This "older house" does need a few upgrades, but it was great for my wife and I. It was very clean, and has all the amenities you need. We spent a lot of time on the screened-in porch with a great view of the ocean. The picture of a shark made of shark's teeth was awesome. Yes, we would stay here again.

Perfect location. Easy access to the beach. Plenty of outdoor seating at the cottage. House was clean and kitchen was well furnished. Just need to add that it is an older home meaning, there are minor imperfections. But all in all, it was a great experience.

Lovely vintage style cottage on the beach!

My family and I recently spent almost three weeks at this older but lovely little cottage on the ocean at Topsail Beach. We enjoyed the location (about one mile north of the Jolly Roger Pier); easy walking distance to the town of Topsail Beach. The beach in front of the house was very expansive and the beach combing was fabulous! Found many fossilized shark's teeth, including one the size of my palm. The house is cozy; it is a bit quirky but nothing that detracted in any way of our enjoyment. Owner Justin was a great host and very responsive. Beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed for a great vacation.

We had an amazing stay and loved it being oceanfront. Sitting on the rooftop deck was so nice first thing in the morning and late afternoon. When the rain came, the screen in porch was nice to still be outside and enjoy the sounds of the ocean. We made Chicken Alfredo and Tacos while we were there along with breakfast and sandwiches for lunch. We had 6 adults and plenty of room. We did not have any issues with the AC (as some of the reviews have noted). We will book again!

Great communication and quiet beach

This area on the island is quiet even on the busiest weekend of the year. The house has been around for a while so it needs some TLC which the owner expressed up front. The beds weren’t comfortable and the a/c struggles. The owner was very nice and open to comments for future improvements.

Great Value

Location is perfect. Loved the direct access to the beach. Communication and responsiveness with property management was wonderful. Quaint beach house was perfect for our stay. Great accommodations for the money. Would book again.

A short Mother’s Day getaway

Our stay here was short, but sweet despite the rain we made the best of our time here and the place was adorable. A few upgrades to the outside screened porch so that it didn’t leak when raining would be ideal. However, the place was suitable for our needs and had everything we needed and had an amazing time!

Perfect spot for a quick beach get away

The house was cute and cozy. Nothing fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect. Steps from the beach, endless views, quiet neighbors. It was a great place to relax and destress.

Charming and peaceful

We loved staying in this charming older beach house right on the beach. The house was clean and the kitchen and bathrooms were updated. Our favorite features were the screened porch and the two decks (lower and rooftop) with the beautiful views of the ocean. Cons: the sliding door from the house to the screen porch was heavy and hard to open and close, and getting to the beach required going over a steep hill, so this house might present some challenges for older/less mobile people. But it was perfect for our group (three women in our 40s).

Great vacation!

We've vacationed at several beaches in North Carolina, but we especially enjoyed our time at Topsail Beach. The parks and fishing areas were easily accessible, which was great as one of us has limited mobility. There were plenty of great seafood markets nearby, along with several grocery stores for anything we needed. The island also has bike paths and walking trails everywhere. One highlight was visiting the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue Center. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere of the island was exactly what we were looking for. Before our trip, the property manager reached out to provide us with helpful and welcoming information. When the house was ready, the local contact (who was the cleaning agent) let us know with a quick text—a thoughtful service. The house itself was older, but clean, well-maintained, and full of charm. It felt like a classic North Carolina beach house, with updates that hadn’t taken away from its cozy, welcoming feel. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped for our needs. There was a new washer and dryer in the master bathroom. We especially loved the screened-in porch, which became our favorite spot for chatting and working on puzzles. Though the homes are close together, mature plants between the properties gave us a nice sense of privacy. We had a clear view of the beach. In October, the beach was wonderfully quiet, nearly empty every day. We’ll definitely consider coming back for another vacation!

Adorable place!

This little place had so much character. We had everything we needed, the view was beautiful and we loved Topsail Island. Justin was great about communicating every detail before we got there. We would definitely visit again!

Wonderful stay at Topsail Beach

Five of us spent the long weekend at this lovely location. It is right on the beach and has multiple spaces to enjoy time together or in small groups. Would definitely rent again.

Nothing Like the Pictures

Upon arriving yard was completely overgrown. Walkway to the house was over grown with bushes. Central A/C was supplemented with multiple window units and still not good enough maintain cooler than the high 70s in the house. Electrical was so poor that the electricity went out in half of the house one night and they told the electrician not to come out until the next day. Bathroom door started coming off the wall due to the hinges being rusted and the door frame being rotted. There were multiple soft spots through out the floors. Would upload pictures if allowed.

Cozy cottage with great views

We had a wonderful mini-vacation at this lovely cottage. It was the perfect size and setup for the 4 of us. We spent hours on the screen porch, and the rooftop deck was a great evening hangout spot. Would definitely rent again.

older beach house. Great

The property was just as advertised. Very comfortable. Updated has been done to kitchen and baths. Great Views. The only thing negative is an extra roll of toilet paper would have been nice has to go out and buy some on the first night. Night lights in the bathrooms would have also been nice. But all in all, a great house with all of your needs met. Sliding glass door did not lock.

Weekend Trip

WiFi never worked properly. Circuit breaker tripped on tv and dvr (could not find circuit breaker. Bed was uncomfortable. Rotten wood walkways and stairs. We left a day early to be done with it.
