Kiwiana Batch in the heart of Golden Bay. The Hub offers a true Kiwi bach experience in Collingwood, Golden Bay.

Collingwood, a location that is enjoyed by so many families all year round, your family will love the freedom of staying by the beach. Walking distance to the local cafes and store. Only minutes to a boat ramp. Pre-approved pets are welcomed, please contact us when booking for additional pet approval, rules & pricing.

The boat ramp, Collingwood Beach & Township which offers cafes and Farewell Spit Tours is a short walk away, with Golden Bays most popular and loved beaches, Ligar Bay & Tata Beach, are a short drive away.

Only a short drive from the famous Mussel Inn.

The Space:
True Kiwi batch style experience. Boasting stunning ocean views whilst nestled into a quiet bush backdrop.
With a large open fire to cuddle up to in winter months, this property is perfect for a kiwi getaway year round!

The Neighborhood:
Wharariki Beach is by far one of the most stunning beaches in New Zealand. Huge rock formations, sand hills, caves, cliffs, dunes , white sand and baby seals.

Farewell Spit is New Zealand’s longest sand spit (25 km) and a nature reserve. It is an internationally-renowned bird sanctuary with over 90 bird species recorded in the area.

Heaphy Track is one of New Zealand’s nine great walks. Many people choose to walk only to the first or second huts on the track instead of walking its entire length which have toilets and running-water facilities. The Heaphy Track, also allows mountain bikes.

Abel Tasman National Park is a must see, golden sand and clear waters, 3 hour to 3 day walks. Don't forget your camera.

Getting Around:
There is no public transport to or within the Bay, a car is essential.

Highly over priced but great location

This house in the perfect location and a lovely design. However it's very tired and needs some serious love.If I had paid perhaps up to 400 per night this would have been somewhat acceptable but to pay over 700 night was exorbitant!It was booked a few weeks beforehand which left me with very minimal choice, however the photos left me with the impression that it was a well maintained property.

The location was beautiful, ocean views and right on the beach, which was great. Clean linen and towels, groovy bathroom. More suited to families with children with access to safe beach and swimming. We were a group of 5 adults Overall cleanliness of the house was average and smelt a bit 'musty.' Suggest to upgrade rumpus room to more adequate bed arrangement as it's advertised to sleep 6

Perfect

This lovely home was just perfect. Cosy and inviting right by the beach and grateful we could enjoy this with our dog. The views from the master just so relaxing and blissful to listen to the waves at night, and watch the sun rise. Birdlife galore, sweet garden and everything you could need, or a cafe just a five min bike ride away. Not flashy, but luxury in all the good ways! Thank you!

Amazing beachfront hideaway

This is an incredibly special place where you can truly relax and unwind. Surrounded by native bush and birds with a sublime view out over the beach and sea. Beautiful sunrises. For once a comfortable hard bed in a rental Yey! Walk to Collingwood or drive to nearby beaches and adventure spots. Property managers really prompt and professional to deal with. We are definitely returning. Thank you for sharing your little price of paradise.

I will be contacting you when I return to the UK. There were a number of concerns which I am sure you will wish to know about. 1. I have been billed and charged incorrectly with an additional unexplained sum of $222. for what is described as Host fees. 2. Accessing property stressful because of complications with providers. 3. Property filthy. 4. Wi-Fi sporadic at best. There are issues which are serious. I have had excellent service from Expedia in the past.

Seaside Stay

We loved the hand built nature of the bach and the upstairs bedroom meant views of stars at night and the gannets diving in the morning. Quick drive to Farewell Spit where we had a long walk. Beautiful location and friendly people in neighborhood.

Golden Spot

Great place to stay on the beach down a quite road in a cool little village. Courthouse Cafe is a gem and a full tide swim up the road in Puponga is a must.
