North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.

Skyline and Superdome views set the backdrop for this Mid-City home, where five bedrooms spread across a bright, airy layout give large groups room to spread out and settle in. With cooler evenings settling over New Orleans this time of year, the private balcony becomes a quiet spot to watch the city lights come on, while the fenced backyard and covered patio offer shelter for guests who still want to spend time outside without the summer heat.

Sleeping arrangements
Each of the five bedrooms comes with fresh linens and bed sheets, comfortably accommodating up to ten guests. Three and a half bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and fresh towels, with a hairdryer on hand for getting ready. Room-darkening blinds, hangers, a walk-in wardrobe, additional wardrobe and chest of drawers, and an in-room safe round out the sleeping quarters.

Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is fitted with a Frigidaire stainless steel gas cooker, oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, filter coffee maker, and toaster, along with cooking basics, crockery and cutlery, wine glasses, and a baking sheet. Gather around the dining table for shared meals, or carry your coffee out to the balcony to take in the city skyline view.

Living & entertainment
The living space features a 32-inch HDTV with Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, Netflix, and Roku, plus a dedicated workspace in its own room for anyone who needs to stay connected. Board games and life-size games keep things lively for groups of any age, and a travel cot with sheets provided, along with a folding or convertible high chair with a food tray, are available on request for families traveling with little ones. Babysitter recommendations can be arranged as well.

Outdoor living
Step out to the fully fenced back garden and covered patio, furnished with outdoor seating for relaxing in the crisp fall air. A private entrance and free parking on premises, plus free on-street parking, make coming and going simple.

Laundry & essentials
An in-unit washer and dryer are available at no extra cost, along with cleaning products and essentials like soap and toilet paper. Central air conditioning, ceiling fans, and central heating keep the home comfortable as the seasons shift. Self check-in with a smart lock makes arrival easy, and cleaning is available during your stay.

Location
This Mid-City home sits near the Endymion parade route, the Canal Streetcar line, Trader Joe's, and the Lafitte Greenway. A launderette is also nearby for longer stays, and stays of 28 days or more are welcome.
