WALK TO TOWN! This impeccably decorated home is one of the few vacation homes truly in town, only a short stroll to Highlands Main Street and a few feet from Harris Lake!

Linger in the western North Carolina mountainside while enjoying a true five star experience!

A three bedroom en-suite home freshly built with thoughtful touches and high end finishes, this home features two king bed bedrooms, and a twin bedroom with two twin beds all with en-suite bathrooms. Privacy galore! The kitchen is extensively equipped with Kitchen-aid appliances and detailed for any level of cooking you may desire!

Overlooking a creek, you have the best of both worlds! Enjoy the porch while sipping your evening beverage of choice, watching the sun set over the running creek, and start up the NEW propane fire table! With the proximity of town, you can stroll home after your evening of dining, theater, hiking or enjoying the music at the park! This is the home you will want to secure for each vacation ongoing!

*This home has stairs to the upstairs bedrooms. Handrails and lighting are provided however this home may not be appropriate for those with mobility issues or physical limitations.

Fantastic home in Highlands. Three great BR, all with own bathroom, walking to town, great wood burning FP, beautiful porch and yard. I don’t know how it could be better than this ! clean, comfortable, just a perfect place.

This was our second time staying at the Dancing Bear. We love the nice new cozy home as well as the location to Main Street. The host are great and very welcoming.

House is in a great walkable location. It was clean, safe, roomy and beautiful. They took great care of us from the beds to the supplied towels and everything else we needed. The back porch was a lot of fun in the evening. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Communication from the rental agency was excellent from check in through check out. The added document describing things to do and restaurants was great as well. I would strongly recommend this location.

Perfect Gathering Spot

Such a wonderful home equipped with everything you need . We enjoyed walking to town for the Food and Wine Festival, hiking, and just sitting by the fire. Fun was had by all at Dancing Bear!

Great location

Loved the outdoor patio and creek view! Need to fix TV upstairs. In twin bedrooms remote doesn’t work even after a battery change.

Beautiful home in the heart of HIghlands

This house is very clean and well equipped. The home has lovely furniture and is an open concept. It is a short walk to town. The management company is very responsive and nice. We have stayed here before and will again.

The house is beautiful and updated- very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent- walking distance to downtown and near Harris lake. Highlands Haven

A few friends enjoyed a short reunion in the Highlands. This is a beautiful home within an enjoyable walk to town and various hiking trails. The property manager even accommodated a date change due to a death in one of our families, which goes to show you the quality of people whose home this is! It shines through. Thank you!

Better than EVER EXPECTED

We use vrbo often and we have NEVER stayed in a house that was this nice. If we owned a house in Highlands, it would be this house! The furnishings were so much nicer than most rentals! The location was perfect! Thank you for our perfect mountain get away.

Incredible house close to town

We totally enjoyed this house. It was well equipped and very easy to live in. It appears to be relatively new. The back porch overlooks a lovely back yard; we spent many hours reading there on comfortable porch furniture. Galax does a superb job managing the home.

Stunning property . Lots of space for 6 adults . Great location with short walk to centre of Highlands. Property manager was very proactive . Told us in advance about problem with Refrigerator - put 2 smaller refrigerators in the garage which worked well for us.

Spacious, beautifully appointed home within walking distance to town.

The home was so nice, and a quick ten minute walk to town. I am not sure when it was built but felt brand new, it was so clean and not cluttered at all. It has a very spacious kitchen and while we were not there for meals, it had everything you could possibly need. I would definitely rent again.

The house exceeded expectations. It was a girl's trip and everyone had a great time. A+ location!

Perfection

The house and grounds really are more beautiful than the pictures. The furnishings were to our taste, the master bed so comfortable. Short and easy walk to downtown, access to hiking and shops. Very quiet neighborhood. We felt right at home. We will definitely stay here when we return to Highlands.

Perfect family getaway

Beautiful home 5 minutes from the heart of town! Quite, clean and very well appointed ! We made steaks on the Weber grill under the covered back porch with the fire pit going and lit the wood burning fireplace inside. Perfect setting for a family get together.
