This beautiful ski in, ski out, Scandinavian inspired mountain home makes for the perfect get away for families or adult groups.
Well equipped and in a great location, you will have the perfect base whether you are skiing, visiting the nordic centre, hiking biking or simply relaxing in the hot tub enjoying the amazing mountain views.
Your mountain retreat is spread over three floors covering 3000 square feet.
On the top floor you have a beautiful living area, a cozy reading nook, a spacious dining area and a well equipped kitchen, with walk in pantry, as well as a half bathroom.
From this floor you can access the huge deck with hot tub, BBQ and fantastic views of the surrounding mountains.
The ground floor is home to the master and guest suite, both with luxurious king size beds, ensuite shower rooms and closet space.
The lower floor is home to the bunk room, with four full beds, and a further room with a twin over double bunk bed. These bedrooms share a family bath and shower room. Here you will also find a media room.
The property also has a full kit room, with heated boot dryers and place to store all of the outdoor adventuring equipment!

We had a perfect stay in this unit. The house is upside down with bedrooms on the lower levels and the shared living space on the top floor allowing for amazing views. Very comfy spaces on all three levels. The ski storage room is ideally situated. The kitchen is fully stocked and the dining room table is very large.

Sarah the host was very good at responding to our questions and requests.We found the duplex clean and inviting. The upper living area has a fantastic view of the Golden Valley. We enjoyed our ski weekend. The Lazy Moose Lodge is not ski out but is reached by ski-in.

Perfection

4 adults and 5 kids in total. The amount of space was absolutely perfect. The house was large, but still cozy. The best part? The most die for view you could ever have. The town of Golden is a 17 minute drive down. On the way, we spotted deers. Absolutely amazing. We would totally stay there again.

Great location and lots of room for everyone

It was very clean and had plenty of room for us all. The kid loved the double bunk beds & lower TV room. The games/reading room was a nice bonus and kept the kids entertained. This house functions very well for families as the kids rooms are downstairs & 2 masters are on the middle level.

Mountain Getaway

We had a great time at Sarah’s place. We were happy with the accommodation, everything in the description matched the house. The kids loved the bunk room and having their own space. Only thing that would have made the trip better was if Mother Nature had cooperated and snowed!

Gorgeous and Relaxing

Sarah's place is very welcoming and beautiful. Great layout for a group/a couple families. It's got everything you need to have a relaxing trip. Doesn't hurt you can ski in and ski out right from the property. Communication was quick and informative. Any questions were answered fast. Would highly recommend :)

Golden getaway

The property was beautiful and house was perfect for our big family. Having 2 master suites was nice for multiple couples. Lots and lots of space, tons of toys and games to keep the kids happy! It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Hot tub view was amazing at night, and everything surrounding was so picturesque! There are a few sets of stairs which is difficult for seniors, but overall this was a great spot and would come back for sure :)

Wonderful, comfortable and spacious

We (family of 7) stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. The 3-level condo was fully equipped and in perfect state. Hot tub, open kitchen and living with fireplace all contributed to good family time. The spacious mud room made our ski days. Minor point: navigation doesn’t recognize the proper road, so we needed help from the owner to find it, which we go immediately.

Awesome group mountain getaway

Stayed two nights with a group of 10, plenty of room for downhill and cross country ski gear. Everyone found all the beds to be extremely comfortable and the layout of the main floor was perfect for cooking as a group and hanging out together. It wasn’t too bad to get to the base of Kicking Horse ski resort, ~5minutes of walking and you’ll be on a ski run that goes straight to the base of the gondola. Would book here again if we do another trip to the area, easy check in process and quick communication from the hosts made things a breeze.

Amazing we will be coming back.

It’s huge. Hot tube was great. The kitchen had exactly what we needed. It is truly ski in. Had to walk only about 30 meters up a hill. The ski out is maybe a 100 meter walk up a hill. The skiing was magical. Thank you.

Good Stay

This was a good spot for our ski weekend at Kicking Horse. We did have issues with the hot tub on our stay which was a bummer, and unfortunately was not resolved before checkout. The place was tidy on arrival, but it wasn't as clean as we'd expect with a large cleaning fee (hair not belonging to our group, hot tub colour "off"). Despite this we would likely stay again, location is great and room setup is great for a group.

I’m sorry that you found the house less clean and tidy than it should have been. I will certainly pass your comments on to the cleaner. Unfortunately the hot tub issues arose because of the water level dropping when being used, this can happen with too many people in the hot tub or excessive splashing. This stops the water cycling properly which in turn disturbs the filtration.

The Best

To begin with the location is excellent for families who either downhill or xcountry skiing. The house was sparkling and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make a holiday meal. The layout of the house also lends itself to families with a variety ages as the bedrooms are well away from the living areas. And the mudroom is large enough to hold many pairs of wet boots, coats etc. Sarah the host was very responsive to a request . We would have liked an earlier/later check in/checkout. Other than that, I highly recommend this accommodation.

Stay was ok

Overall, stay was okay. Access codes for main house and garbage shack did not work. The code for main house access door worked but the lock was stuck and did not open automatically, we had to use garage door for access all the time. You need to be good bathroom singer or will become good a singer as door locks for all washroom doors except master suite washroom did not function properly. Tub in basement washroom drained very slowly from day one. Internet was very sporadic so infants made a huge fuss everytime their coco melon stopped, every night there was no internet. There is just one roll of kitchen paper towel provided for your stay so plan to bring your own cleaning supplies including laundry detergent. That said, house was clean and kitchen was well equipped. Hot tub worked properly and views are amazing.

Hi All of the access codes provided for you are correct. I know that you had some problems as you called me and I talked you through using them and then they worked. I am unaware of any issues with the bathroom locks, they have always worked without any problem when I have been at the property and I will look into this. We do not provide laundry detergent. I explained this to you, this is because I am not able to stock the house with the variety of detergent that would be required to suit all guests and all allergies, again I did explain this to you. The internet should work without a problem. Had you called me or let me know that it was a problem I would have suggested resetting the router as this would fix any issue. Again when we use the property we are able to use the Internet without any issues at all times of the day. I’m pleased that you enjoyed the house and the views.
