incredible. Even in frigid temperature the temperature inside the home is nicely regulated and cozy. The kitchen is equipped with pots and pans, toaster, serving utensils and bowls, and all you need for a group like ours. Bring your own cooking oil, seasoning, coffee, portable coffee maker / brewing method. We liked that Martin even supplies the electric kettle. Perfect for tea, coffee, and oatmeal.You may wish to bring your own personal shampoo and body wash. And regular supplies are plentiful. If you forget anything? No worries, as a nice market is only half a mile away!We came here for a ski trip and the home is a great base for us. We are looking forward to another trip back here so we can stay at Martin’s place.

Host was communicative. Place was extremely comfortable and well stocked and clean.There is a beautiful view of the mountain, as well.Very close to both Mansonville and Owls head and close to the main road. A great winter spot. Thank you Martin

Nous avons passé un très beau séjour au chamalow grillé. La résidence est très spacieuse pour accomoder confortablement 8 personnes. L’emplacement pour le feu de camp a été très apprécié. Toutefois, le mobilier de table et chaises d’extérieur est un peu bancal et bénéficierait d’être amélioré pour accueillir confortablement 8 personnes à manger à l’extérieur.

Exactement ce qu'on recherchait, un endroit calme, propre avec toutes les commodités pour cuisiner de bons repas tous ensemble. La terrasse sur le toit et le foyer extérieur furent très appréciés. Un 5 étoiles à notre hôte. On va remettre ça !

Township Wedding

My wife, daughter, son and their spouses and I booked for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding in the area. The house was fantastic ! We had a great stay at the the Grilled Chamalow. The property was easy to find, clean and exactly as described. We had the equipment needed to cook and keep up with the home. Plenty of room for family time and privacy. The many windows in the living room created a relaxing location to read or put a puzzle together. Town was very limited with groceries so plan ahead. Owners communicated well and were responsive. We had a great time for the three days we stayed.

Great spot — perfect for entertaining

We booked this place for the weekend for a friend’s wedding. Lovely spot with nice views, especially in fall. It was secluded enough to allow us some privacy, but close enough to town (20-minute walk, quick drive). Great communication. Many items were provided. Only minor thing was that the BBQ wasn’t working and we were warned of this by the host on the day of, which was fine for us since we hadn’t planned to use it, but if you’re planning to use it, it might be worth asking about when booking. Otherwise no complaints!
