Skiers & Riders Paradise. Our inviting space was designed to provide the cozy feel of a ski cabin with modern amenities and aesthetics. 2 Bedroom/2 full bath modern mountain cabin + loft located in beautiful Rossland, BC. Just steps from Red Mountain Resort, walk to some of the best skiing in North America then enjoy après drinks and a quiet evening by the warmth of our cozy fireplace. When the property isn't blanketed in snow, guests can ride over 200 miles of mountain bike trails. Relax post ride and enjoy the views of Granite Mountain from the front deck or grill up dinner on the back patio.

Convenient entry way with built in bench allows you to remove and store your ski/snowboard gear away from the main living space. Radiant floors throughout the house open up to an open concept living room, spacious custom kitchen and comfortable dining area.

Large north facing doors/windows and vaulted ceilings provide natural light and epic views towards Granite Mountain. Custom wood stairs from the main living area lead to a 200 sqft., 2nd story loft that affords additional space for reading, relaxing or giving kids a space of their own to sleep and play.

(2) bedrooms each have a queen bed and their own full bathrooms. Private master ensuite bath offers a customized walk-in shower.

Step out of the living room onto a large front deck or enjoy a bit more seclusion on the back patio. The property does share the back yard and driveway with a detached garage that contains a studio apartment with full time tenants.

Kitchen has all the utensils, cookware and staples you need to make your meal planning and preparation convenient and easy. Coffee fanatics will appreciate their choice of a traditional coffee maker, french press or aeropress to craft the perfect cup before a day on the slopes. Complimentary selection of herbal teas and often local coffee from Seven Summits Coffee Company.

Great place to be

Well stocked, beautifully appointed and a terrific place to hang out while skiing at Red. Very spacious and comfortable. Great kitchen. Comfy beds and in a quiet neighbourhood just a short stroll to the lifts.

Modern, clean unit. Mostly well equipped kitchen. Close to lifts though walking would be an effort. Isolated quiet enclave. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Nice loft with limited privacy and must share one of the bathrooms We’d book again.

Fantastic

Very modern and beautiful house that is fully equipped. Communications with host were perfect. Would definitely consider staying again. One point I’d like to elaborate on is the location. We saw the distance to red mountain explained in prior reviews and those were on point. One aspect I wasn’t sure about ahead of time was whether the route to walk to the mountain was busy with traffic. What we found was that the road to walk to the mountain was very quiet with a car passing once every few minutes, so we found it to be a relatively easy walk, and that’s how we went skiing each day

Great little house walking distance to lifts

Very clean and bright home within walking distance to Red base area. Kitchen had what we needed for cooking living area was comfy with tv and gas fireplace ( could use 1 more comfy chair). We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Red Mountain Scandi Cabin

Caldera Cabin is a beautifully designed home just 800 m from Red Mountain resort . Very modern ski cabin surrounded by woods . Fabulous kitchen lounge area to relax around the cosy fire . 2good sized bedrooms with their own ensuites , comfy beds . Upstairs mezzanine for morning yoga .Quiet , peaceful location . We had a wonderful stay . Great skiing & good restaurants in Rossland Thankyou Ryan and Kate

Top notch rental. Clean and quiet. Perfect location to to head to the trails or into Rossland. Would rent again in a heartbeat!

Fabulous!

The home is stunning! It’s very new and modern and everything is upscale. High ceilings make it feel very spacious. Lots of beautiful wood finishing /beams. The kitchen is well appointed with high end appliances. The perfect spot for a summer getaway or a winter ski escape!

Fishing trip

We enjoyed the property and location. Close to Rossland with several very good restaurants. Good hiking close by. When we were there it was 100 degrees F. No air conditioning. It did cool down at night but when we opened up windows with no screens, we had a bug problem.

Great getaway

The property is beautiful and in a great location, close to Red Mountain. It is very quiet (summer visit), so relaxing, but a quick drive into town to pick up anything you need and go to the restaurants or brewery. The furnishings were really comfortable and our teenage sons loved having their own rooms (bedroom and loft). Highly recommend and hope to return again soon.

Rossland Cabin June 2022

This was an excellent place to stay for a week, while celebrating our granddaughter's graduation from high school and visiting with other family members. The cabin was perfect for 2 couples and one 9-year-old child. It was immaculately clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Great place to stay!

Wonderful "cabin" (really a beautiful new home)

Beautiful home, wonderfully stocked kitchen (great knives and various coffee options - important things to me), bed was comfortable, excellent hiking trails nearby. This property would be great for all seasons :-)

This is one of the best places I stayed. Beautiful house. Extremely comfortable beds. Great shower in the Master. Good coffee maker. Location is convention to Red Resort and town. Took a bit of skill to navigate the TV. Loved every minute staying at Modern Cabin.

Beautiful, super clean

Absolutely lovely accommodations, very light airy and spacious. Enjoyed the closeness to Red mountain slopes and rossland for dinner. Cooked one night inside and had everything we needed. Quiet area and comfortable beds. Hope to stay longer next year.

@Calderacabin was built in 2021 and our goal is to create a unique place that captures the essence and energy of the mountain lifestyle while acting as a thoughtfully designed basecamp for the activities that inspire us to live, visit and play in these areas.
