Cool and cosy shack with private lake

This cool and cosy shack is a typical house of the small rural village of Bolton West that has been entirely renovated for a confortable getaway. It just outside of the beautiful town of Lac Brome/Knowlton.

The property features a fantastic private lake with a large deck and floating raft/island.

There are also many acres of trails for hiking around the lake and further in the woods/mountain around that are private to our guests.

Mid-week Trip

We stayed at the cabin for 3 nights Monday-Thursday. We had an amazing time with our dog, who especially loved the private pond. The location is amazing, and the home itself is very clean and has everything you need for a great stay. Highly recommend!

This is a wonderful house, and we had a terrific week. The lake is gorgeous, even though it was too cold to swim. Just sitting on the dock was a treat.

This is a wonderful place. Clean, renovated and with a well furnished kitchen. Plenty of space to sit or move around. Trails in the backyard and a pond with kayaks, paddle boat,paddle board and canoe. Life jackets furnished. We took walks, enjoyed the village of Knowlton close .loved our trip. The owner is quick to respond and very helpful

Relaxing Getaway Location

This spot worked out perfectly for us (two couples). Location was perfect for our visit to Knowlton. Not fancy, but very cozy. Beds and linens comfortable, kitchen well-quipped, and seating dining rooms ample. Bonus to have outdoor seating and BBq and access to a pond! Exactly as described!

Cozy Cottage

A quaint cottage with notable upgrades which makes it the perfect stay away from home. There was plenty of room for 5 adults, their ski gear, and enough space for groceries to feed 3 hungry 20 year olds!! The cottage was centrally located and felt very comfortable.

Clean and comfortable property for two couples. Two new and modern full bathrooms, well equipped kitchen and beautiful property with a little lake and trails to explore. Very close to Lac Brôme. This was our second d stay here and well be back!

Ski vacation in Eastern Townships

We selected the cottage based on central proximity to the 4 Eastern Township ski hills. It worked perfectly as all hills were 25-30 mins away with Knowlton being only a few miles away to accomodate all our shopping. The cottage provided everything we needed, and we quickly felt very much at home. The home was clean, very spacious for all our ski stuff, and the kitchen was well appointed with every gadget imaginable. I definitely recommend the property.

Three of us, all women, all older. The house was perfect for us. Fully and extremely well equipped kitchen. Comfortable places to sit in the evening, all nicely furnished. Three bedrooms, two baths, all comfortable and suited us perfectly. The lake has kayaks, paddle board, nice seats, peaceful spot for reading, and some good short walks from the house. Knowlton a lovely little town. The Relais restaurant was excellent. Otherwise, the area was fun to explore and Knowlton made a fine central point. Wine country. Two weeks of artist open studios with really fine work, walks, beautiful flowers, a great farmer's market on Saturday. A really good week in a super country and a delightful host. I will return. Thank you Martin for everything.

Expectations were met

I wanted a place where my dog could run freely and play in a lake. I got both. The house is well renovated and comfortable ( the best bed is the one on the second floor on your left 😉). The small private lake is wonderful and has lots of toys to enjoy nautical activities. The only drawback is the noise from frequent truck traffic from the main road(30meters from the house), trucks going back and forth in neighbouring sandpit. The way to avoid that is to just spend time at the beautiful lake.

We had a fantastic stay! The kitchen is so well equipped and spacious. We enjoyed preparing our meals together. Very clean and welcoming. Centrally located and a grocery store is about 5 minutes away in Knowlton. The layout of the space was quite comfortable. The access to the lake on the property was also a bonus. All in all this property covered all that we needed for a relaxing and restorative weekend.

Propreté des lieux parfait et environnement charmant. par contre le chalet se trouve trop près de l'autoroute et malheureusement a côté d une carrière. Donc pas aussi silencieux que souhaité!! J 'ai tout de même apprécié mon séjour. Merci au propriétaire de nous avoir permis d'habiter chez eux pour qlq jours.

Beau séjour!

Nous avons passé un beau séjour dans ce chalet. Le lac est vraiment chouette et privé! Le chalet était propre et confortable. Les communications avec le propriétaire étaient rapides et courtoises. La seule chose que je n'ai pas apprécié, c'est la proximité de la route.
